also thease speakers are made in cheap particle board and are moderately reinforced and just glued together, this leads to high resonance whom reduces the air pressure inside the enclosure, this means that more power goes to rattling the box.
FYI its not a PC input, its called AUX input and THAT is what you should look for on a HiFi if you want to use it as an amplifier for your PC or other audio equipment. PC input suggests USB connectivity, which is misleading, as it can mean a couple of things, USB Memory stick compatibility or PC Audio Driver/Controller. AUX INPUT used to be common amongst HiFi's but not these days and its a real shame. My guess is they do it to force you to buy surround systems that cost 6 times more money.
@supgreen1 You need an aux cable (connects to your ipod headphone jack and on the other side it connects to the speakers). There should be an aux output on the speakers right next to where the dock pops out. Hope it helps?
50w could be good but not in this case, in this case its false power ratings and low sensitivity=bad but if you to got some high sensitivity pro speakers or perhaps some vintage studio speakers and a amp whom puts out 50 "real" watts its enough to rock a party 20-100ppl :)
Is this compatible with the new iPod classic, 7th gen? I just received it for xmas, and ordered. I can't find any where where it says the compatible models.
Hey Matt you could of bouught a Sony dolby/DTS system for your PS3 instead. i have 1 its amazing.Every game is in 5,1.You can also plug an ipod into it lol
if you like bass this sucks, i got it bout' a month ago and took it back because of how bad it was. it is $180 here in canada and i got the MHC EC909ip for $200 which was a special, now its $250. anyway the 909ip is so much better, i think it is only available in canada and it is 540watts total rms which is super sexy. comes with two speakers PLUS subwoofer which is really nice, ITS HUGE!!! GET THE MHC EH 909ip
Your video is very good. But would of loved to of heard what the system sounded like and on the topic of using it for your pc is adaft thing its a music centre to listen to cd's, radio and the ipod, iphone. if you want something to use something for your pc then buy home cinema though they are used for the tv and dvd players but get one of them. a helpful tip from me SuperRaveman and remember [Dance Hard] [Rave Harder] [Hardcore All The Way]
will a ipod female and 3.5mm male cable work? I've searched on line and amazon has it but some ppl said it wont work on certain device and i dont want to risk buying it if it wont work cuz its $15 for one.... anyone has ideea?
seriously, you should've at least gave the viewers a test sound to what you think about the sound in general. that would've been helpful...just saying.
Purchased perfectly working unit at flea market Saturday for 5 dollars.

There's an aux port...you connect it to the aux on the unit and the other part into your computer...that's how it uses the speakers with pc.
Your PC must be an antique. Nearly all PCs have a 3.5 mm jack for audio out.
I bought the same bit of kit just last week.
i just got this and i absolutely love it
@xD4tK1Ddx You need to get the cable that has the red and white RCA plugs on one end and the 3.5mm "green" plug on the other side.
I used to have this hifi was good 👍
