I have been learning about and taking notes about witchcraft for over a month now and have yet to put in any practice because I want to learn as much as I can before diving in. I am normally the type to dive in but I have been taking my time. But now, when I was watching this video I had this huge burst of "you need to go home and try this right now!" so I think that is what I am going to do after work. When i went to get my pendulum, i was so excited because I wanted the prettiest, most perfect one. The one that kept calling to me turned out to be clear crystal (maybe a type of quartz?) one with a splotch of orange on the bottom and with a tiny chip on the side. No matter how hard i tried to connect with the “prettier” “perfect” ones, this one kept drawing me back.
ye my Shiva Lingam pendulum has a hole on bottom, the cap has to be glued cuz was loose and it has a little scratch on the side... - but it picked me! And its funny cuz they were packed in transparent foil (so sadly I couldnt swing them) and I wanted to pick "the pritties version of the stone" and got one with all above xd but still love it to bits!
Yes so true lol I just got mine today and when I was looking through the selection of them it was like “ooh that one’s cool” “oh I like that one” and then I saw the one I now have lol it was being so loud like choose meee! Haha
Ok so I'm a beginner witch and I'm not sure if I was doing this right, but I've used it to ask wild plants and trees if it's ok to take leaves for spells and such. I didn't feel comfortable just taking ingredients, and sometimes I felt like a weird vibe from certain trees so I started using it to talk to them. I also use to ask which direction I can find something and that's worked really well.
I’ve been a witch for a long time, but I’ve never been able to get into pendulum work. Thank you for this video because I finally get it! For the record the shop-bought pendulums I’ve bought or been gifted just don’t feel right, but I intuitively tied an old amethyst pendent to a length of black ribbon and it was so excited to be working with me again it was like working with a puppy that just wants to please you, lol. Moral of the story? You can teach an old witch new tricks 😄
I have had my pendulum vibrate and pull down like it’s heavier. Usually my yes/no is a spiral swing. Very awesome divination tool. I am still learning, but it’s intriguing for sure
I build deeper relashionships with my gems and pendulum by kissing them a few times after every time I make contact with them or use them as they use me, I also say thank you for being here and being here to help me and bring me joy.
I always say thank you several times to the spirit guides that choose to help me. And I always say Good-bye to my pendulum spirits, like when someone use a ouji. It is so important to be courteous.
I mainly use protections during spiritual workings or higher ceremonial magicks rather than every time. I will definitely think of doing a video for this, it's something I never considered others to be interested in :D

I saw another video in which he had a "maybe" motion. I like the idea of just "yes or no" questions but I think that there are subjects that are just too nuanced for a "yes or no". Perhaps you should ask: Am I lucky today?

Okay, I have a wild-ass pendulum story for ya. One that literally just happened: I have a pendulum here that I made a couple of years ago, but never got around to using or testing. It's made from an old lead crystal... fob?... that once hung as a pull for a ceiling fan. It's a faceted teardrop shape, and the back/top where the ring for the chain went broke, leaving no hole to hang it by. I used copper wire to fabricate a sort of bale so it could be hung again, and put it on the end of a leather thong. It's not particularly pretty, and my work with the wire is rough, to say the least. ...then promptly hung it up behind my oil candle that's always kept burning, and pretty much forgot about it. Well, watching this vid, and the bit about the test, I decided to give this one a go. Hanging it off my finger as Hearth Witch described, it hung dead-still... until I asked it if it could give me a swing. Next thing I know, it's making circles, and waving back and forth like it was hung up on a ship's mast in the middle of a bad storm... while my hand didn't appear to be moving at all. Then after about 30 45 second, it just stopped. When I could pick my jaw up off the floor, I repeated the request to swing, and it once again started in with the same gyrations. I kid you not, I'm absolutely not making any of this up, and am utterly astounded. I guess I need to look into working more with pendulums, huh?

