Hey you have had great trips and never needed a tattoo. Remember once in the skin, surgery will/laser will remove them, but ugly scars remain. AND they will need touching up every few years or so! Happy sails to your lives.

When I was talking with a friend this week who has a house on one of the islands around Puerto Rico thanks to your videos I actually knew where it was and could visualize the gorgeous setting. it was located on a hill on Vieques just up from the ferry dock with a view toward Culebra. I've seen the amazing Arecibo from the air . Flying in a helo ,legs out the door is a great way to view that dish . Great way to view anything in the tropics ! Old navy days stationed in PR .
You guys are lucky. I have been there a few times and the receiver has never moved while we have been there. However, we once were there when two guys were walking on the dish, so we got a good perspective on how big it really is.

I was contracted in the late 90's to do some work at the Arecibo Observatory. At the time Cornell Univ managed the facility and I had a great 2 months performing a "tune-up".
The first time I went to San Juan I ordered a Budweiser in a hotel bar...$4! My buddy ordered a pina colada...$1. Rum is cheap when you cut out the middle man. And yes, we got seriously lost in the mountains driving from Roosevelt Roads to San Juan. Great video!
Absolutely love this video, I think it is what most viewers really love most about the channel, adventure, exploring, good chemistry between you two and good information in it. Plenty of altitude to Base Jump, we have Base jumped from the Perrine bridge in Twin Falls Idaho, you only have 486 feet of altitude on this bridge, so that means, you have only a two second chute deployment. no room for errors, plenty of video on TH-cam of us jumping off the bridge.

My best friend and his copilot both died in a plane crash as their airplane came apart midair over this area a few years ago. Would like to know more about what the aviation warning areas mean in that area and why they are there.
She explained it on an earlier episode, broke her arm falling down steps and getting it caught between the banisters, if i remember right, she had to get pins put in??
Guy Mooglie Yep, Rob has it right! A couple of months before we set sail, I fell down some stairs. As I went to catch the handrail, I put my arm through it instead. My momentum was enough to break each bone in half. I'm just a little bionic now. :)

Megan, your body is perfect as it is! If there was a tattoo, it would be like seeing graffiti on top of a beautiful work of art. My advice would be to leave perfection as it is.
But if bent in a fender bender they DO repaint them. She has a scar she isn't totally comfortable with and wants to cover it with something pretty and I assume, from her personality, tasteful. She should be allowed to do what she wants and 1/2 the male population will like it and 1/2 wont. But she will be happy with herself and that is what counts. Not a rant guys and not a Net fight, I just believe in people doing what they want to do..
Meagan, I do hope you go back and read these as I know you arent really around anymore which is a shame. One of the most enjoyable thigns about watching these videos are having someone as genuine as you. Which makes you very likable, anyways. I think that a tattoo would fit you and your personality very well. I do think that you are on the right path trying to get something to incorporate the scar with the tattoo. I have a few suggestions though. One get some advise on the area about the challenges the scar will present with a tattoo as well as holding up with ink. Make sure that you incorporate some type of background with it too as it tends to tie in better with a theme and the overall looks, again working with a tattoo artist even if it is your drawing. Lastly the most important. Don't go out and get one just on a whim. Research the artists looking at there portfolios online and otherwise. Choose one who fits your style and what you like. You can start to search online even traveling for it. Most very good artists will take a good bit to have to schedule before hand. For example mine on my back was about a year out to get Horiyoshi to do my work. I also had to travel to Japan, plus with my work done in the traditional way there where some distinct challenges as well as how long overall it took for me to have to stay to get it finished, with all the correspondence and planning beforehand as well as finalizing everything there with scheduling being a US Citizen having to spend that time in Japan. Overall I wish you the best of luck and hopefully will see you around in the future. If not it was a great joy to get to know you and follow along on this journey in life.

Megan, I'll admit I noticed the scar early on but it instantly passed from my mind. Was it surgical or from an accident? I have nothing against tats but I don't think one would be at all necessary. I doubt it could or would improve on the perfection that is you. It's your body, of course, so do as YOU please. Don't consider what others may or may not think. ALL-A-Tauto

Daniel Hoyle It's the sport and the romance of being in and sailing on a monohull. The cat is much more comfortable, but if I wanted comfort I would've stayed in Dallas cozied up on my couch. 💁🏼

Megan, I'll admit I noticed the scar early on but it instantly passed from my mind. Was it surgical or from an accident? I have nothing against tats but I don't think one would be at all necessary.
