    • @OurLifeThai
      @OurLifeThai  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey Phyllis
      I don't mind if people watch a video and decide that for whatever reason it deserves a dislike.
      I do however think that it's pretty poor form when someone clicks on dislike without even watching.
      The internet can be a very strange place. haha
      Take care

    Hi, thanks for the video. For many tourist that i have spoken to in Thailand airport on the departure and i, we won't be visiting floating market ever again because we will be alarming others the cost involves are very costly. For a 2 hr cruise in a wrecking boat around the muddy river cost aud$69 per person, so for a family of 4, boat fare alone cost around aud$280, plus around aud$90 taxi fare from BKK, that just the basic price for a 2 hrs activity. This boat ride fare is SOOOO unreasonable, i wouldn't go again for half the price. Judge it yourself.

    New to your channel. Like how you capture Thai life. So much more to Thailand than Walking street girls. Look forward to viewing more of your videos. Just an observation, her English is better than your Thai. How difficult is the language to learn? Your fortunate to have your own personal tutor. Cheers

      Because the language is tonal, so many words sound the same to me.
      I'm getting there, but very slowly.

    I would love to learn what is in a mild sauce. The crispy pork looks very moist and tasty. I would love to know how that's made and what's in the coating that's on the pork. It's amazing how those boats even maneuver at all! Don't think I'd like to spend any time in that water! To their credit, I don't hear any yelling or shouting. Totally amazing. Thanks for the trip. I can sit here in bug free, in cool air conditioning and enjoy it all while I sip my coffee. This granny is over 80 and has "roughed it" in many places. Those days are over and I don't regret any of it. :-) Thanks for sharing the whole experience with us all.

      Phyllis, when Ta first ordered the crispy pork she was told that they were out of red sauce and only had tao chiao which is fermented soy bean sauce. It is usually made with soy bean paste, ginger, chilli, garlic, dark soy sauce, palm sugar, vinegar and thin soy sauce

    Hi Brad and Tai. Another Great Interesting Video. Read all about Floating Markets in Thailand when I was a school kid in Sri Lanka. Interesting how people make a living from the Boat and Water. Same as in Sri Lanka. You got to pay to use the Toilets.mmmm Pork and Rice is cheaper than a pork dish on its own. Well they got to make a living.

    Thailand is a very cheap and affordable country for westerners to visit, so if I end up paying a little more than the locals it matters not one bit, I love Thailand and find the Thai people very welcoming and lovely, I do not find Thai people racist.....at least none I've ever met in the time I've spent there, I will live there one day in the near future as I now have a wonderful Thai partner, we joke about the prices and don't take it personal at all, it's a case of either visit Thailand or don't visit Thailand, tis that simple, I love Thailand, Thank you Brad and Ta I find your video's both informative and entertaining, you two are an awesome couple, keep the video's rolling mate.

    Hey . Same as in Sri Lanka. Local people pay less. Foreigners pay more. In 2016 when my Step Daughter went with me to Sri Lanka. I did hire a glass bottom Boat to see the fish. The owner of the boat double the hire charge the moment he saw my step daughter. He said is the white lady going with me. I said iam going to leave her by shore. They love to rip off. In UK. All of us we pay the same amount.

    My partner and I visited this floating market back in 2014, the way they over charge foreign tourists is past insulting, it’s so blatant it’s humiliating. It’s nothing more than a very slickly run tourist ripoff, with little in return.
    Bangkok is a wonderful and interesting place, and I enjoy being a regular visitor, but there is no sense in walking around with rose tinted glasses, every country has similar tourist traps, and this is one that people should be aware of.
