I bought this ACME Auto AFH33FB headliner and show you the process for installing it.
correction. I say it is a 1994. It is a 1996. The headliner part number is the same from 93-97 so I don't know how different the process would be.
Hoping to do this on my ranger soon, the headliner is basically non existent except for a few spots so im pretty excited to see it look brand new. Thanks for the video!

Best $700 I ever spent. Like my Ranger. My vasectomy was only $500 but factor in inflation (I'm old and they cost more now) and it's a close race.
Traded a 2000 Honda Rebel 250 with 25k miles for it.

Very good tutorial, I want to add a grab handle on my ‘99 XL that doesn’t have that feature since it’s just the base model. How does it mount to the roof, is there clips or something?
I don't remember. I sold that truck six years ago. Maybe the video shows if you pause at the right time.

@@user-nq5rd4ck5zI eventually figured it out, there was no clips or anything just 2 mounting holes & I was able to install a grab handle to the roof. Just had to trim a couple holes in the headliner.

Thank you for this! Very helpful! I was wondering, though, if I took out the ugly old headliner, and did not replace it - just left a metal roof, would I still be able to put everything else back in it's place - the visors, etc. Thank you !

Thanks. It makes a huge difference. When I bought the truck I called it The Hepatitis Hurricane (it has hurricane graphics on the side). Scrubbing the interior and replacing this headliner and I'm not embarrassed any more.
As I was in the process of doing this thinking "And these screws are long" lol

hey I just a bought a 95 ranger to save on gas and start doing a rebuild on my jeep. atleast I know I'm not the only one that did that lol.
Solid fleet. I've replaced the Ranger with an 85 Squarebody. It's not so good on gas.

I replaced one in my 93 supercab. Almost the same process. It was more of a pain to get it in the truck.

Judging by the dash shape, the truck in this video is a 1995 or later. My 1994 dash is different from a 1995 & later.

thank you for the video. was looking at LMC for theirs but I had already found Acme at Rockauto for almost $100 less, looking at their video and yours it looks as though the headliner is similar or practically the same as same installation. How has the Acme headliner held up for the time since you installed it?

Great video. Going to get one soon from rockauto. Did you use the medium graphite? I have the same interior but they also have a smoke and opel grey color.
Yeah, good question. I don't remember which color I bought. There is a color chart if you click the info button on Rock Auto's site.
Any recommendations if my roof is complete metal like in between u repairing yours and my floor board on pass side is soaked after snow melting.. no dew on inside ofnroof so not sure where it's coming from..but inwant to out SOMETHING as inside liner but not spending alot of money .. thanks in advance for opinions..
So many possibilities. Gotta figure out where it is coming in. On a warm day maybe garden hose it. Sun roof, door seal, window seal, chmsl, hole in the floor, heater core...
I was having a hard time finding a replacement headliner. I have a 1994 Mazda B4000 and it's the same as the 94 Ranger. Thanks for the description of the part number. I'll see if I can find it. One more thing. Do you have info on where a replacement dash could be found? That would be the top part of the dash, not the part that holds the gauges. Thanks for the video. I'll be accessing it again when I do my replacement.
Rock Auto for the headliner. I've never looked for the dash pad.
@@user-nq5rd4ck5z Thanks. I think I'll order the one for the Ranger. It looks like the same exact one. Rock Auto doesn't show one for a Mazda. I've tried to look closely at the Ranger and it looks like the same thing to me. The same is true for the top dashpad that Rock Auto has.

@@paulao.3338 Yes. It worked great. It wasn't difficult to do either really. A very nice improvement. I did a lot of things when I did that. I replaced the door handles, the dashboard, the rear view mirror etc. Oh, and the color was perfect for me.

Good video. I did find the Acme headliner at rockauto.com. Which color of grey did you get because that looks like the one I need. My truck is a Mazda not a Ranger and so my color just says light grey and the one for the Ranger has two different colors with different names. At any rate, the one I want is the color you got.
