1.) Don't be a stormtrooper. Meaning write a character that we can care about. 2.) Suprise us. Write something surprising and not predictable. 3.) Have your characters undergo change and growth in your story.
Your video is a masterclass in storytelling brilliance. I was expecting some generic advice that I could find anywhere, but you surprised me with your deep understanding of the subject. The way you seamlessly weaved together key takeaways from 34 different books and managed to extract the essence of storytelling was awe-inspiring. 7
don't get me wrong, I used to read bunch of books, I love to read but reason that made me came to search and finally arrive on your video is because I realize that I use book to procrastinate and the feeling of being trapped in the tutorial hell is awful, but then when I was finished reading Wise confidence it sparks something within me, I'm called to action and start making, creating and actually doing the things needed to be done, so conclusion is reading isn't bad, reading is good but don't forget to apply the technique you learn from the book how is that, does it has all the 3 Big Ideas? xD
Does your book “the story telling method” help with selling life insurance and Medicare via face to face or over the phone (telesales), if so, does it work better for face to face or over the phone?
Hi Peter, it works for both, but storytelling is sure more effective face to face than over the phone. You can download the first chapter first in case you wanna see if it's for you: power-of-storytelling.com/book/
