He always has full control of his vibrato and uses it to be sad, to cry, to seduce, to compel, to make you want him....I have never seen anything like it, but we must remember he spent 20 years totally dedicated to developing his instrument. I have seen video of him standing in from of a mirror working out every detail of how he will use his voice, his body movement and his arms and hands to lure you in. I have watched him in a photo shoot/video walking toward the camera in a suit and people walk past then stop and turn around and stare realizing they have just witnessed greatness. He is tall and stunning in his appearance and in his talents. If he sings, he is great. If he plays the piano it is moving. If he plays the drums, he is shocking. If he plays the Dombra, he is utterly exciting. If he sings an old Kazak folk song, he can bring you to tears. If he sings a Michael Jackson song, or a Queen Song, he can make you thing you have never really heard pop or a real hard rock lead singer. When he is singing opera, he shocks you with his lower range and strength. He is the singer.

Ah, I'm so impressed with your channel! You will go far- in just a short time, the Dears are going to love you. I suppose I'm a Dear as well, but I mostly think of them earning that endearment by being in his live audiences. Okay, I'm impressed with your genuine emotion at what is happening in the performances as well as your obvious awareness of the talent from the deeper understanding of singers and musicians. Also your bilingual skills are very impressive. One more thing, I'm so happy you are doing these reactions quickly, back to back! I always wonder how other reactors can wait so long for the next one. Speaking about Dimash and how to experience his exquisite performances, I would ask you if you want to take the contest week by week from The Singer 2017 shows. If so, I would even go back and watch week 1, which was S.O.S. and I promise you that you will enjoy the different flavor that one has- I almost like it better, than the more perfect later one. That was the moment that Dimash went from a nobody in China to literally needing body guards the next day and since then. The audience went wild- the competitors were gob-smacked, stunned. So anyway, you could do all the weeks of the contest or just the most loved ones, I like how 'Autumn Strong' also surprised the audience so much because Dimash sang it in perfect Mandarin which is one of the most difficult languages to get right. 'Adagio' is beautiful, 'The Show Must Go On' and 'Hello' are sure bets. Besides The Singer performances, 'Love is Like a Dream', 'Olimpico' and 'Your Love' all written for him by Igor Krutoy I believe. And then I would do 'Sinful Passion' because it's like dessert- wait a bit and enjoy the other courses. And for more recent check out 'Across Endless Dimensions' music video which is the end credits song for a big movie that came out unfortunately during lockdowns. Also his work in the Tokyo Jazz Festival which was online/distanced for Covid. From my perspective Dimash is downloading Love and giving it away. That's why we can't get enough of him, why the same song is so enchanting again and again. There is real magic happening in them.

If you are a vocal student, Dimash is definitely one to model after, I know most can't get close to his range but the mechanics, control, stage presence, I think much can inspire you to be the best you.
100% correct. He is definitely the best teacher IMHO. I've been matching him for 2 yrs and your vocals will definitely become flexible. Dimash is a swimmer...Back in the days I competed in swimming, was life guard and a diver. Moving air and breath control... when I grasped that concept...ooh it's taking in air, holding and moving it to sustain the note...just like swimming.

Love is like a Dream he has a long note at the end of the song 2/3 of it is straight and he brings the vibrato in at the end. It is a wonderful song that builds slowly and takes surprising turns. Written by Igor Krutoy 27 years ago and reworked for Dimash. He recently performed it at the Slavic Bazaar where he was on the jury this year. I have enjoyed both your reactions to Dimash. The total package. I do recommend using the text translator because the words in his songs are as powerful as his vocals and at the end of Simple Passion (in Russian) he speaks and you get just a quick glimpse of his personality. This was the first performance I watched of Dimash 4 plus years ago. I thought he was really cocky and it put me off but his abilities made me watch another video of him, SOS. I then realized he was simply in character for Opera 2. If you watch this video past where you stopped you will see a beautiful moment between Dimash and his dad. His dad is the gentleman with the red lanyard that does the fist pump at the end of Dimash's performance. His dad surprised him by showing up but stayed out of sight until the end of the performance so Dimash would not get more nervous. Dimash is thanking the audience and catches a glimpse of his dad out of the corner of his eye. Just a beautiful interaction follows,. Thank you!

@@hunted3355 Just a minor correction, Adagio was episode 6. Episode 3 was Show Must Go On and his first ever attempt to sing in English. He had to arrange/produce his version in a week, learn the English words and the pronunciation too. The result was what Dears have called Dinglish! 4 years later his English singing is perfectly articulated and he can do interviews in English.

What seems impossible is doable for Dimash due to his god given wide range and 20 years of training. The thing is he knows the limits of his voice so well that you will rarely see him strain if at all. He is the vocal master. Uncomparable in my opinion. Next you must check out Sinful Passions, Love is Like a Dream, Olimpico (from Maestro Igor Krutoy's channel) and then Adagio (from the Chinese Singer 2017). All are magnificent.
The SOS performance you reacted to was a performance after he was getting well known - I'd suggest checking out he first performance on "The Singer", where he was an unknown outside his own country and not expected to be very good. I also prefer that performance/audition because it has some vocal aspects the performance didn't. If you haven't done so, you may also appreciate the singer Diana Ankudinove - "Wicked Games" and "Human" are often cited, but I have a soft spot for her audition on HTB where she sang "Derniére Danse". She has other performances of it but I think of it as being her best, partly because of her stage presence and ability to convey the vulnerability of the role, even at 14.

