Me and my wife were in the basement when all power was lost. The basement window just to our left had been broken by a roofing company sometime before. So we could hear what was going on outside clearly. Specifically, we have four sets of wind chimes that cost around $1000 all totaled. With about a 25 mph wind they can be heard a block away. My wife suddenly asked if I heard something. I listened and realized that I in fact couldn't hear anything. Total silence. Other than the freight train, that's the worst omen there is. As the crow flies, our home was missed by maybe two blocks. Lucky.
This is very sad 😔 .This Tornadoes hitting harder and killing more people every year and then the question is why Americans don't build solid hauses with bricks and concrete ceiling like they build in Eastern Europe or Italy and Spain so this way hauses can resist to this kind of storm ?? I don't live in usa. I have a question are there bunkers? not all houses have? or this tragedy occurred at dawn and it came so fast that there was no time for the people to run into the bunkers
I live in Tennessee, it was very late in the night 2am. I live in an area where I wasn’t affected but people were still asleep when tornadoes came. And no we don’t just have bunkers for tornadoes that come with a house, we aren’t that rich. Most houses aren’t built with bunkers in them, though some older houses have basements.