I would say if you have crystals that you enjoy working with and connect with, a crystal cage is always an option. I've done it before, as I cannot find a pendulum with the one crystal I most want one in; moldavite.
Such a good idea, crystal cages are wonderful for this. I love moldovite pendulums, they're very very strong and not everyone likes them so they're pretty hard to find.
I created my own from a string and a lead weight. It helped me with an area I need to research. One of my ancestors didnt return from the first world war. He pointed me to his regiment, btn & his medal card. He wanted to be found and the family told his story. He was never put on the CWGC register because his body was never found

This video gave me the inspiration to pick up the pendulum I have-a carnelian one that I've put off using simply because I wasn't ready to dive into pendulum divination. As it turns out she reads amazingly well and (unsurprisingly) has a lot of fiery energy. I just realized that I'm wearing a jade pendulum! I got this pendent and chain 6 years ago and I've been wearing it almost everyday since. It was such a fun process to find the pendant that I was drawn to and the perfect chain for it. The jade pendant I chose is in the shape of a pendulum with a squirrel on the top! I've be er thought to use it as a pendulum. I'm going to try now.

after watching this video i bought my first pendulum, there were many beautifull ones but i was drawn to a labradorite pendulum,i bought it, as soon as i held it i felt some thing, asked it if it wanted to work with me and imediatly replied yes, it ansewed some other questions right away accuratly , i thanked it and said i loved it, asked if it loved me ..yes right away..it is astounding i never used one before and i was sceptical, but it definatly moved by itself i am so pleased with it. i want to thank you because i have learnt so much watching your videos .i am so gratefull and you are my favorite thank you hearth soo much.
So... I went for a walk today. I found a cool piece of green glass, about an inch tall, roughly blade-shaped. For some reason, I felt like I needed to pick it up. I happened to stumble on this video and remembered my little glass shard, and just turned to look at this. I got myself some metal wire and lavender-coloured thread, and when I asked my little glass pieces would like to swing for me, it instantly started to do so... My Aunt taught me to use pendulums, I was a skeptic that the hand influences too much but I’ve always found myself using them to as an extension of my own self. I also do this to escape the rationality of polar reasoning that bounds their use. I now go hiking with 2, made from arrow tips from my first “Robin Hood” that I carry to balance, keeping them still, one in each hand and I become the source.
Getting a pendulum in a shop is ideal and I would suggest to try all different types and keep an open mind because some do work better than others and it has nothing to do with how it looks but more how that vibration is in alignment with yours because you develop a relationship with your tools over time.

You are so inspirational Hearth Witch! I really admire how down-to-earth and how open-minded you are. I send you unending gratitude for all the help you have provided. I do not come from a family of witches so I was not taught in how to work with energy. since I was a little girl though, I can remember I always felt way more at peace when I was surrounded by foliage than surrounded by people. I think this is because I am an empath. and when overrun with emotion and not understanding where these emotions come from it gets quite overwhelming and causes great anxiety. Please continue releasing new videos. and I don't know how the Covid crisis is in the UK at this point, but here in Florida in the US, the government has opened things up again and things are almost back to normal except for the fact that the numbers of people infected with covid-19 continually rise now that people are going back out and about. so even though it can get irksome to constantly have to be at home and away from people, for me is personally way worse to be stuck inside a hospital room because I'm sick. I went to a shop today to look at some tarot cards and none of them caught my attention but as I was walking around the store, I came across the pendulums. I looked at every one and only one caught my eye but I decided I could make one. I left the shop and couldn’t stop thinking about that pendulum so I went back to get it. It was an instant connection!

I have been a practicing witch my whole life I am now 39 and it has been a journey, practicing on the different continents at diff stages of my life ❤️ in 2016 my nephew was shot and murdered. I was at home 🏡 and my pendulum was hanging on the wall it just started whipping itself so fast left to right , back and forth. I knew. I have many nephews but I knew it was him and my heart I just knew it was him and he was gone. He was saying goodbye that he loved me and He needed me to be there for his Mom , it was just too much for her poor heart ❤️. I was able to get the hard work done so she could mourn. But my hands 🙌🏼 ,no hands,no human was within six feet of the pendulum and it swung on its own.
I bought a pendulum online from Starry Night and it works tremendously. The first pendulum I ever used was my friend's and it worked tremendously. I was an atheist/absurdist, and it changed my perception of reality overnight. Now I'm on this crazy journey trying to understand what I've stumbled upon.
My pendulum (that I’ve used for some years now), is a necklace from my grandmother for my birthday I think it was. I don’t know why but I really connected with it, even though the person who gave it to me isn’t my favorite all the time. When I use pendulum boards, I’ve done it differently. Instead of using it like a pendulum normally is used, I tend to use mine more like a Oujia board where my pendulum is used to hovering over answers most of the time. That’s just how I do it.
It's so good to hear someone saying your pendulum can be pretty much anything! Mine is a crystal necklace charm on a metal necklace cord thing, with a ring that my partner got made for me in college as where I hold it. I wear them everywhere- I can't wear the ring on my hand anymore because I work in a kitchen- and have a system with it that gives me yes/no/maybe or unsure/yes but not straightforwardly/no but not straightforwardly. I used to ask it every time what the answer was, but it's always always always been the same, so I've done it less and less. It's never been wrong in my working memory, and it's genuinely one of my most prized possessions.

