Putting crossbow dagger in S tier is a crime, it’s B tier in GvG the spin to win does no impact at all unless you have multiple crossbows spinning, in this meta of shields and high HP crossbow dagger lacks a lot due to low survivavibility. Coming from main crossbow dagger full gear and leader of a deathsquad crossbow daggers.
@@SplitPushLoL I just said that solo xbow is bad that’s why I have a deathsquad xbow party which is good. Sometimes you just have to read . You proved my point

Thanks again for the content. Just a heads up, your Staff/Spear Rang/Mag eva questlog has purple runes in the weapons, so the stat allocation isn't obtainable currently.
relative to pvp what stun trinket are you currently using, PPS or one of the newer ones and if so what color? blue makes more sense but idk what its like at high mmr @SolAshur
blue trinket is my favorite because it counters stunlock combos like greatsword even though it doesn't cc break the knockdown, it will heal you and prevent you from dieing before their combo ends. It's also really nice to recover from sleep bombers
If your running dagger, don’t waste your time with melee evasion, you can’t get to a high enough threshold… max your magic/range and try to stealth/roll/purify out of melee attacks.
I prefer melee evasion because without it, you just get curb stomped by greatsword users. Typically with the higher hp of melee evasion sets, you can survive more against magic range users and still 1 combo them. However, the magic range set does more dmg, and has a higher skill ceiling. If you want to do large scale, you have to have a magic range set.
Im finding alot of success as Bow/xbow in large scale. Getting many many kills. Having 1500 hit, 15k hp, a spin, a snare, a stun, a flashwave.....Im incredibly powerful in the zerg. Definitely under rated for your average player. If you get isolated vs numbers you die....but so does most everyone else. I feel far more useful as Bow/xbow than i wver did as xbow/dagger.
I dont think so really. I main the xbow most of the time due to its fire rate, I have 59% atk speed, we just had siege and I went 72-21 so pretty solid K/D. With so much pew pew, its easy to hop from target to target picking off people. The stuns and all the mobility make you really hard to pin down and then having the ability to spin2win on cap points or when the zerg comes in just makes it such a nice overall build for large scale PvP.
amazing in a large scale because it's pure dps, but has zero potential to win unless you gearcheck someone in a 1v1. In small scale, again it's largely based on matchup and without melee evasion you are getting smacked around like a sandbag.
@@MillionXBL Pretty standard Resistance/Harvester. Aelon bow + ranged runes and pvp hit food will push you over 1500. 1300 should be pretty easy to sit at with low runes and no food. @@gs7605 I agree. Imo (as an SnS / GS main) it is the scariest ST ranged class. I haven't seen many staff / spear players, so maybe it is better. Wand / Dagger is also pretty slept on rn with runes, there is a guy in our alliance constantly posting 1vX clips as w/d. I don't think any other classes are consistently 1v6ing parties like that these days.
@@gs7605 It was alot better when 90% of the server wasn't running magic evasion is the point I was trying to make. Yes, you can still get massive kills on opponents who don't know when to reset the fight, and who don't have stealth. CC is more reliable than pure dps and staff lacks cc. It also lacks the build diversity that other weapons have such as longbow or greatsword. In terms of nuking small clumps, spear is just better because the targets that are nukeable typically don't have high melee evasion. Spear just does it's role better so staff deserves a lower tier than it did pre 1.11 patch
You dont have enough hit if youre having trouble with evasion players as staff dagger. I have 1059 hit and with high focus its over 1500 hit. Add 100 food buff and youre over 1600 hit. Staff dagger still hits like a truck just fine. 7 out of top 20 kills on our server are staff daggers.
That's about the same as my setup, though I'm thinking of raising the hit and dropping my evasions. it's good, but it's not better than spear dagger. I'm sure if those players swapped over to spear they would out frag that staff dagger any day. The only problem is that currently, people have not seen the true potential of spear because they are still learning the class. There are enough staff guides out there, ones I've created myself, and the community has created. This bring the average level of a staff user higher than the average spear user. I'm telling you now though, spear has a much higher skill ceiling.

Ill be back in America in jan on my setup but i'd say for soloque, gs dagger is better than spear dagger in MOST situations. However, in the situations the spear is better, it far outshines the greatsword. Greatsword is good for taking out a single target. spear is good for applying pressure to the entire team while still having decent single target burst.
Nice video but I disagree with your Great Sword Spear opinion. I would put it at A tier for the lowest. It's a monster in 3V3 and Arena. You put crossbow dagger s tier but gs spear b tier lol. I think you haven't really seen how strong it is yet. I posted a clip with the gs spear in siege. I can bomb without a wand. no sleep needed lol. I'm sure you have many reasons why you can back up your take on it and me too so we will agree to disagree lol.
@wickedcyborg i saw your clip and I respect it, but you could've did that on any combination of spear. The greatsword doesn't add much value to bombing on spear. Were you to have dagger you could bomb stealth away and reset. Same with small scale, you can simply just reset the fight and engage at your own timing. With two dps weapons you have much less survivability without depending on your team .
Greatsword anything can go crazy. Spear anything, can go crazy. It's about the higher skill ceiling that each of those weapons have when paired with a dagger versus being paired together.

Spear/bow in small scale is played like a brawler with heal skills and passive shield from bow. Its okay and its fun coz ppl focus you but you kinda want that coz they come to you on their own so you can use your spear combos easily
you are probably the 1% that plays it correctly. Remember, most players follow maxroll and youtube guides and there is a lack of information about this class out there. Therefore, most people end up playing it incorrectly.
How do you play GS/Bow? I've been recently trying it out, but don't know the right defense build. Currently, I have magic/ranged endurance. What do you build?
flash wave is only broken in large scale. It's not great in small scale. A good xbow dagger has about Half the TTK compared to a longbow in small scale. The tier list is not just based on large scale alone.
@@SolAshur anyway the important events in TnL are mostly large scale so I think Bow/Dagg is still S Tier, I see comments of some xbow/dagg user do not agree that they deserve S tier.

I've seen some monsters of sns longbow in KR. Sadly, I've seen zero good ones on NA East. I know it has some potential, but it doesn't seem like it's anywhere close to the meta in north Americans hands.
thing is magic dagger is so dam easy to play around , their biggest damage is the most obvious thing to dodge mitigating 80% of their damage , still s tier for gvg tho .
Exactly my point, unless you catch someone without their cooldowns, most people will just stealth and reset the fight. In order to have max dmg and hit you have to go magic range meaning you can be one comboed by any melee class. Now with the introduction of spear, that means anything class that can really one combo you. It's a bit more rough in the meta for a staff dagger. In large scale i'd much rather play staff/spear or longbow anything than staff/dagger because the spear provides so much more cleave and aoe to the kit. The dagger provides survivability but it doesn't matter unless you are bombing. Your goal is to aoe and cleave, and the dagger doesn't provide any true dps skills to the rotation playing at range.
well, there's no other class that can do what xbow does and this is my main reasoning for putting it into S tier. It has no replacement. Yes, longbow can spam flashwave from the front and kill with the right positioning. But a xbow that followsup on a flash wave or followup on a sleep bomb and completely destroy the back/mid line of a zerg. There's no other class that's going in and doing this. Although, spear can compete it is not a replacement for xbow backline dives.
