In Iceland offroad vehicles are called Jeppi, many people over there, therefore use the word jeep to translate jeppi to English. Among the first offroad vehicles imported to Iceland where Light Utility Vehicle's during the WW II, as a generic military term, "Jeep" is often used to describe any small military. Even though you don't see any actual Jeeps in this vid, modified Jeeps, such as Wranglers, Scramblers, Commanche's and Cherokee's are pretty common sight over here.
Dude I wish we could get Nissian Patrols here in California you guys are lucky you can also get better diesel land cruisers there in the UAE also huh? All we get are the gas 200's and the FJ cruisers.
actually the ford is built entirely in the USA in Kentucky till 2006 where production was moved to Mexico....the most USA made vehicle is the Ford Expedition built in Michigan using 95% USA parts no matter many of you are ignorant. Cool video cant wait to go there!
what kind of tires they used ? I want like these tires the width is so good for soft surfaces. I think these tires 44" in excursion but is there the same idea of these tires with under 40" tall ?
the course at the dealership is much more rigorous than these yank tanks can handle ;) ...hey, at least he wasn't trying to brag about his amazing Freelander haha.
not sure if you can see it properly in the video but the box for the original spare has been modified to serve as a storage compartment for towropes and such .. no mess inside the vehicle that way :)
I love how Europeans do it. American lift trucks are mostly body lifts full of rust and used tractor tires with several cases of empty beer in the back.
@BeRollinLikeOh "Jeep" is derived from the Icelandic term "jeppi" which is used as a name for 4x4s. We're not talking about Jeep as in the brand. I know it's lame translation.
these things are baddass, they look great for snow and mud. theyre nothing like a ford or a nissan,i bet thyre almost as custom as a monster truck, but still that is fuckin sweet
i think the excursion could be lifted little more but stilll veryyy niceeeeeee

Great looking Excursion! Both of those rigs are built perfectly for what you are doing!
Dude I wish we could get Nissian Patrols here in California you guys are lucky you can also get better diesel land cruisers there in the UAE also huh? All we get are the gas 200's and the FJ cruisers.

The Nissan is nice as hell I'm sure it outperforms the heavy ass excursion, even though is a nicely modified excursion. :D
Ford looks supercool.
love the video, especially the trucks and the way they have fun!
The secret is very wide tires and mild lift to give that "floating" feel over the snow and ice.
I don't care if I even live in NY. I want one.
I would sure like to take that trip once!
cool my step dad has a awsome 4 door jeep we go off roading too

they're both imports in iceland ;)
Красотища.

Filmed with a brownie hawkeye from the early twenties!
Cool look at chadwick1472 videos pretty good 4wheeling
when they ford the river, wouldn't the cold water crack the warm engine block?
that is a cool truck
LOOK WHAT DETROIT GAVE YOU!

Never seen a big ford truck do that before. Whats different? Im suprised they even have running boards.
i love this
wow wish i could go there to experience that, love the modified patrol , dont think they would allow that in new zealand
AMERICA!!!!
those are pretty sweet.... but there aren't any JEEPS there?
Is that a freakin nissan pathfinder!?
Never seen a big ford truck do that before. Whats different?
im suprised there electrical equipment does go on the frits with them being in water that deep or screws with the engines sensors.
very cool. Me next. me next!
