I've run around many mining ghost towns in New Mexico. They never cease to amaze me how fast the spring up and how rapidly the fade away. In many cases, towns tryed to continue life as stage stops or cow towns - availabilty of water permiting, only to die when either the Army leaves the area or the rail road bypasses the town. Usually, the death nail of a town is when mail service is discontinued. The towns are always fun to explore, especially if they had banks as these were usually stone structures and it's easy to identify areas such as where the safe was located. Another great video you have put out!

Thank you! Yes! There a so many great places like that to explore in New Mexico! Have you ever been to Chloride? They have a fully stocked general store which was boarded up never to open again.

Thanks for the informative video about gold mining in Colorado. Makes me think of the Tennessee Ernie Ford song, "Sixteen Tons" (I owe my soul to the company store)
