Image film to promote the Antwerp diamond community. Almost exclusively shot in Antwerp, with a little Hong Kong part. Although thoroughly prepared, it was shot with a very small crew of mostly three people. This documentary way of shooting made everyone feel more comfortable. Apart from the shooting at actual Antwerp traders, diamond bourses, grading & polishing companies... etc. Hope you enjoy the film!

Now that's all well known: they do their business in the nearby hotels... Where not too many questions are asked about Kimberley statusses. Because, - exclude South Africa for a while - what percentage of African diamonds actually come from conflict zones ? What percentage will actually fund rebel movements or cruel greedy dictators ? Remember Bokassa, remember Mobutu... That goes on and on and on. Because, frankly, are diamonds THAT beautiful ? The reason why people are so interested in them is because they are small, and easily concealable. For many people, that has very much importance.