i love this video!! the main pendulum i've been using for a few years now is a necklace that i never take off. im jewish and a witch so it's a magen david (star of david) pendant and it's the one i've connected to the most since it's with me 24/7 and very connected to my energy. pendulum divination is so underrated and i love seeing more videos about it since it's been a staple in my craft for years! i especially love your discussion about the direction of the swing, my "yes" has always been a straight line in any direction and my "no" has always been a circular motion in any direction. thank you so much for sharing!!!!

Would like to take the time to thank you for this video. Watch this video a while ago and shorty after had a dream in regards choosing a pendulum, the dream guided me to a clear quartz crystal. When I popped into my local store was able to locate mine a lot easier. The second one gave my hand and forearm a very clean feeling. Have used my pendulum a few times now and getting more tuned.
@@HightLink spirit boards are a valid form of magickal practice just like tarot, deity work, spells, etc. they have a horrible reputation, but the stigma is mostly unwarranted.
My method for answers is swinging back and forth towards me and the altar, is a yes. Almost like confirming the connection. Swinging left and right is no, and resembles barrier. I also use clockwise for maybe/not quite, an answer that is more nuanced than yes or no. Counter clockwise is i dont know, or confusion. So i might rephrase the question or move on to a different one. When I start I jist ask the spirit if they are willing to answer questions, and I always go by the same swings for answers. It works for me!
Informative! When you first asked which swings were "yes" and "no", I see the video was sped up. About how long did the swing go from beginning to end? Can a swing change mid-answer? Like from Yes to No?
Depends on the pendulum, each has it's own way. And it can change, but best to ensure you know which is which before you start, it can take a while to get a singular answer.
Having agoraphobia going into stores are not an option for me so I ran through quite a few Pendulums before finding the one that worked for me. I was starting to get disheartened and kind of gave up then out of the blue months later one popped up on my FB feed...it was love at first sight! I bought it on the spot then instantly started doubting it would work (buyers remorse witch style) I'm happy to report it works wonderfully! So I would say they can be found on the net but be prepared to run through quite a few looking for "the one"
Yes, this video was long but it was well worth the time you invested making it. It answered a lot of my questions, gave me conversations, and boosted my confidence. I've had the feelings of making a pendulum spirit board for a very long time . I've even seen in a vision a board similar to your round on with all the writing but on a block of would. mu current pendulum (the only one i own) i definitely had a real connection with. It answered all of the questions like 'do you feel a connection to me?' and 'would you like to work consistently with me?' as yes and i'm so happy that it feels the same connection i do. it also is really pretty but that's not the point.
Agree, I believe it’s meant to answer/move the way we truly believe and feel. The energy it will move it towards, will answer it physically so we finally agree.
I often find my pendulum divination aren't accurate, time and time again it's given me a yes answer and it is wrong. It seems to only tell me what I want to hear. I just hold it over the palm of my opposite hand and it spins in a circle for yes and from side to side for no. I've never tried it with a board before though.
I find if I focus on the answer I hope it will give, it may give that answer instead of the truthful one. I need to disconnect from the desired answer and go into the reading from a disconnected perspective to get more accurate readings.
I just want to thank you for all the awesome information. I bought my first pendulum today. it was inside a show case there were others outside the case. But the one in the case called to me. After seeing your video I did what you suggested by asking the question of did it want to work with me. I got an instant yes from it. I was so happy to know that what I was feeling in the shop was true ...it called to me.
I personally really like a construction plumb bob (a Stanley 47-974) for no-nonsense direct answers. Maybe it says more about me though that that is what I connected with. EDIT: and yes, a pound of brass is cumbersome, but my hands aren't steady enough to get good consistent answers from a light pendulum.
Don't remember the book except it was about pendulums, but the author touched on an individual they knew who used a large weight on a nine foot chain as a pendulum. The person had to stand on a ladder, but that was their tool of choice. The process getting to that point must have been interesting. Anyway, if you think you can work with it and be comfortable, that's your business.
And three weeks later, that’s exactly where I bought mine after years of going without one. I was just there to browse their books and looked over to my side for some reason, and this amethyst pendulum was just sitting there on a random shelf calling to me. It was the strangest feeling. I didn’t even feel the need for one when I entered the store, and as soon as I saw it, I felt compelled to buy it. It was an instant bond and I couldn’t leave without it. Amethyst isn’t my birthstone or anything but I’ve always felt a connection to that particular stone for some reason. The whole experience just fell too perfectly into place to be a coincidence.

