After watching a lot of these videos, I have come to the conclusion that you must have been my inspiration to going into mallet percussion. I play marimba, vibes, xylophone, and I love it. And I hear them in a lot of your songs! So I guess 10 year old me was listening, because here I am in college doing mallets. So thank you for somehow being a huge inspiration in my life for doing music.
That's so awesome to hear! I've always felt more at home with the melodic percussion instruments than with a regular drum kit, so it's naturally shown up in a lot of my songs. It's pretty cool to know that it's inspired you as well!
it's cool how you mentioned trying to make the instruments sound playable by a human, i think it's pretty fitting that the night club would forgo that and have some sampled instruments like it's been made by a DJ
The Island Adventure Parties were some of my favourite parties on Club Penguin of all time. They are very nostalgic for me, and a big part of the nostalgia is the soundtracks. The soundtracks for these parties will always be some of my favourite soundtracks ever, so to get more of an insight to their creation and your thoughts and instructions while making these pieces is really cool!

Oh wow, I always thought that one song sounded like something from Monkey Island! My brother had gotten the HD remaster that was released about a year before that song, and I wasn't sure if my younger self was just making false connections.
thank you for making these videos. I never thought about the music when club penguin was still around, but watching these has made me realize just how integral the music was to my childhood. I remember going to club penguin and just leaving the game on to hear the music while I did homework and stuff (having to occasionally move the mouse because the game would log you out if you were idle for ten minutes. I am only now discovering years later that I still know everything by heart.

I don't know if you'll see this comment, but my best guess for the mystery song at the end would be as music for the EPF base. It almost sounds like a variation of the EPF theme, and I remember the PSA base being decorated for parties. Maybe it was a plan that never happened?

Did you compose the theme for the Puffle Party of 2009? I think it was in CP Game Day, so chances are that you made it. That one has totally got them rhythms, and I love it.
Just mute your phone whenever you're in the middle of a quiet place. Otherwise, you'll have blaring brass instruments hitting you every time someone calls.
Pins and player backgrounds were some of the easiest things to add, actually. For backgrounds, there was a simple square template with a shadowed penguin inside so the artist would know what areas would end up being hidden by the player card penguin. For the pins, a piece of art was made, and then added into a new version of a room with a "trigger" object so that it would react to a penguin standing there (the same trigger system that made you move into a new room or go into a game). Occasionally, finding a pin was a little more complex, but usually it was just that simple.
jungle crab reminds me a little bit of pokemon mystery dungeon!! it feels very natural, i suppose? which is always something i associate with the games' music.
This man is so naturally funny, it makes me leave feeling good and upbeat (like how Club Penguin used to make me feel, Rest in Peace perfect PC game) but then I remind myself on how unfunny I am. This is just wholesome laughs right here and I aspire to have this kind of balance for being insanely talented but not pushing yourself too far and the biggest take away I'm getting, don't take everything too seriously. Sadly, my half Capricorn self is shaking it's head saying that everything needs context and seriousness is the key to success, but at a specific point, you can't take something seriously when it's name sounds like Capsicum. I don't like capsicums.
I loved every single jungle/tropical party! The only party more nostalgic than this was the medieval party! Jungle Snake sounds cool, but it would have broken the atmosphere. Maybe if it was for an EPF mission disguised as a party, like the last ones were, it would have made more sense.

Jungle dance reminds me a lot of the music from the first Crash Bandicoot game. Crash 1 has a very jungle sounding OST.
