LOVE Bobby, and no one will ever sing like him; however, there is now another young singer whose range and beautiful, unique voice may very well outreach any male singer, and that is Dimash. People have a tendency these days to think there are no real extraordinary vocalists anymore, but if you take the time to really look for them, they ARE there, and Dimash may very well be the best there is.

Bobby Hatfield is considered the greatest singer of all time...He could hit any note and would never strain to reach them...He's actually unbelievable and was meant to sing this classic.
Tommy H No no, there was a competition. He won. Bill and Ted used their phone booth to gather everyone. Even Freddie Mercury cried when Bobby sang. Luciano Pavarotti just walked out because he couldn’t compete. Zack Golthag from Earth 2.6 shut both his mouths. It was amazing. My great great granddaughter told me about it 30 years from now.
@Tommy H Oh, there is! Bobby Hatfield is great, but he is only the second greatest singer of all time. Clearly the greatest ever is....Shane. No falsetto. Pure tenor. Vocal teachers have been amazed at the range of notes Hatfield hit in that single song. Oh...did I say no autotune. Yes. No autotune. The man was amazing. Another amazing song in this realm would be Roy Orbison's "Crying" from the original single 1961 release. Masterful. Great reaction Mr. Video -- always enjoyable.
When I was 12 I could sing this song pitch perfect...by the time I was 15 i had to jump falcetto, but I could drop the low parts an octave and make it a fun jump back to falcetto. Now I'm 31 and it would take a miracle to get my voice back up in that register.
There were 20 different notes sung by Bobby in this performance ending with G5 in head voice with resonance and vibrato. In his Shindig live performance earlier that year, Bobby sang up to A5, couple of notes short of the whistle register. On his 1971 solo southern rock/blues album, Messin' in Muscle Shoals, Bobby hits several whistle notes including E6. He sings soprano range comfortably.

You got it right Beth, I almost fell off the couch, when I first saw this video(sexiest move of all and I’ll bet he didn’t remember doing it because of his nerves, that night)This is and has been my favorite song of all time. I am a singer myself, so I know music and there is no one else who ever had, or should sing “Unchained Melody”, like Bobby Hatfield, he owns it, hands down!
Yes This performance was on the Andy Williams Show and Bobby tells that to Andy in the segment introducing Unchained Melody. There is some hilarious footage right afterwards with the three doing What'd I Say. Bobby Hatfield must have been relieved after solo because the humor and joy of his personality just shines through. And his vocals of course! th-cam.com/video/KGClv9GKYmo/w-d-xo.html
This is Bobby Hatfield the other "brother" is Bill Medley. They used to sing most things together, but sometimes if one of them heard a song they loved they would do it solo. Well they both wanted to do this song so they flipped a coin. Bobby said he was really nervous because his parents were in the audience along with Bill. This has been called the best live pop performance ever. Bobby sadly died many years ago. Bill is still singing, sometimes with his daughter. Bill said in an interview once that they got their name when they were performing near a marine base in Calif. A black marine in the audience after a song yelled out "that was righteous brothers", and after the show they were meeting audience members and signing autographs etc and that same marine waited to meet them and when he was walking up to them said Hey righteous brothers. They liked it and kept it. Keep up the reacts man. Tons of great music back in the day.
They were originally called "The Paramours". While play near a Marine Base, Black Marines would shout out, "That's Righteous!" and would tell them, You are Righteous, Brother .... hence they changed their name.
No one then, and no one today can sing this song like Bobby Hatfield of the 'Righteous Brothers' did. In a live television performance on the Andy Williams show back in (1965). His rendition of 'Unchained Melody' has made his version the quintessential version of them all. Unchained Melody was written for a prison movie titled 'Unchained' (1955). It was composed by Alex North (1910-1991) and lyrics by Hy Zaret (1907-2007). Together their greatest work has been sung by artist from around the world since 1955. Making it one of the most recorded songs in music history. The rest as they say is history...
The version sung in the film is a completely different mood. It’s so sad. The guy singing really brings out all of the pain and longing behind the words. Men in prison who have no idea if anyone is waiting for them if/when they are freed.
Bobby was the greatest singer of all time. I was fortunate to have the opportunity see him sing this on the Andy Williams show when I was 15 years old. I fell in love with him and I will never forget his beautiful voice! RIP Bobby! ❤❤❤
I'm so glad you discovered another jewel in the whole "blue-eyed soul" library. Your reaction was priceless. There's a lot more where that came from. Artists like Michael McDonald, Bobby Caldwell("What You Won't Do For Love"), Hall and Oates, and even Ambrosia are some of the stops you need to experience on that rabbit hole. Given these crazy times, I can only offer you love, peace and further investigation on this journey. I think you''ll love it. This is coming from an old white man. Not that race matters, but lots of love from my family to yours.
