You’re being an absolute twat all video for no reason, no nobody wants “this type of content”… The descriptions in this game a horrendous there’s no reason for anyone to be upset at a mechanical misunderstanding and you’re literally just saying the same thing over and over.
Been messing with your build and a few others. I really like the spear and your take on it, keep up the great videos and builds. We appreciate all the work you put in so we don't have to XD
another big thing for burst is the fact that with expand conditions you can go shadow strike into brutal fury right away, killing people instantly in arena pvp with poison and umbral. ive been using the simple combo of javelin, shadow strike, ankle strike (= passive gives +800crit chance for next skill after 3 skill dmg) into 3 times brutal to melt everyone.

How does the thunder spirit off a brutal strike like that feel in its aoe? I know the explosive and fire javelin are easier to proc and use for the more medium and large scale, but I've been curious what burst looks like when relying on the dagger skills for the aoe
@Alex-gn6ii burst isnt really for aoe
@@Alex-gn6ii it means you lose 2 procs on the guy your bursting, and you have to take thunderclouds, so its an investment and losing significant single target dps - but i havent tested it.

No one is calculating that Ignite explodes every 10 Stacks and deal 460% Damage in 3m range AOE + the Damage-over-time (DOT), which is hard to calculate

@@FRESHY_GG still more versatile than Burst. The DOT, Explode & AOE alone will make up for it. Burst build is good if you have a bow user on the team though so we have super short cooldowns

btw the 5 points conditional hit for brutal fury is not bugged. it just means that you can use the same 3x brutal fury on a CC-ed target without having to have 5 burst stack.

No Javelin Inferno in a boss fight , no explosive fury in a boss fight , people are auto hitting cause they don’t have mana , give the party the javelin brand debuff, in melee range the cast time is very fast , go brutal fury and practice the rotation on a dummy.
Skill damage is calculated off of weapon damage and when you use the skill you switch to that weapon so it does switch to that damage for the calculation
The problem with Aragon is that he was the main content creator for Neverwinter (DAD MMo) he keep the same style of videos for throne and liberty and Neverwinter. he just jump to follow the algorithm. ohhh big damage number it means it’s good lols . Even in his own community people don’t agree with all he says
so i'm not sure if you have any insights on this, as its spear/gs and not dagger. But I have a single target rotation for bosses that has brutal fury and all the stuff you mentioned in it, and I don't know if this is also an issue with dagger, but with GS there is some... downtime.. in the rotation. as in there seems to be some time where I don't have anything off cooldown and I can only stand there and auto attack. Its not because I'm out of mana, I don't actually have much mana issue, but literally all my skills are on cooldown. Its only maybe 2-3 seconds at a time, every few minutes that this happens, but in dimensional trials, especially as the fights get longer in higher levels, I feel like it adds up a LOT to quite a bit of time where I'm just not doing DPS. Now in some fights, having to move for mechs prevents this from happening as often, as skills come off cooldown while mechs are happening, but in others it's GLARINGLY obvious. Is there something I should be trying to get on my gear to help this? will cooldown reduction help? Is my attack speed TOO fast? Am I just too fast at hitting my skills and should slow down a little unless its under a buff like trying not to let the stun run out or not let stacks fall off?
Get more bows in a party. Spear dagger relies alot on deadly marker cd
Co-signing what freshy said ^. If you get longbows in your party then you’ll have virtually 0 downtime on the skills.

At first I tried a bit ( without a full pve build for spear dagger ) but i decided it's a mana eater.... sometimes is bad asf to just stick to regen when healer has no mana help. So i stick to GS / Spear love it

they dont read skills or test themselves. they go on youtube , find highest view video and copy paste. then after that they come to my video and realize how much dps they been missing

6:11 if you play it back at .25 speed he only used it twice, it looks like a 3rd because he is spamming the skill input faster than the skill will allow
it shouldn't still go on the cooldown. i never had it happen while I spam this skills like crazy too
Yeah it made me chuckle when he said 2 times and used it 3 times literally in the video he is recording. But yeah, shit happens I guess. Also been using bloodleech just because I couldnt think of much to put in there for the last slot
Good job, very accurate. Aragon copies and pastas often and misinterpreted what he sees. I called him out for it previously. He always waits to put out content after whelps ect.

Try mixing use of javelin surge with fatal stigma. Fatal stigma ALSO counts as a brand.

