Halls River Road - Homosassa Florida - 4 Days After Hurricane Helene

Residents of the Halls River Road area in Homosassa Florida are hard at work cleaning out soaked belongings and putting them at the curb. Mattresses, appliances, and destroyed personal belongings line the swales everywhere. Houses appear to have had at least 2ft of standing water in them for quite some time with water lines visible on their stucco exteriors. Residents are shoveling out silt, sand, and mud from their houses and throwing out everything that can be replaced.
