Other players are like super solid boxers with a good and stable stance, hard and heavy punches where MBL is this wierd kung fu master with bushy eyebrows and a long beard who just sweeps your feet out from underneath you, throws you off balance and then hits you with a flurry of punches and kicks that you never even saw coming. God I love watching this dude so much. He is an artist.

How about just being polite and not writing about the video's results at the top of the comment? Sometimes you just wanna see people's reactions to the video or sometimes you just wanna scroll down to give the video a like and someone comments "congrats to MbL!!" and you can't help but see it.

Jokes aside though, I see your point enough to not write those kind of comments myself. And, it's out of politeness, so it's not like I don't get that point at all. BUT!!!

BUT I still find it just incredibly stupid to cry about this. I don't go into the comments for something I don't want to be spoiled because I know, it's going to get spoiled. It's just such a simple little thing to do. These people aren't trying to be rude, they're not trying to spoil it for everyone, they just watched the video and then feel incredibly happy and wants to write a little congratulation.
Sure, I don't do it, and sure, you don't do it. But 'oIt's not the end of the world that some people do, because, they're only spoiling the results to dimwits dumb enough to read the comments of a tournament video they didn't even see yet.

Mbl - Forward house to keep from becoming housed strat: CONFRIMED! T90 - I can't believe MBL wasn't invited to the tourney. I mean these MBL qualifiers are awesome, but without this threat of chaos, the main event would be seriously lacking. I think his gameplay in these qualifiers may be a big revenge for not being invited.
When Tristan says "there were nerves for MBL" I always hear "nerfs" as in someone tied one of his hands behind his back or unbound all of his hotkeys so other people have a chance xD.

I'm new to AoE2 content after loving the game growing up. MBL is easily my favorite player. Just immensely interesting games. Amazing sweep here. You could just see him wear Ganji down and defeat him mentally with each crazy push

Mass elite longboats might be able to stand up to Thirisadai in post-Imp, if both are massed, but Thirisadai have the major bonus of not needing any unit upgrades. This avoids ever having to ever get the Galleon upgrade, as Thirisadai are just better, being able to win with equal resources. The Galleon upgrade is pretty expensive and annoyingly slow, so this is a major win.
That means you get much more tempo with Thirisadai, which also help get value with Lanchester's laws,
Elite longboat is a pretty expensive and slow upgrade too.
Longboats, like galleons, also get countered by mass demolition ships (or even fire ships if they are not massed) suddenly ungarrisoning as they need to stick together to do anything. And they can be countered by Cannon Galleons and the occasional bombard cannon attacking for area of effect damage.
Overall, the Vikings are pretty bad in the late game on water for a water 🌊 civ. Ganji just seems to be inexperienced on tournament water maps.
You don't have resources in early imp to spam Thirisidai and you will just die before you can get good number of them if you don't play Galleon first.
THirisidai are opposite of getting tempo, you're giving away the initiative to your opponent if you go Thirisidai first. You're absolutely destroyed by Lanchester's law.
Longboats and Galleons don't get countered by demos, THEY counter demos. It doesn't matter if they clump up because they have ~10 range to work with. Likewise Cannon Galleons or Bombard Cannons aren't counters either. They only work as a supplementary unit if there's a big army in front of them. They get quickly sniped by Galleons/Longboats the moment gap can be closed in.
Overall you have no idea about how this game works. It's mindboggling how you managed to be dead wrong in every single sentence you typed.
@@Progeusz Thirisidai are worth more than 2 Galleons despite costing the same.
Their lack of needing the Galleon upgrade and faster conversion of resources to units means they are really good for tempo. The Galleon upgrade costs 5.96 times as much as a Galleon. That means by making Thirisidai you are easily up 6 Galleons worth of stuff than an opponent making Galleons, before accounting for the time of the upgrade and 3 Thirisidai being better than 6 Galleons.
Elite Cannon Galleons can easily be protected by Galleons/unique unit substitutes, Fast Fire Ships in the early Imperial Age or Castles 🏰🏯. They have a higher damage output versus 1 ship than than Galleon (6/unit reload time over 5/unit reload time), before taking into account their area of effect damage.
The range of Longboats and Galleons does nothing when the mass of demolition ships ungarrison close to them. Demolition ships move faster than Longboats and Galleons, so they cannot be kited before the mass connects, without using their full range as a buffer. It is also virtually impossible for the opponent to react in time. And the ships cannot attack on their reload time if they just attacked something else.
Longboats and demolition ships cost the exact same total resources when factoring in the Vikings civ bonus in Imperial. Demolition ships actually cost less than Viking Elite Longboats with Shipwright.
This means Demolition ships connecting has incredible value. They only need to hit 2 units to be worth it and can easily hit much, much more.
Longboats should be able to carry berserks. Am I tripping or could they carry units in AoK?
