@GoodMorningGamer because this business is hard and capital intensive with thin margins. He sold $ 5 million in product for a net profit $300k. And he's successful. That's a gamble normal people won't make.
I'm just wondering how you're not worried about any repacked boxes or anything like that. That's my biggest fear when I'm importing cards is that I'm going to get ripped off with unlegit boxes. I don't have the capital to get screwed on in order
I think your mistake is assuming people will buy blindly anything that is considered high class japanese set. You need to see the list of cards and potential hits and make decision considering those. Vstar Universe is more desirable because it has better selection of cards and more hits. That's why it appreciated in value in such a short time. Shiny Treasure ex is considered a bad set since there're not many hits inside and only few desirable cards. Majority of the set is build from baby shiny pokemon cards and full art shiny which are considered bad cards - weak "hits". The only desirable cards and true hits are SARs which are very few and extremally hard to drop. I wouldn't invest in this set, especially not with loan.
All I know is we’ve sold more shiny treasure boxes than vstar universe boxes in a small fraction of the time. You’re deffs right about value difference but ultimately more people are going to buy a $65 high class set than a $90 one. Logical or not, it’s apparently how (my customers at least) think 🤷
@@pokene_pokemon I assume for 100 000 you bought around 1800 boxes for 55$ each. If you're selling for 65$ you're getting 10$ per box not counting taxes or fees. So you're investing 100 000$ to get 118 000$. It's a bit too risky, this kind of return is too small to make such bold move. In my opinion.
Yeah its more likely he got them $40-45 each meaning 2200-2500 boxes. And even selling at $52 on his site is a 15-30% profit right now. If hes correct about prices going back up to $80 (which is HIGHLY likely) then his profits will be much more. At the end of it all when its said and done hes gonna make between $30k-100k profit in 3-6 months. Lets just use the middle and say 75k. Minus the shipping costs & paypal cut, it's very reasonable to say he can profit at least $50k from shiny treasures alone. All this is just a forecast like weather of course but its highly likely due to the current state of the market.
@@unclen2479 You're too optimistic. I wouldn't put my money in this set because it's truly average/bad. People won't buy anything with Pokemon in name anymore. With 100K you can make bigger profits doing other activities. Buying Shiny Treasures ex is a huge gamble since the set is a letdown. The era of pumping is over for now. Singles from this set plummeted. I fail to see reason why people would keep buying this set and the prices go up.
You started your business at the right time and banked on the new japanese market here in America. You're now one of the if not the largest sellers of Japanese sealed product in the county. You earned the right to make whatever business moves you see fit. Ggz Brian good on you bud.

Im aquiring my 1k box position now. I had the excact same situation as you with vstar universe and missing out feels worse then taking calculated risk.
I think I have bought at least 9 of these off of your website already in the last month, I love this set! Sure theres not as many big hits but that makes the set that much more worth it lol
$4500 finance charge on $100k paid back in 3-6 months is pretty rough. 9-18% depending if you are closer to 3 or 6 months. Surprising they let it go to 10*90 days so almost 3 years? Really low rate if you go that slow with it. I am sure they wouldn't be happy lol.
That’s what I do. I buy all my TCG product below retail and then set up my shipments to run automatically once I come back to the states. Have fun in Japan

Hey Brian, I think it’s important to include in the video that you need to have at least $15k in sales to even be considered for the this type of loan. Most people are most likely beginners and not even close to this type of sales.
I'm genuinely surprised Shiny Treasures moves as well considering how ass the configuration is. VStar Universe had way more hits while ST was an EX in each pack and only 4 (out of 90!) Shiny cards. Should have been one baby shiny per pack and then one big hit per box.
@pokene_pokemon I'm gonna guess it has something to do with price? Like VSTAR is sitting at 90 while Treasures is 60. It would probably rot on the shelves at 90.
I don't really understand the logic with the "one time fee". If you're paying a one time fee of 9k, you're paying a 9% interest rate. Maybe things in the US work a little different than in my country, or there is something I'm not seeing
The 9k was if you paid only 15% per sale , there was 3 options on the screen, if you agreed to pay 30% of every sale then the interest rate was the 4.5% or whatever it was. He didn’t go over the middle option and the lowest option was paying 15% of every sale, and THAT was the 9%. So he legit got a 100k loan for like 4500 .
@@pokene_pokemon how many are in a case? I thought I saw it say 20 and you have that on the site for $1200 but if I did individual boxes it comes out to $1050 is that right?
A case is usually more expensive than individual boxes. Mostly for the safety of it I think. If it comes right out of a case it can’t have been tampered with
