Very good video, love your voice, i live on the wirral between Ellsmere port and Liverpool so i know the areas in this video very well . Have you thought about doing a video about haunted Liverpool so many stories out there. Keep going your channel will grow, best wishes to you.
Thank you! And there is so much rich history on these isles that there will be no shortage of subject matter in future. I'll definitely put Liverpool on my list ☺️
Thanks for the tour of the "Shroppie". I do believe in imprints being left behind, especially in cases of sudden and violent deaths, and water amplifies spiritual energy.
@Hidden_Realms there are supposedly some bigfoots up in Scotland I have seen a wodern statue of one up there and there is plenty of woodland up there for them to Rome around in so you never know there are stories around the world about them as well so we can keep an open mind
There are no Bigfoot near me i live in a town there is supposedly a statue of a Bigfoot up in Scotland there is plenty of woodland up there for Them its a wild enough place so you Never know some people believe in the Lockness Monster so we can keep an open mind there is even a museum and shop there as well for the Lockness Monster i have had a t-shirt with the monster on it so why can’t a Bigfoot exist in the wild up there
Yeah, the haired knuckle dragging simple-minded creatures living in the far reaches of civilisation. I was just wondering, how you can tell the difference between a those creatures up in Scotland and a Bigfoot? It must be the sporrans, Bigfoot creatures don't wear sporrans, but the locals have been known to.
Very entertaining, and 'different' - I know the Shroppie Cut - the Shropshire Union Railway & Canal Co to give it its full title fairly well. (There used to be a cast iron ownership and 'no trespassing' sign on a bridge just outside Market Drayton in my 1950's/60s childhood.) Some of the tales are familiar, though I'd not heard the 'escaped beast' take on Bridge 39 before. No, I don't believe in the wierdo cryptid stories of Cannock Chase - I used to live there, and those silly tales are a fairly new phenomenon. Also, the M6 now lies between the Chase and the Shroppie, so I'd not fancy a woodwose's chances of surviving that journey more than once! Anyway, just for the record, Tom (L T C ) Rolt included quite a good little canal tunnel ghost tale in his book 'Sleep No More'.
This reminds me of a time, I was walking along the Shropshire Union Canal one night, on my way home from the pub. It was a deathly silent, warm night. The air was still, it felt like I was being watched. I quicken my pace, holding back the urge to run, when all of a sudden. I felt something touch my leg! I turned around and sure enough, I saw something behind me! I cursed my fate, why me? Why did I have to be the one to witness such horror? I should have never taken the towpath along the Shropshire Union Canal. Sure enough, I'd brushed my leg on some stinging nettles, wearing shorts and sandals. I was lucky, I survived the encounter, with only a painful rash and a mild case of post-traumatic stress disorder, but I finally made a full recovery, although I do have flashbacks now and then.
@@Hidden_Realms Thank you for your concern. I just hope others take heed and learn from my harrowing ordeal. We can only pray this haunting experience never happens to another unsuspecting soul in the future, but I can't shake the feeling.... I won't be the last victim of that darkened towpath....
Woodwose, It's a woodwose. The story of the woodwose is really old, it goes back much further than the 1800's. The first mention of a woodwose goes back to the 1100s.
@@Hidden_Realms I'm sorry, I can't remember.. I just remember something about a knight/Lord, saying his party was attacked by a woodwose and one of them died. I can't remember if it was around Cannock Chase, or not. I'll see if I can find the book. It's about British folklore, that might be the title. I'll see if I can find it online, it's a great book, it could be of help to you and your channel.
Fascinating, beautifully presented, well-researched quality material with a lovely and perfect narrator’s voice. Utube at it’s absolute best!

As long as you're mostly recovered, that's the main thing 🤣

A woodwose in the Cannock Chase area, or woodwose in general?