I've used them for direction finding, as in when looking for something. For mine, anti-clockwise is Left; clockwise is right; forward is a front to back swing; backward or behind is a left to right swing. Works pretty well. I've always leaned toward the subconscious/micro-muscular movement also, but I can see other ways for them to work being valid as well if using them for communication with specific energies. Seems like it would depend on who one is asking - if I'm trying to figure something out myself, probably my subconscious; if I'm asking the Earth spirits, probably them, etc.

I sent a message to an artist friend of mine who works with wood and asked if she has the time to make a small pendulum board for me - a simple one - and what she would charge. It would be a meaningful board as well as an art piece, so I'm hoping she has the time.
this is great stuff!! just want to say that the pendulum also swings diagonally! my 'yes' is circular and 'no' is diagonal! Also they can differ depending on the pendulum you use - i.e. you may have a few pendulums and they all can have different 'yes' and 'no' swinging motions.
Thank you, this is great video! I started using my pendulum very recently, but I've always felt strange energies around me, like I'm never alone (even when I physically am). Interestingly I get very powerful swings, almost like someone is pulling my pendulum. I will continue using it and see where this goes.

One day it occured to me there are other things than ghosts and unfortunately the pendullum said Yes when I asked if whatever is in my flat is of demonic nature. @@svetlanaivanova4497 Do you feel that "spirit" all the time? Do you feel it only when you are in your home/room or everywhere or maybe wherever you take the pendulum? You could try hiding it somewhere out of your home and even better somewhere far and see if you still get that feeling.
I used letter board. Once you relax feels like a trickle of hot air running down my hand. In the beginning I felt really drained but it told me to drink juice and it helped. I would not suggest that you use it during days when you feel low or tired and ill. I had demonic beings attaching to my old pendulum because if that. Saying it's Jesus and trying to make me afraid. I was fine but my cat was being terrorised by them. I have also used pendulum to point me into finding lost earnings etc in a room.
I saw a moonstone one. Thought it was labradorite. Knew I *should* get it based on my obsession with iridescent/blue/rainbow moonstone. So. I *did* get it, with a tiny in-depth circular spirit board. Wore it over night. Throughout the day. Kind of like the new dice superstition. And it already seems to be doing the things you said it would do. No burning questions/ immediate need to use it though, so, it’ll just be hanging out. ☮️

The shop tht I go to has set up a table full of pendulums and when I was looking at them (didn't touch the table) as I was standing there getting a feel for them the majority of them started moving on their own, it was neat, one that was closest to me was swinging in a circle. I already have a pendulum so I didn't get it as I was there on a budget to get other stuff. If it's still there next time I'm in ima revisit it n see if it wants to come home 😁
My hair is brown, and the first question I asked my pendulum was "Is my hair brown?". The pendulum went up and down and I asked it some more obvious questions. knew what was yes, no, and I dont wanna tell you. I asked it once again if my hair was brown and it said yes. I then asked it "Is my hair blond?" It was just still for a second and then started slowly going in a circle (I dont wanna tell you/idk) and after about 10 or so seconds it went to no. I just thought it was quite funny and wanted to share that story
This gave me an idea What if you made a circle on your table of all the tarot cards, face down And you asked your pendulum to connect to the cards as it would a board So your pendulum could answer questions using tarot cards And I know that sounds like a tarot reading with extra steps, but idk, it's a picture I got in my mind while watching this, and maybe there's a reason you'd do this
very educational video! but tis is just a tip I have, you don't have to use it but its a great thing! when you get a new pendulum, cleanse it! me personally, I always think that pendulums I have never gotten before, I cleanse it so no bad energy is connected to it, or even bad spirits, jokers, ect!
I use pendulums for Weather/ Seasonal Divination I've created pendulums from old sterling silver chains & rings that I don't wear at all ! I need to have my arm in the air,but I wrap the excess amount of chain around my index finger..( I'm left handed ,so I always holding the pendulum in my left hand..) Hearth, Since there aren't any metaphysical stores where I live...So going on line for anything that's connected with witchcraft is the only option that I have...
I heard that a pendulum “yes” is back and forth and a “no” for a pendulum is side to side. Now that’s what I was told. But I personally believe that where ever you put “yes and no” you will still have the same answer.
You can find a pendulum at any decent hardware store and its virtually identical in shape. Its called a plumbob and is used for stacking masonry in a straight vertical line or marking a laser line straight to the ground. They look decent as well and are usually made of polished brass. They are just a bit bigger than a witchy pendulum so maybe it would be better for using standing up or outdoors. I think some of them even screw open to reveal a little compartment for string, which u could put crystals or artifacts inside or something. I just realized this construction tool is almost exactly the same as a divination pendulum while listening to the video and Im probably gona go buy one soon now to test it out.

