      Lina, I grew up in SoCal drenched in baby oil at the beach. I noticed a [smaller than] pea-sized basal cell carcinoma raised growth on my right nostril and I had Mohs surgery to remove it. I was freaked out at the thought of what-ifs so I prepared myself for losing my entire nose. Nope! One tiny patch removed and the margins were clear. Whew! I can't even see the scar. 50 SPF for my face and body every day now. I know you're concerned, but I bet the removal will be minor for you as well. Best wishes!

    My holy grail products are from La Roche-Posay , more specifically their Toleriane range which is for sensitive skin. It’s absolutely amazing and has saved my skin which is very sensitive. The stand out products there are the Ultra cream and the serum. The serum is amazing for anyone with sensitive skin that might be going through something, it calms things down almost immediately. Just a total gem.

    When you mused about the "cica 7" and why it uses all different parts of the plant, I thought I would throw out that different parts of a plant have different chemical compounds because of the different purposes they serve to the plant. Your flowers are for reproduction, often berry/ fruit is used to entice animals to eat so they will drop seeds further away once they have digested, and often leaves have compounds that function to deter consumption because leaves are essential for photosynthesis. I'm going out on a limb (get it ;) that product developers have noticed different benefits from the different chemicals from each part of the plant. Obviously this is speculative, but I think is broad enough and tracks fairly well to not be complete nonsense. :D
    Love your videos! Your voice is so soothing; I like to play your videos while I'm doing my skincare or makeup.

    A series of holy grails each one focusing on a particular product would be amazing. So toners, cleansers etc get a show each. It could cover different price points and then at least 5 or so could be in each film. That would be an amazing resource to call upon

    I just got the Inkey PHA! I have dry and sensitive skin, and so far, it’s the first exfoliant to not cause immediate irritation on my skin. I hope it continues to work well, but I’m only a couple uses in.

    I was excited for the last one as I really would love a decently sized serum for barrier repair but niacinamide is the first ingredient my skin can't tolerate when barrier becomes weaker :( Any other barrier-strengthening serum recommendations without niacinamide? It's a real chore to find skincare without it nowadays

      James has also said the Sunday Riley “ice” ceramide cream helped him a lot. They’re not the most affordable brand, but it is a really great product. No niacinamide. 👍🏼

    LOVE! That Ample ceramide ampoule. A light ceramide moisturizer you could try is Meishoku Brilliant Colors - Ceracolla Perfect Gel Cream. It has been great for summers in Miami but I could see it being layered under a thicker moisturizer for dryer months.

    Helloooo sweetheart 💓 I love these videos! You’ve got me obsessed & I re-subscribed to BoxyCharm just for Glow Recipe products and another fav of mine Farmacy, plus they have add-on’s and pop-up store where if you’re a Charmer you can buy skincare for half the price or even less! I’m 42 and when I was younger I naturally had nice skin so I thought I didn’t have to use anything besides a face cleanser from the drug store that just had bad ingredients ( but that’s kinda how it was honestly ) . Oh and the days of using that really harsh exfoliating St. Ives apricot face scrub 😬 that definitely hurt me more in the end I’m sure! So now that I’ve found some great products and know that I have to use an SPF every single day, my skin is so much better & I have a good routine! I do wish I knew more when I was younger..but at least now my kid’s generation knows that skincare is a must.. especially a good cleanser and SPF!

    Love these suggestions! So far my holy grails have been Inkey List Salicylic Acid Cleanser, The Ordinary Buffet + Copper Peptide Serum, Biossance Omega Repair Cream, and I'm From Mugwort Cream. I feel like I tend to experiment with and switch in and out of exfoliants and serums and still figuring out a holy grail toner although SK-II has been a fave but it's just so pricey to have on rotation constantly!

    I am always in awe of how our skin types couldn’t be more opposite and yet we have all the same skincare. These are literally my HG products with the exception I have a different brand enzyme powder and my Ample: N I have in the Mist instead of the serum 🤯 I really think it’s because you have rosacea and I get the lupus flare rashes which gives us the “sensitive” skin condition and favor of PHAs. I do also always keep Etude Houses Soon Jung cica balm, barrier cream and toner along with Klairs midnight blue cream on hand in case of a flare. I was introduced to Ample:N several years back from a Korean subscription box called PinkSeoul - it’s a good one!

    I just recently got into skincare (I was blessed as a younger person to have no acne but now I do thanks to hormones and masks). Here's what I'm using:
    - Beauty of Joseon Radiance Cleansing Balm
    - Tatcha The Deep Cleanse
    - Some by Mi Miracle 30 Days Toner
    - Whamisa Organic Flowers Toner (I use it as a serum, the terms are interchangeable)
    - Dear, Klairs Fundamental Water Gel Cream
    And Murad salicylic acid for spot treatment
    That was long but I'd love to hear feedback about the routine!

    You asked for holy grail products but I’m so fickle that I can only think of one, which is the MUAC green tea and pomegranate cleanser. It is one of those ahhh feels good products. Haven’t found anything better. They have a moisturizer to go with it but it only lasts about an hour then you have to reapply. They also have a toner which feels great but I notice is filled with alcohol so I’ve purchased a few of your recommendations instead. I have holy grail ingredients (which do not include snail slime) but not products. Oh and the incredibly expensive Alastin for after microneedling. My aesthetician sells it. Only thing that doesn’t burn after such an undertaking.

    Might try the Cosrx Cica serum for when my skin is dying... since it seems its happening more and more often ^^' My kinda holy grail would be Nature Republic watery cream. I'm trying Beauty of Joseon moisturizer right now but it's definitely heavier. I used to be fine with very heavy creams but well not anymore I guess xD I think I might have to use it for nighttime... And another one I love is Klairs deep cleansing oil! I tried Purito one and urgh. So now I'm just gotta stick to Klairs. Also tried the Banilla balm and Face shop light oil at my sister's place... gotta say I'm glad I didn't buy the Face shop one back in the day. Perfume smell is hella strong...

    • @symoneallijohn6241
      @symoneallijohn6241 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      What did you think of the banilla balm? ☺️ I’ve just bought one to try but need to finish up the ordinary squalene cleanser I’m using first - can’t wait to try it 😂

    • @Lyrisia
      @Lyrisia 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@symoneallijohn6241 I think it's good but nothing amazing. It does its job :) It's rather lightweight after it melts down which is nice. In terms in texture it would something like : Purito >>>> Banila > Klairs > Face Shop. I'm not the biggest fan of balms since I think they are too much hassle. I'm lazy lol It's much faster to pump out some oil rather than scoop out some balm, close the lid, wash the spatula and then apply the balm.