@FRESHY_GG similar to how cleaving moonlight says attack skill but counts for mobility, and gale rush applies a burst stacks but has nothing in the description. Hidden mechanic

@@FRESHY_GG nope but read the text of javelin surge. States "or if a branded target dies". Not really viable in PvE honestly but it does seem to reset fatal stigma when javelin surge with the spec gets a kill, and javelin surge is reset when something does to fatal stigma.

I've been browsing your builds in questlog, I'd like to know on what your suggestion is in transitioning to PVP, I'd like to focus more in small scale PVP, I need your suggestion on what build should I go to; should I start collecting Melee/Range Eva build or just go directly and do your Balance/Hit build which is Range/Magic Eva?
if ur focus is small scale and arena ur best going for melee evasion and around 900-1000 hit chance if possible

@@SeanJohnDensing ill be transitioning to melee evasion with T2 gear in the future. right now I wouldn't go with melee evasion in T1 as u cant really stack that much without losing other stats
So, you reacted to one skill stating he was giving wrong information and that you know how it works but then, don’t know how aura works in a rotation and you main this weapon set? Maybe you both need to learn the weapon skills before making videos 😂
the whole video is based off of one wrong info and makes the comparison pointless. and bloodleech aura is pretty useless in single target dps, thats why i never used it
Blood Leech is obviously made for content with large groups of enemies. The only other use l could think of is a higher proc rate of Retaliatory Strike (crit rate), also Imposing Form (skill damage)? But again that would be much more effective in large groups.
I'll play with bloodleech aura and the dmg is pretty high , I'll deal ~600-1k per tick. I like it more then stigma but it's just my personal opinion

Conflicting info about Slaughering Slash?, perhaps the translations are wrong, but Slaughering Slash is better than Rising Slash (based on translations), and no one is using the specialization Bursting Echo, which is super good for PvE
It does exactly the same damage. U spend 7 points for AOE instead single target

To me, according to the translations, Slaughtering is better than Rising Slash alone, have you really tested this?. You're not only paying 7 points for AOE, but also for more damage output.
He just got confused because of his character atk speed. I would say mostly game fault in skills description. That being said, it was incorrect information. Also, there is not a single build tonrule them all. Fire is for 3x targets burst is for single.

Spear or dagger in mainhand? The dagger masterys arent that great in my opionion. Actually my spear mastery is 17 and dagger is 18. Atm the dagger in MH is performing better atleast what i feel. But if you have spear at mastery lvl 19 i dont know if the extra 50 skilldmg boost is better. Whats ur opinion ?

I'm not defending anyone but some tooltips are written in a strange way, probably due to poor translation, some things you have to check yourself but I've seen worse tooltips in some games.Edit: I watched the whole video and thought he made a few mistakes but he literally made 1 and repeated it and that's why there's this drama?😂
its no drama. i enjoy his content. I was given this video to look over and found some interesting things, so i figured i try myself in making reacts type of content and see how people like it
Both videos are not properly prepared, because they are not counting cast time and attack speed difference, and number of hits and average evasion ratio. If you count those into the calculation single target dps for Burst builds is way higher than ignite and its more reliable. If you combine it with dagger passives or wand dmg and skill boost increase it even more significant.
I use explosive fury all the way, it's just better overall because of the aoe and with staff u have no mana issues
What do you expect its Aragon he's been doing this since Neverwinter he's always chatting rubbish there's only a few people I watch one of them is you and whelps.....
Basically for PvE:
Brutal Fury = single target dps
Explosive Fury = aoe dps
And for PvP:
Brutal Fury = assassin style, lots of multihits but get hard countered by tanks and damage reduction stat. (much like xbow/dagger)
Explosive Fury = bruiser style, aoe potential and less countered by damage reduction since it has less hits and higher damage per hit.

For PvP Explosive Fury its better just because you have access to Javelin Inferno but yeah, for Bosses Brutal Furty its better.
I’m still getting instantly rejected at trials party board as a spear longbow when I literally sentinel and double marker to buff your whole teams meanwhile doing decent dps at boss( single target) 😂

@@kaasseyy1 thats the problem b ecause its off meta thats why party board is so bad because of this thing i hope they have random match making like the t1 t2 dungeon in trials because if not party board will be always not realiable because they will reject off meta class

You can get all Xbow dag GS dag “meta” classes if they don’t know mech you will still get wiped, half of these idiots can’t even do a simple rat mech. Just gotta wait for the right team. I’ve managed to find both random parties to clear t14 kertaki and t13 voidwaste tho.
