As en electronic repairman I love that one door is different from the others because it's always like that with electronic devices, they all behave a little different from each other
ikr, I love how it's more complex yet plays fairly simple. I have a feeling they made it more complex to make the existing FNAF 1 strats basically useless, forcing new strategies to be developed to deal with the much different AI system.
@@raviexthegodalso it fixes a lot of the weird problems in FNAF, like a string of failed movement checks resulting in a loss of tension, or Chica's butt covering Freddy on the camera.
It's kinda funni to me that FNAF games seem to never use level 20 AI in the "pre-made" nights A Bite at Freddy's technically does with the "Full Course" challenge but even that's dialed back so you don't just get slammed immediately, the crew gets to that point during the home stretch - _you gotta MANUALLY set the AIs to 20 if you want the level 20 experience the whole time_
I’ve heard of a FNAF fangame (fangame of a fangame, technically) where, in one of the side modes, almost every new character that gets added is immediately set to 20
One example i can come up with is a fangame called "playtime with percy", and on the custom hour section (the game's version of the custom night) there is an all 20 challenge after beating the 2 ones that the game gives you
The main reason for that is because most fan games tend to stick to the FNAF one way of determining movement opportunities, meaning that an animatronic on AI level 20 is usually a teleporting little freak that's almost impossible to deal with unless you take advantage of little quirks in the way the AI works. That type of info takes a bit to come out so the game would die pretty quick if animatronics on say night 5 were on AI level 20 all night.
It's worth noting that the "actual 5/20" works by removing the "start time" for threadbear and foxy, which makes it very comparable to this one, interestingly enough!
It makes sense. You generally want the vast majority of players to be able to finish your game, even the extra challenges. I think having it be possible to manually set the AIs to 20 is a completely fair compromise. It is there for the players who want that challenge, but it isn't going to impede the average player from completing the game, or even completing the game's extra challenges.
I have never seen people talk about the technical aspects of fnaf fangames, I'm so glad this video exists because I was getting bored of everyone studying fnaf 1 all the time!

The movement in this game being a roll of 25-failed movement attempts instead of the usual simple 20 roll is really neat, it reminds me of the idea that fnaf one 4/20 might actually be harder with bonnie and chica at 19 instead of 20 because it gives them opportunities to fail movement checks at the door and be stuck there longer.
@@josephprince0208 hey i'm not trying to invalidate you or anything, it's just funny when this is something so many have been curious about for so long. It's like saying, "Hell yeah Portal 3! I've been waiting months for this one!"
30:06 the reason why the game handles the time like that is I think so that Shadow Candy wouldn’t rewind his AI level, as his AI level is time-dependent. The game to display how many hours progressed is: DisplayedTime = 6-(GoalPost-TotalHours). Where GoalPost is the target time the night ends. Initially this value is 6, but incremted by 1 for every Shadow Candy attack, and decreased by 1 for each origami found (I’d assume you cannot decrease this value below 6) TotalHours is how many hours you progressed, increasing every 1 minute and 10 seconds (assuming a night is 7 minutes).
@@TheBones5An alternative would be to simply avoid setting the AI level to a lower number. Edit: We are taking Penguin's orders with this one🗣🗣🗣🔥🔥🔥
22:24 my video paused here without me knowing and I just thought we were REALLY appreciating the creepiness of the music stopping
I just beat 7/20 as my first ever max mode, but I just played it like I would any other night 😭that strategy you used is so much easier than doing it regularly lol
Awesome! It's great to see that more and more people want to know how this game works! And I'm also happy to see you'll cover the FNaC But Better games in the future! Will you also cover the second game in the FNaC series? Despite being the weakest of the three, I always found it the most curious, since it's the one with the most room for potential.
This guy should have like 8m subscribers lol he is super underated
Can I take your order? 🗣🗣🗣🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
No stop messing with my doors!
When i beat null as a kid i didnt even know he could show up at the cams so i just did the same strat i did during the normal nights and got lucky lol
Very epic video, loved it :D
Dude the UCN video will be a banger
I don’t understand this at all, nor do I care to because I don’t play nor watch this game, but your voice is calming and for some reason, I really enjoy hearing you explain stuff like this. Honestly really fun to just have droning while I do other things, and try to understand when I zone in lmao.
