Awesome! That’s what I’m hoping it will be like for me also. I’ve gotten to ride only a few minutes in between doing installs and bringing it back to the shop for tunes and stuff but I’m hoping to finally put some real miles on it with this new set up in the next few weeks
A lot of people are scared to go with taller risers but I can say just a couple inches can make a big difference in comfort. I had the thrashin 9.5” and added the 1.5” bung king extensions and it feels so much better.
Man I didn’t realize how simple of a swap it is with those risers! I just got a new bike and if I would have seen this first I would have went with the Murdocks instead! We need to see a side view of you sitting on it and where your arms sit
I will do an update for sure!!! And yeah it’s easy but that’s coming from my 8 inch murdocks. With the 8 inch risers I already swapped the clutch cable, brake line, and added electrical extensions
@@RidinDad Were all of those items necessary? I have OG Moto 10.5" pullbacks and an ODI Flight MX bar which will be ~14" overall. I'm trying to determine the most cost effective approach without buying things needlessly if the stock parts will work. Can you offer any guidance?
Hey man. Loved the video. I don’t know if you can dig up the wiring extension info or if it’s in a different video, I have the exact bike and I’m looking to do the same thing you did here (plus wiring). I’ve went all over the web looking for info on what to buy for wiring etc and there’s like no clear cut info.
In terms of wiring extensions there’s only one option. It’s just a regular extension. Guerilla makes them, I think la choppers makes them. Cable kits make them. I used the Harley brand one. You can go to any dealership and purchase whatever size they have in stock for it
One thing no one seems to cover when they go through multiples of parts is what do you do with the others? Put them up for sale somewhere, have a pile lying around the garage? haha. Also I plan on getting the same seat and am trying to decide what height risers and pull back I need at 6' for no higher than shoulder height and somewhat bent elbows, any chance you could take a side view of you on the bike once you get it all back together? Thanks for making these install videos. I've gone through a bunch of your videos and they are well done.
Thank you man, I appreciate you watching a lot! And yes I’ll definitely do an update. Somebody else has the same question for the side profile lol. I need to do a general update on all the new stuff I have on the bike and how it said so I’ll cover in that video in a few weeks once everything is completely done. I would say probably 10 or 12 inch risers would be good for you. I would say probably 12 inch or go with the 10 inch risers and get a higher bend bar than the stock bar that way it looks a little bit more proportionate if that makes sense. And thankfully I’m in a position with my social media platform to be able to sell the parts easier than most as long as they are in good condition and parts that people want. I’ve been able to sell a lot of them for pretty cheap and what I would consider to be fair prices, but there’s a lot that I still having a big bucket at home
Because of you I'm ordering the 8" Murdock, because I'm 6ft tall and just want a little more comfort. What size upper clutch cable do I need with this 8" riser pullback Murdock riser and stock bars? Using your code on the risers and getting the cable from magnum. Thanks again!
Thanks! I have a video a while back showing exactly which headlight this is with the link and everything. It’s from Amazon….company called Deabuy. The bucket is from Amazon as well and on that video I believe I posted a link for that also. Just need the wiring harness adapter
Lol no problem man. I also have a video coming up in a week showing a new headlight I just got from them. Very different style so you might like that instead. But it’s the same company so if you just look them up on Amazon and you all of the products one of them will be on there for sure
Gauges are in their stock configuration on the tank dash. If you’re talking about my powervision mount it’s from my machinist and I have a whole video on that setup with links as well
Thanks! And yeah. Had to do it ever since I went wutg the first set of taller risers. Can’t remember the height for the clutch or brake lines though. Electrical lines were extended with the generic Harley 10 inch ones
Thanks! And I have no idea lol. It’s the stock bar that comes on this bike. I would say it’s very somewhere to lay low bend bar from either Speed kings or thrashin . So if those have the measurements on it it’s probably very similar.