After a two year stint in Vietnam,my husband was sent to Las Vegas. He used to sit in clubs and listen to the Righteous Brothers…show after show. As long as they kept buying drinks they could be there all night…and they did! He LOVED these guys!
You are one of a kind reactor, love that song sung by him alone which no other artist can duplicate, you were great also lol thanks keep it up brother.
Every time I watch one of your reactions, I am hugely entertained, and my mood vastly improves. And when the video is over, there's a huge smile on my face!
I love this song! It does bring back beautiful memories of dancing with my Grandpa Fred. He had given me love for earlier music generations as young child in early 1970s.
Bill Medley was in the audience, as was Bobby Hatfield's mother, that was why he smiled so big when he was done singing, he knew that he nailed it! Great reaction again today! You are the best reactor I've found!
This was my grandparent's song. He met her after WW2. He went back to finish highschool after the war and met her there. He always called her his "little bird" because she was so small. This song always makes me think of them
Every person I've seen do a reaction of them have assumed they were brothers because of their name. I heard that when they were first starting, they had gotten a job to play at a small out of the way club. It was a place frequented by only black people. So when they went out to sing, they were laughed at and ridiculed. And then they started singing. The laughter stopped and quite a few mouths dropped open in surprise. After they finished, they heard one of the men say, "man, those brothers are righteous." Hence, the name, Righteous Brothers. Tommy Hatfield's vocal range is amazing. I read an interview he did where he said he was very nervous because his mother was in the audience. All I could think was, that's how he sings when he's nervous!
@@Bareege Hi. Thank you for politely bringing that name mistake to my attention. Last week, I commented on the Elvis Presley song, In The Ghetto, I said Kris Kristofferson wrote it, even though I knew it was written by Mac Davis. Anyway, a couple of people were merciless. So thank you. I can only say, I have something similar to pregnancy brain. I have chemo brain. LOL. Stay safe and God bless!!
His brother sat in a corner because he said he thought it would flop but it became such a hit. And this was all him no voice dubbing crap, no ear piece just raw talent one of best songs ever. Back then walk I any bar and this was coming out of a juke box.. and not a girl was sitting if a guy couldn't get a girl to dance to this he had major issues or to dang drunk to stand.
Bill Medley was clever enough to know he couldn't improve on perfection, this is the song that immortalised Bobby Hatfield. Nobody has sung it better than that.
You are adorable. Bobby never fails to knock the socks off everyone who hears this. This duo fit the dub 'blue eyed soul' in every thing they did. Check them out douing 'You'll never walk alone' or Soul and Inspiration.
I had never seen what the Righteous Brothers looked like until now but I had heard their voices. I always legitimately thought they were a classic 50's African-American band because their voices had that very essence of bands with African-American leads and members. Bands with that gorgeous smoothness of soul, harmony, and melody they are SO known and loved for. Bands like the Five Satins, Ben E. King, and many many more! Goes to show that you can learn something new everyday!
Great review you are funny. The Righteous Brothers is where the phase Blue Eyed Soul came from. It’s a shame Bobby Hatfield (this one) passed away but Bill Medley is still alive
@@MrGetoDac opinions are like assholes and everybody's got one, they are both great and I know the righteous brothers is the original but elvis put more passion and love into it
@@mandyb2261 yes it's your opinion but you have to be realistic not just an Elvis fangirl and all you see and hear is Elvis. My opinion is that Bobby put more passion and love. It's not about who is the original is who sings the best this song. Like I said, with all respect to Elvis, at this song is far far away from this version
Patrick Swayze. Houston, Tx. boy. He learned to dance at his Mother's dance studio there and the movie (Dirty Dancing) made him a star. People Magazine named him The Sexiest Man Alive in 1991. Got married moved to LA but sadly died of Pancreatic Cancer in 2009. Nice guy.
After hearing and seeing this I will think of no one but Bobby Hatfield when this plays. Love Patrick Swayze, but Bobby Hatfield took this performance to another level . Mesmerizing. Singing like an angel- an angel with soul. RIP
If you want to hear both "brothers" put some more soul into a song, check out Soul and Inspiration. Went to #1 for 3 straight weeks in 1966. I mean, if you want more blue-eyed soul, then you need Soul and Inspiration, right?
@@annieheathman3391 And don't forget the TV show Cheers. The long-standing joke was that if you wanted to get Rebecca (played by Kirstie Alley) in bed, all you had to do was play Loving Feeling and she melted. In fact, both Bill Medley and Bobby Hatfield made separate cameos on the show.

My late uncle used to call this song "a guaranteed panty dropper" RIP Bobby Hatfield... and Uncle Bernie.
One of the most beautiful songs ever written.
When he bites his lower lip at the end.....it’s all over at that point!
