I just finished mine….a foam roller on the big flat areas of the frame eliminates brush strokes, also slightly thinning the paint for the last coat works beautifully too. Nice job on yours!
Nice work brotha. Just power washed my frame yesterday. Going to be cleaning it up with some product and in a few days brushing the paint on . Thankyou for you video.
@Ginger Auto I ended up using oven cleaner and power washing it 3 times. Went to harbor freight bought a 70 dollar spray gun and used rustoleum. Hell yeah it was a good buy!
Did sandblast and Eastwood product to paint it. First layer I did by brush and for second coat I went to harbor freight and bought cheapest spray gun. What a difference. I wish I’ve been using gloves 😂 That stuff sticks pretty good, even to skin😂😂😂
i had no luck with Eastwoods rust encapsulator in the rust / salt belt here in PA 2yrs and rust was back. the next time i used rust bullets and it has been 11yrs and its just starting to pop rust again. was not the platinum rust encapsulator i used it was the green stuff there was no platinum. thanks for sharing
Luckily here in California I don’t have to worry about the rust and salt. I don’t really think the encapsulator is a bad product. I just wished I would have sprayed it on instead of brushing it. Only time will tell how it holds up.
I prefer the look of the light grey color over the Black on frames.. Lighter reflects more light and helps see everything and helps show how dirty it is.. People always say "White shows dirt fast" GOOD!! I want to know quickly how dirty it is and wash it asap, instead of waiting till its obviously really dirty and had time to stay on longer eating away at frame and clear coat.

I wish I would have just sprayed mine on. Would have been a lot easier to make it look good. Oh well. At least you can’t see the frame haha

Hey good luck with yours! If I did it again I would roll it and even better spray it. It is really hard to not leave brush marks.

Well I appreciate you sharing your video,I think it looks great that was a lot of work 👍👍💪
I just wish I would have sprayed it! But it’s just the frame so I’m not that worried about it.
@@gingerauto I understand but my opinion it looks great!! 👍👍

I can see how the light color would make it easy to see leaks!
You'd think the sandblasting would have cleaned it up better. You got a lot of gunk off of it. It looks great.
I only sandblasted them hard to get to places. I takes a lot of sand haha
I think it looks really good...as you say it's not a show truck.
It’s not terrible. And everything is covered so it will do it’s job of protecting everything.
I had the same results with kbs rust blast you could see the brush strokes, it works great though
Yeah if I was to do it again I would spray it. But it’s just the frame! Not to worried about it.
How much cans of paint did you use and what's the grey paint brand
Phew im an early bird on this one 😁😅
I recommend not too use out of the can
Yup. I learned that. I wish I would have sprayed it.
Looks fine its all gonna get dirty anyways.
That’s my thoughts as well!