When i went to get my pendulum, i was so excited because I wanted the prettiest, most perfect one.
The one that kept calling to me turned out to be clear crystal (maybe a type of quartz?) one with a splotch of orange on the bottom and with a tiny chip on the side. No matter how hard i tried to connect with the “prettier” “perfect” ones, this one kept drawing me back.
ye my Shiva Lingam pendulum has a hole on bottom, the cap has to be glued cuz was loose and it has a little scratch on the side... - but it picked me! And its funny cuz they were packed in transparent foil (so sadly I couldnt swing them) and I wanted to pick "the pritties version of the stone" and got one with all above xd but still love it to bits!

Ok so I'm a beginner witch and I'm not sure if I was doing this right, but I've used it to ask wild plants and trees if it's ok to take leaves for spells and such. I didn't feel comfortable just taking ingredients, and sometimes I felt like a weird vibe from certain trees so I started using it to talk to them. I also use to ask which direction I can find something and that's worked really well.

I’ve been a witch for a long time, but I’ve never been able to get into pendulum work. Thank you for this video because I finally get it! For the record the shop-bought pendulums I’ve bought or been gifted just don’t feel right, but I intuitively tied an old amethyst pendent to a length of black ribbon and it was so excited to be working with me again it was like working with a puppy that just wants to please you, lol. Moral of the story? You can teach an old witch new tricks 😄

I have had my pendulum vibrate and pull down like it’s heavier. Usually my yes/no is a spiral swing. Very awesome divination tool. I am still learning, but it’s intriguing for sure
I build deeper relashionships with my gems and pendulum by kissing them a few times after every time I make contact with them or use them as they use me, I also say thank you for being here and being here to help me and bring me joy.
I always say thank you several times to the spirit guides that choose to help me. And I always say Good-bye to my pendulum spirits, like when someone use a ouji. It is so important to be courteous.

Okay, I have a wild-ass pendulum story for ya. One that literally just happened:
I have a pendulum here that I made a couple of years ago, but never got around to using or testing.
It's made from an old lead crystal... fob?... that once hung as a pull for a ceiling fan.
It's a faceted teardrop shape, and the back/top where the ring for the chain went broke, leaving no hole to hang it by.
I used copper wire to fabricate a sort of bale so it could be hung again, and put it on the end of a leather thong. It's not particularly pretty, and my work with the wire is rough, to say the least.
...then promptly hung it up behind my oil candle that's always kept burning, and pretty much forgot about it.
Well, watching this vid, and the bit about the test, I decided to give this one a go.
Hanging it off my finger as Hearth Witch described, it hung dead-still... until I asked it if it could give me a swing.
Next thing I know, it's making circles, and waving back and forth like it was hung up on a ship's mast in the middle of a bad storm... while my hand didn't appear to be moving at all.
Then after about 30 45 second, it just stopped.
When I could pick my jaw up off the floor, I repeated the request to swing, and it once again started in with the same gyrations.
I kid you not, I'm absolutely not making any of this up, and am utterly astounded.
I guess I need to look into working more with pendulums, huh?

I would say if you have crystals that you enjoy working with and connect with, a crystal cage is always an option. I've done it before, as I cannot find a pendulum with the one crystal I most want one in; moldavite.
Such a good idea, crystal cages are wonderful for this.
I love moldovite pendulums, they're very very strong and not everyone likes them so they're pretty hard to find.