He always has full control of his vibrato and uses it to be sad, to cry, to seduce, to compel, to
make you want him....I have never seen anything like it, but we must remember he spent 20 years totally dedicated to developing his instrument. I have seen video of him standing in from of a mirror working out every detail of how he will use his voice, his body movement and his arms and hands to lure you in.
I have watched him in a photo shoot/video walking toward the camera in a suit and people walk past then stop and turn around and stare realizing they have just witnessed greatness.
He is tall and stunning in his appearance and in his talents. If he sings, he is great. If he plays the piano it is moving.
If he plays the drums, he is shocking. If he plays the Dombra, he is utterly exciting. If he sings an old Kazak folk song, he can bring you to tears. If he sings a Michael Jackson song, or a Queen Song, he can make you thing you have never really heard pop or a real hard rock lead singer.
When he is singing opera, he shocks you with his lower range and strength.

A rich layered fabric of assorted colors and hues. Hard working, focused, and talented yes. But as composer Igor Krutoy describes him..." He has a direct connection with the cosmos" . He calls him Cosmic boy. Krutoy is world renowned and has worked with the finest talents in the world. Ah, I'm so impressed with your channel! You will go far- in just a short time, the Dears are going to love you. I suppose I'm a Dear as well, but I mostly think of them earning that endearment by being in his live audiences. Okay, I'm impressed with your genuine emotion at what is happening in the performances as well as your obvious awareness of the talent from the deeper understanding of singers and musicians. Speaking about Dimash and how to experience his exquisite performances, I would ask you if you want to take the contest week by week from The Singer 2017 shows. If so, I would even go back and watch week 1, which was S.O.S. and I promise you that you will enjoy the different flavor that one has- I almost like it better, than the more perfect later one. That was the moment that Dimash went from a nobody in China to literally needing body guards the next day and since then. The audience went wild- the competitors were gob-smacked, stunned. So anyway, you could do all the weeks of the contest or just the most loved ones, I like how 'Autumn Strong' also surprised the audience so much because Dimash sang it in perfect Mandarin which is one of the most difficult languages to get right. 'Adagio' is beautiful, 'The Show Must Go On' and 'Hello' are sure bets. Besides The Singer performances, 'Love is Like a Dream', 'Olimpico' and 'Your Love' all written for him by Igor Krutoy I believe. And then I would do 'Sinful Passion' because it's like dessert- wait a bit and enjoy the other courses. And for more recent check out 'Across Endless Dimensions' music video which is the end credits song for a big movie that came out unfortunately during lockdowns. Also his work in the Tokyo Jazz Festival which was online/distanced for Covid.
From my perspective Dimash is downloading Love and giving it away. That's why we can't get enough of him, why the same song is so enchanting again and again. There is real magic happening in them.

Desde luego tienes toda la razón, para mí lo mejor es la interpretación de cada historia de la canción, su voz es la herramienta más visible, perdón más audible, pero su lenguaje corporal, su mirada. En fin es un artista completo de pies a cabeza, y sigue evolucionando.

Written by Igor Krutoy 27 years ago and reworked for Dimash. He recently performed it at the Slavic Bazaar where he was on the jury this year. I have enjoyed both your reactions to Dimash. This was the first performance I watched of Dimash 4 plus years ago. I thought he was really cocky and it put me off but his abilities made me watch another video of him, SOS. I then realized he was simply in character for Opera 2.
If you watch this video past where you stopped you will see a beautiful moment between Dimash and his dad. His dad is the gentleman with the red lanyard that does the fist pump at the end of Dimash's performance. His dad surprised him by showing up but stayed out of sight until the end of the performance so Dimash would not get more nervous. Dimash is thanking the audience and catches a glimpse of his dad out of the corner of his eye. Just a beautiful interaction follows,.

@@hunted3355 Just a minor correction, Adagio was episode 6. Episode 3 was Show Must Go On and his first ever attempt to sing in English. He had to arrange/produce his version in a week, learn the English words and the pronunciation too. The result was what Dears have called Dinglish! 4 years later his English singing is perfectly articulated and he can do interviews in English.

P.s - 8:52 that was his dad who flew to China to pay a surprise visit to Dimash and dimash spotted his dad while thanking the orchestra after the performance. And dimash's interaction with his dad then, was a wholesome and heartwarming scene to witness. He asked his dad if he sang well after such a performance which shows how humble he is and said he missed home. 😍💜

What seems impossible is doable for Dimash due to his god given wide range and 20 years of training. The thing is he knows the limits of his voice so well that you will rarely see him strain if at all. He is the vocal master. Uncomparable in my opinion.
Next you must check out Sinful Passions, Love is Like a Dream, Olimpico (from Maestro Igor Krutoy's channel) and then Adagio (from the Chinese Singer 2017). All are magnificent.

The SOS performance you reacted to was a performance after he was getting well known - I'd suggest checking out he first performance on "The Singer", where he was an unknown outside his own country and not expected to be very good. I also prefer that performance/audition because it has some vocal aspects the performance didn't.
If you haven't done so, you may also appreciate the singer Diana Ankudinove - "Wicked Games" and "Human" are often cited, but I have a soft spot for her audition on HTB where she sang "Derniére Danse". She has other performances of it but I think of it as being her best, partly because of her stage presence and ability to convey the vulnerability of the role, even at 14.