Katherine Valadez FACTS!!
His Mom was in the audience. I think the lip bite is so cute. Like it was for her.
Katherine Valadez I’m a singer too. And my shower and car hate me for it.
I know !!!! Sweet love right there!!
He had a soothing voice and he was gorgeous
I'm about to have Bobby Hatfield's virtual baby.
Lol
Lol 😂 greetings from London 🇬🇧
@@archez8363 Hi from across the pond!
🤣👶🏻
He had a mirror in his pocket ... I could see myself in his pants ...
Your amazing ability to be so open minded always cheers up my soul. I enjoy your energy and uploads
The story goes they got their name in 1962 when an African-American Marine shouted out "That was righteous, brothers" at the end of a show.
One of the greatest reactions yet 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Still makes the hair on my neck stand up when I hear this song! Thank you. Love your channel!
Ewwww Stacey u have hair on your neck???? 😂😊
They were originally called "The Paramours". While play near a Marine Base, Black Marines would shout out, "That's Righteous!" and would tell them, You are Righteous, Brother .... hence they changed their name.
Dope 🔥
Bobby Hatfield really shows his class with this song. Bobby owes this song. Thank you for this gift. R.I.P.
Love this song play it at least once a day perfection R.I.P. Bobby
No one was born, who has managed to give excellence to this song as Bobby did. The best ; and that makes this song a call to musical excellence...
Thank you for including Bobby Caldwell's great voice.
Steve Winwood in the Spencer Davis Group.
After a two year stint in Vietnam,my husband was sent to Las Vegas. He used to sit in clubs and listen to the Righteous Brothers…show after show. As long as they kept buying drinks they could be there all night…and they did! He LOVED these guys!
You are one of a kind reactor, love that song sung by him alone which no other artist can duplicate, you were great also lol thanks keep it up brother.
part about the panties going back to the dresser by themselves had me in stitches! I`ve so much fun watching your reactions! keep `em coming!
Every time I watch one of your reactions, I am hugely entertained, and my mood vastly improves. And when the video is over, there's a huge smile on my face!
That’s my aim🙂
Beautiful, one of a kind voice!!
Bobby is still "taking our women" even after death XD
I was 15 when I heard this in Ghost. I still get emotional. Freakin Swayze and the Righteous Brothers.
I love how music is colourblind , like I can like these guys just as much as bb king or hendrix
If I’m not mistaken, Bobby was sick, like feverish and all. He went thru with the performance because his mom was there.
@@nancyanne1402 Hey Nancy, I hadn't heard that part, so thank you for filling me in, I can add that point next time. Nice reply!
Yep, he had a cold. Can you imagine what he would have sounded if he hadn't been I'll?!!
Tommy Hatfield? Anyway, good story
Two very different voices. Outstanding individually. Together, harmonizing off the charts.
Bobby Hatfield was simply amazing.
LOVED this reaction!
young men....pay attention, you begin to sing to your lady songs like this and a million troubles are goin' away! Perhaps the greatest love song ever!
Bobby Hatfield Is a Tough Act To Follow
I'd say impossible
I LOVE your reactions. This is my parent's song for each other. Going on 55 years of marriage.
It was called blue eyed soul.... just incredible isn't it?
Your reactions are priceless
Great review you are funny. The Righteous Brothers is where the phase Blue Eyed Soul came from. It’s a shame Bobby Hatfield (this one) passed away but Bill Medley is still alive
#1 Love song for Decades all over the world
Spectacular reaction! Loved the song and your work!!!!!!
Talent is born with!!! Not made up in a recording studio with auto tune!!!!
Best version. Better than Elvis version. And so effortless
I think they are both equal but in my opinion Elvis was more powerful
Evils siad he wished he had a vocal like hime
@@mandyb2261 nice joke, Elvis not even close to this version. Elvis more powerful? what do you smoke? hahahaha
One of my favorites 😍
I can't hear this and not think of Patrick Swayze.
Nice guy.
Can't blame the thought for occurring,it'll happen...it's Swayze
not to mention that he can also sing ( she's like a wind)
After hearing and seeing this I will think of no one but Bobby Hatfield when this plays. Love Patrick Swayze, but Bobby Hatfield took this performance to another level . Mesmerizing. Singing like an angel- an angel with soul. RIP
I can't hear this without anxiously waiting for that cute little lip bite at the end ... He knows he nailed it !!!
Thank you for helping to keep bobbies spirits alive
If you want to hear both "brothers" put some more soul into a song, check out Soul and Inspiration. Went to #1 for 3 straight weeks in 1966. I mean, if you want more blue-eyed soul, then you need Soul and Inspiration, right?
Second that!
Also, "You've Lost That Loving Feeling ". This song was featured in "Top Gun"
Love your reaction and personality🥰