It helped me with an area I need to research. One of my ancestors didnt return from the first world war. He pointed me to his regiment, btn & his medal card. He wanted to be found and the family told his story. He was never put on the CWGC register because his body was never found

As it turns out she reads amazingly well and (unsurprisingly) has a lot of fiery energy. I just realized that I'm wearing a jade pendulum! I got this pendent and chain 6 years ago and I've been wearing it almost everyday since. It was such a fun process to find the pendant that I was drawn to and the perfect chain for it.

So... I went for a walk today. I found a cool piece of green glass, about an inch tall, roughly blade-shaped. For some reason, I felt like I needed to pick it up. I happened to stumble on this video and remembered my little glass shard, and just turned to look at this. I got myself some metal wire and lavender-coloured thread, and when I asked my little glass pieces would like to swing for me, it instantly started to do so... I suppose it was meant to be, You and me mah glass shard buddy. You and me.

My Aunt taught me to use pendulums, I was a skeptic that the hand influences too much but I’ve always found myself using them to as an extension of my own self. I also do this to escape the rationality of polar reasoning that bounds their use. I now go hiking with 2, made from arrow tips from my first “Robin Hood” that I carry to balance, keeping them still, one in each hand and I become the source.
Getting a pendulum in a shop is ideal and I would suggest to try all different types and keep an open mind because some do work better than others and it has nothing to do with how it looks but more how that vibration is in alignment with yours because you develop a relationship with your tools over time.

I do not come from a family of witches so I was not taught in how to work with energy. since I was a little girl though, I can remember I always felt way more at peace when I was surrounded by foliage than surrounded by people. I think this is because I am an empath. and when overrun with emotion and not understanding where these emotions come from it gets quite overwhelming and causes great anxiety. Please continue releasing new videos. and I don't know how the Covid crisis is in the UK at this point, but here in Florida in the US, the government has opened things up again and things are almost back to normal except for the fact that the numbers of people infected with covid-19 continually rise now that people are going back out and about. so even though it can get irksome to constantly have to be at home and away from people, for me is personally way worse to be stuck inside a hospital room because I'm sick. When I was in the hospital for 45 days with endocarditis and sepsis I about lost it. Anyways blessed be! Merry meet, merry part, and merry meet again 💚

I went to a shop today to look at some tarot cards and none of them caught my attention but as I was walking around the store, I came across the pendulums. I looked at every one and only one caught my eye but I decided I could make one. I left the shop and couldn’t stop thinking about that pendulum so I went back to get it. It was an instant connection!

I have been a practicing witch my whole life I am now 39 and it has been a journey, practicing on the different continents at diff stages of my life ❤️ in 2016 my nephew was shot and murdered. I was at home 🏡 and my pendulum was hanging on the wall it just started whipping itself so fast left to right , back and forth. I knew. I have many nephews but I knew it was him and my heart I just knew it was him and he was gone. He was saying goodbye that he loved me and He needed me to be there for his Mom , it was just too much for her poor heart ❤️. I was able to get the hard work done so she could mourn. But my hands 🙌🏼 ,no hands,no human was within six feet of the pendulum and it swung on its own.
I bought a pendulum online from Starry Night and it works tremendously. The first pendulum I ever used was my friend's and it worked tremendously. I was an atheist/absurdist, and it changed my perception of reality overnight. Now I'm on this crazy journey trying to understand what I've stumbled upon.
My pendulum (that I’ve used for some years now), is a necklace from my grandmother for my birthday I think it was. I don’t know why but I really connected with it, even though the person who gave it to me isn’t my favorite all the time. When I use pendulum boards, I’ve done it differently. Instead of using it like a pendulum normally is used, I tend to use mine more like a Oujia board where my pendulum is used to hovering over answers most of the time. That’s just how I do it.
It's so good to hear someone saying your pendulum can be pretty much anything! Mine is a crystal necklace charm on a metal necklace cord thing, with a ring that my partner got made for me in college as where I hold it. I wear them everywhere- I can't wear the ring on my hand anymore because I work in a kitchen- and have a system with it that gives me yes/no/maybe or unsure/yes but not straightforwardly/no but not straightforwardly. I used to ask it every time what the answer was, but it's always always always been the same, so I've done it less and less. It's never been wrong in my working memory, and it's genuinely one of my most prized possessions.

