This video really shows how far behind rF2 is compared to AC, RaceRoom and iRacing when it comes to the single player experience. Having to do all this while at the track first of all. No car previews on the important screens where you really need them. If you have a bunch of mods to sort through it’s just makes things way worse. Clicking back and forth to the “Watch” screen 40 times while adding Ai cars to make sure you picked the right skin for the car. If you wanna delete one particular car out of a grid of 40 cars how do you find it to boot it? You. We should remember all the drivers names? It’s comical how bad rF2 can be. It’s a shame too cause they have LeMans and Sebring.
They all have their pros and cons, in some ways RF2 is much further ahead than AC in other ways its not, its all swings and roundabouts! If you wanna delete one specific car its very easy, you just pick that cars driver and kick
Thanks a lot! Without your help it is just not possible to select the wanted cars. Opponent filter in rF2 is crazy stupid and without help unuseable...I bet even the developers don't know how to use it 🤪
Its not in the sim just yet as this was from Beta footage, but talking of things not being simple, it did occur to me that when it does come into the main branch of the sim, it still might not show up too well if you have Partical effects turned down to low or off in your graphics settings. So if you dont see it, try turning those up. I could be wrong but, just a thought!

Excellent video tutorial on this topic! Thanks so much. Is there any chance that you could do a future video tutorial on setting up and running your own rF2 server? I have a group of guys who are dying to race as a league using rF2, but we haven't found a way to setup a server, Way too complicated. Thanks.
Oh my goodness, I have spent the last 3 days trying to figure out how to do this and it turns out it's so simple! Thank you so so much for this! I do have one question - is it possible at all to then save that grid so you don't have to do it over and over again? Or is that an entirely different thing?
Mixed grid racing is so awesome to watch I’m suprised nobody focus’s a TH-cam channel just on themed races like BTCC Vs nascar or Caterhams vs aerial atoms etc etc it would be great to watch the ai battling it out
Awesome mate, I was always setting say 19 Ai before loading and then booting and adding from the area you added them. For example the Porsche Cup car always added those ugly rF2 skinned cars and i always had to boot them, now I know to add 0 Ai before load and add liveries as you instructed. I've never know how to add odd cars here and there either, you have shown me the way Obi Kenobi.
This also applies for single class racing series in which there might be cars you do not want see on the grid (im talking to you, Formula E and INDYCAR show cars)
Afraid you do have to manually select at a different track, but if its at the same track you can load from replay of your last session there and then click resume to drive with the cars you had there last time
Is there also a simple way to change the class of a car so they all show up in the same class in the leaderboards? for example the Huracan GT3 mod has it's own class, not GT3.
For all S397 GT3's you can select GT3 under opponents before loading track, but the Huracan is a mod car so will not be included in the GT3's as its standalone. Im sure there is probably a note pad file you can edit somewhere to change it but i've never had to. What you can do is create a mod using the MAS program and put together all the gT3's with the Huracan and tracks you want, then select that in the game under series
You pretty much have to know what you have installed, if you've only got S397 installed then of course its all official content, but if you've got mods installed its pretty much up to you to know what they are

Awesome! This is helping so much! Just building up a balanced grid of LMH, LMP2 and GTE was impossible. Now I can finally do it 😀

Also, do you know how to make cars or tracks favourite? Having most played or favourite content would be great.

Can you then save your selection of AI cars and reload them at different tracks, or do you have to manually reselect them all at each new race/track?

Just wondering, is it possible to edit the names of all the drivers?
I think its possible but overly complicated, thing you have to go digging around in program files under vehicles and teams and then edit MAS files
Can You save such multiclass sessions and make there a Serie for, so Rfactor 2 strarted faster at loading with selected tracks?
You can make a mod in MAS exe and then save as a series to then load in game