@@RidinDad Thanks for the reply man I went with a high bar from thrashing. I’m used to riding with ape hangers and I wanted a nice big gap in between my vision so I’m hoping that the higher MX bar with the 8 inch riser gives me what I’m looking for I really appreciate the response
I’m thinking to install the KRAUS raptor 1.5” pullback plates. Do you think that I need any additional wire extension like brake or clutch? Thanks man your video always been useful to me
I never did an 8 inch install video. Just did it quietly. I honestly don’t remember the lengths. But if you go to magnum sheilding’s website they show you stock length for those lines and then all the + or ~ options by how many additional inches they add or subtract. Super easy way to find. So let’s say you’re adding 6 inches of rise, just buy the plus 6 cable
Great Vid ! Did you change the riser bushings? I went with 8" risers and need a recommendation on which poly risers to go with. . .there are so many to chose from. . . .The stock rubber ones are just pure wobble. 😕
I want to add risers and moto bar to 21' Sport Glide. I have never done this before and do not intend to install myself. My goal is to straighten my back, raise and straighten my arms to just below the shoulder and have a slight bend in the arms. You and I are about the same height - 5'-8-1/2. (BTW you are not old enough to be experience body shrinking LOL). Do you have any guidance or method as how to determine the correct riser height and pullback? Does the pullback in the handle bars plus the pullback in the risers have to be added together in order to achieve the total desired pull back. Why did you change to a 10" riser? Do you factor in the handlebar rise to determine the proper riser height?
Hey man! So yes. Factor in riser and bar pullback for total pullback. I switched to 10 just to get a little more parallel. However, since this video, I have changed out my riser and my bar set up once again. Ultimately this wound up being just a little bit too high for my liking in my upper back in my shoulder blade area. And I still want an even more of a pull back. My current set up has a video someone recently on it. but I’m using a pullback trex plate and 8 inch pullback risers from krauss. It’s perfect.
Yo bro great video! I'm redoing risers. And I also lifted the front with the shims. Now the clutch cable is too short lol. What size clutch cable do you have? I've seen your more recent videos and the cable looks great.
Thanks man! I don’t remember the length. It’s been a while since I bought it. But it’s from magnum Sheilding. You just put your bike info in and see how many extra inches you want. Super easy to use
Refresh my memory….it’s just on a top clamp on the risers from factory right? The biltwell top clamp appears to be the same bolt pattern and dimensions as the stock
JP cycle said that the raiser doesn’t fit a Low Rider S 2020… and the link you provided the riser was over 300$… does that raiser truly fits Low Rider S 2020?
The regular biltwell Murdock? Yes it fits. You just watched me put it on that bike. And yeah. Prices have gone up unfortunately. I don’t control the price of these parts…
I make my own “kit” and I use all magnum Sheilding cables and lines. Just go to their website, put your bike in, and pick how much longer or shorter you want your cables/lines. I used the typical standard 10 inch Harley brand wiring extensions from the Harley store
You mean bolt? You can either use the bolts that come with it or upgrade to a grade 8. I don’t remember the size off hand. I’m pretty sure it’s a 1/2 thick bolt but I don’t remember the length
Yes, I believe I talked about that. But I already added brake, and clutch lines from my 8 inch risers as well as an electric extension for the other wires. On the Lowrider S the tallest you can go using stock clutch and brake lines are 6 inch risers and even that is pushing it. And even with the 6 inch you need electric extensions
I don’t remember the lengths. I e had them for a while from my 8inch risers. I use stock Harley electric extensions. And magnum Sheilding for brake and clutch lines.
Been a while since I posted this video. If you’re referring to the risers I’m using in this video I linked them in the description and stated they were biltwell Murdock risers. At the time of this video I don’t even think Tucker speed had risers out yet. They’re relatively new.
No sorry. These bolts come with the bung king riser like I said but if you need some I don’t have the exact measurements off the top of my head. My recommendation would be to take the stock bolts out and just bring it to your local hardware store that sells grade 8 components and measure the threading and the length
They do, at least where I’m at. Very small selections though. Can’t remember if they have this size. Lowes is better but ace hardware or tractor supply is 1st by a long shot. Way better selection
That may be your experience unfortunately but I’ve had nothing but great results from them. Their quality has always been great and I’ve used many items from them. I’m sorry you had a bad experience
I've been running these bars for 5k miles and I love them. At 5'9 my arms are completely level and the reach has me sitting perfectly upright.

I almost bought the 8" when I got my risers... but I've always heard everyone say go the next size bigger! I'm super glad I went with 10"
Very true! That would be why I went from the stock 4 inch, to 6 inch, then to 8 inch, and now 10 LOL. It’s a good rule of thumb for sure!
A lot of people are scared to go with taller risers but I can say just a couple inches can make a big difference in comfort. I had the thrashin 9.5” and added the 1.5” bung king extensions and it feels so much better.