Would like to take the time to thank you for this video. Watch this video a while ago and shorty after had a dream in regards choosing a pendulum, the dream guided me to a clear quartz crystal. When I popped into my local store was able to locate mine a lot easier. The second one gave my hand and forearm a very clean feeling. Have used my pendulum a few times now and getting more tuned.

@@HightLink spirit boards are a valid form of magickal practice just like tarot, deity work, spells, etc. they have a horrible reputation, but the stigma is mostly unwarranted.
Great video as usual. Whenever I'm in need of a quick answer when out and about I find a key tied on string works well.
My method for answers is swinging back and forth towards me and the altar, is a yes. Almost like confirming the connection. Swinging left and right is no, and resembles barrier. I also use clockwise for maybe/not quite, an answer that is more nuanced than yes or no. Counter clockwise is i dont know, or confusion. So i might rephrase the question or move on to a different one. When I start I jist ask the spirit if they are willing to answer questions, and I always go by the same swings for answers. It works for me!

Informative! When you first asked which swings were "yes" and "no", I see the video was sped up. About how long did the swing go from beginning to end? Can a swing change mid-answer? Like from Yes to No?
Depends on the pendulum, each has it's own way.
And it can change, but best to ensure you know which is which before you start, it can take a while to get a singular answer.
Having agoraphobia going into stores are not an option for me so I ran through quite a few Pendulums before finding the one that worked for me. I was starting to get disheartened and kind of gave up then out of the blue months later one popped up on my FB feed...it was love at first sight! I bought it on the spot then instantly started doubting it would work (buyers remorse witch style) I'm happy to report it works wonderfully! So I would say they can be found on the net but be prepared to run through quite a few looking for "the one"

Yes, this video was long but it was well worth the time you invested making it. It answered a lot of my questions, gave me conversations, and boosted my confidence. I've had the feelings of making a pendulum spirit board for a very long time . I've even seen in a vision a board similar to your round on with all the writing but on a block of would. I now feel this is what my higher self was is tell me to make to use along side of my Tarot/Oracle Deck.

mu current pendulum (the only one i own) i definitely had a real connection with. It answered all of the questions like 'do you feel a connection to me?' and 'would you like to work consistently with me?' as yes and i'm so happy that it feels the same connection i do. it also is really pretty but that's not the point.
Agree, I believe it’s meant to answer/move the way we truly believe and feel. The energy it will move it towards, will answer it physically so we finally agree.
I often find my pendulum divination aren't accurate, time and time again it's given me a yes answer and it is wrong. It seems to only tell me what I want to hear. I just hold it over the palm of my opposite hand and it spins in a circle for yes and from side to side for no. I've never tried it with a board before though.
Maybe that's not the one for you then
I find if I focus on the answer I hope it will give, it may give that answer instead of the truthful one. I need to disconnect from the desired answer and go into the reading from a disconnected perspective to get more accurate readings.
You need to be calm and clear your mind when you don't think of the answer that you want

I just want to thank you for all the awesome information. I bought my first pendulum today. it was inside a show case there were others outside the case. But the one in the case called to me. After seeing your video I did what you suggested by asking the question of did it want to work with me. I got an instant yes from it. I was so happy to know that what I was feeling in the shop was true ...it called to me.
I personally really like a construction plumb bob (a Stanley 47-974) for no-nonsense direct answers. Maybe it says more about me though that that is what I connected with.
EDIT: and yes, a pound of brass is cumbersome, but my hands aren't steady enough to get good consistent answers from a light pendulum.
Don't remember the book except it was about pendulums, but the author touched on an individual they knew who used a large weight on a nine foot chain as a pendulum. The person had to stand on a ladder, but that was their tool of choice. The process getting to that point must have been interesting.
Anyway, if you think you can work with it and be comfortable, that's your business.
Most of the Second and Charles stores I’ve been to sell pendulums and crystal pendants.
And three weeks later, that’s exactly where I bought mine after years of going without one. I was just there to browse their books and looked over to my side for some reason, and this amethyst pendulum was just sitting there on a random shelf calling to me. It was the strangest feeling. I didn’t even feel the need for one when I entered the store, and as soon as I saw it, I felt compelled to buy it. It was an instant bond and I couldn’t leave without it. Amethyst isn’t my birthstone or anything but I’ve always felt a connection to that particular stone for some reason.
The whole experience just fell too perfectly into place to be a coincidence.

