Growing up I've always heard that storks bring good luck, and that it's unlucky to bring peacock feathers into the house. Very informative video. It's amazing how all these myths and superstitions have endured through centuries.

Romans were terrified of owls and would double the guard at camp if an owl was heard near..Ravens were very revered by the iron-age people and probably earlier..They thought ravens were passed warriors or Druid’s..One Iron Age coin shows a man dressed in what looks like a cape that looks a raven’s shape and he is holding a torc..It could depict a Druid..But ravens were thought of highly..Also water foul, ducks, geese swans etc..The celts were horrified seeing Romans kill to eat them..Though they used duck fat to cover fishing capes with for waterproofing, this again would have been seen as “magic”..Water is the entrance to the underworld of the dead..So water, which gives life to drink but can also drown you..Also you can float on water or sink and plus before mirrors, water was the only way to see your reflection..All again was “magic”..So birds that could float naturally and dive at will would be special..
Great video and all the best