I've used them for direction finding, as in when looking for something. For mine, anti-clockwise is Left; clockwise is right; forward is a front to back swing; backward or behind is a left to right swing. Works pretty well.
I've always leaned toward the subconscious/micro-muscular movement also, but I can see other ways for them to work being valid as well if using them for communication with specific energies. Seems like it would depend on who one is asking - if I'm trying to figure something out myself, probably my subconscious; if I'm asking the Earth spirits, probably them, etc.
I have a pendulum that I haven't used yet. Thanks for all the helpful and practical information here! I sent a message to an artist friend of mine who works with wood and asked if she has the time to make a small pendulum board for me - a simple one - and what she would charge. It would be a meaningful board as well as an art piece, so I'm hoping she has the time.
this is great stuff!! just want to say that the pendulum also swings diagonally! my 'yes' is circular and 'no' is diagonal! Also they can differ depending on the pendulum you use - i.e. you may have a few pendulums and they all can have different 'yes' and 'no' swinging motions.

@@svetlanaivanova4497 Do you feel that "spirit" all the time? Do you feel it only when you are in your home/room or everywhere or maybe wherever you take the pendulum? You could try hiding it somewhere out of your home and even better somewhere far and see if you still get that feeling.
I used letter board. Once you relax feels like a trickle of hot air running down my hand. In the beginning I felt really drained but it told me to drink juice and it helped. I would not suggest that you use it during days when you feel low or tired and ill. I had demonic beings attaching to my old pendulum because if that. Saying it's Jesus and trying to make me afraid. I was fine but my cat was being terrorised by them. I have also used pendulum to point me into finding lost earnings etc in a room.

I saw a moonstone one. Thought it was labradorite. Knew I *should* get it based on my obsession with iridescent/blue/rainbow moonstone. So. I *did* get it, with a tiny in-depth circular spirit board. Wore it over night. Throughout the day. Kind of like the new dice superstition. And it already seems to be doing the things you said it would do. No burning questions/ immediate need to use it though, so, it’ll just be hanging out. ☮️

The shop tht I go to has set up a table full of pendulums and when I was looking at them (didn't touch the table) as I was standing there getting a feel for them the majority of them started moving on their own, it was neat, one that was closest to me was swinging in a circle. I already have a pendulum so I didn't get it as I was there on a budget to get other stuff. If it's still there next time I'm in ima revisit it n see if it wants to come home 😁

My hair is brown, and the first question I asked my pendulum was "Is my hair brown?". The pendulum went up and down and I asked it some more obvious questions. knew what was yes, no, and I dont wanna tell you. I asked it once again if my hair was brown and it said yes. I then asked it "Is my hair blond?" It was just still for a second and then started slowly going in a circle (I dont wanna tell you/idk) and after about 10 or so seconds it went to no. I just thought it was quite funny and wanted to share that story
This gave me an idea
What if you made a circle on your table of all the tarot cards, face down
And you asked your pendulum to connect to the cards as it would a board
So your pendulum could answer questions using tarot cards
And I know that sounds like a tarot reading with extra steps, but idk, it's a picture I got in my mind while watching this, and maybe there's a reason you'd do this

very educational video! but tis is just a tip I have, you don't have to use it but its a great thing! when you get a new pendulum, cleanse it! me personally, I always think that pendulums I have never gotten before, I cleanse it so no bad energy is connected to it, or even bad spirits, jokers, ect!

I've created pendulums from old sterling silver chains & rings that I don't wear at all ! I need to have my arm in the air,but I wrap the excess amount of chain around my index finger..( I'm left handed ,so I always holding the pendulum in my left hand..)

I heard that a pendulum “yes” is back and forth and a “no” for a pendulum is side to side. Now that’s what I was told. But I personally believe that where ever you put “yes and no” you will still have the same answer.
You can find a pendulum at any decent hardware store and its virtually identical in shape. Its called a plumbob and is used for stacking masonry in a straight vertical line or marking a laser line straight to the ground. They look decent as well and are usually made of polished brass. They are just a bit bigger than a witchy pendulum so maybe it would be better for using standing up or outdoors. I think some of them even screw open to reveal a little compartment for string, which u could put crystals or artifacts inside or something. I just realized this construction tool is almost exactly the same as a divination pendulum while listening to the video and Im probably gona go buy one soon now to test it out.

@@lauriekruczek When my mom worked as construction manager she had hydromancer on her team who used this kind of stuff for finding "suprise" water pipes (ones too old to be put on a plans but still working). So it can work for some people XD
