That was a short piece but really great. I love those swing pieces... What a ... a sense of *swing* ! Irresistible ! Not much guitar solos here, and who cares, really ?! it's not the point here, just a great riff, great ensemble playing ... they obviously have a ton of fun playing together and they play so well ! Hats off ! The whole live performance is a treat ! How much I wish I had been there to attend !
A local house band ... Otis Watkins and the Cry Babies ... used to play this song before taking a break every time and I never got tired of listening to it ... loved it then and loved it now ...
I LEARNED THIS SONG BACK IN 1964 AND I STILL PLAY IT ON OCCASION THE FREDDIE KING SOUND IS VICIOUS JOE SURE LOVES THIS GREAT SONG THIS STAY-TITE BAND IS ROCKING CARLOS GUITARLOS 90042 USA
I won’t cut him down, he’s successful and has a following and that’s a big achievement. So that’s admirable. His music just doesn’t do anything for me though? Tried listening to it and gave it a fair shake. Maybe I’ve just seen too many Blues Rock cover acts?
I want a GOOD gibson 335 so bad I can't stand it but every time I'm in the market for a new guitar I find another telecaster or another les paul that plays too good to pass on & the 335s are just meh, I'll play a dozen great 335s when I can't afford one though like karma is flipping me the bird or something
This is so bad. Heartless playing ... When one is used to listening Freddie, B.B., Albert King and Collins, Lightnin'... Elmore ... this kid sounds so mechanical it's heartbreaking. No thanks
Outstanding
Great mix. R.I.P. Michael Rhodes.
I like how kept it close to the original Freddie King version.
Yes, he even included Freddie's Peter Gunn riff. Excellent tribute piece and so well played.
T@@alanknott363The best cover IS Stevie Ray Vaughan version...The best of the best Stevie Ray Vaughan hideway...
@@djibinlokoydjo2553srv= greatest improviser of all time.
@@alanknott363whats the peter gunn riff?
Really.. Really.. Nice..!
Joe, you and crew never fail to please. Great playin' and I think Freddie would approve! 😉😊
this is the most dad blues video i have ever seen
Great version. Up there with the Bluesbreakers !
Great!
Just like Freddie played it. Bravo!
Joe - I love the shout out to Freddie King’s live performance playing the red 335 :-)
Sorry it’s a 355 (Stereo)
Love this great musical tribute to the 3 kings!
Grandissimo Joe che chitarrista stupendo e meraviglioso.
Sensational!!!Freddie King!!!Congratulations!!!
Classic stuff....!!!!!!
These guys are great & they always have fun.💙👍🏽
Great guitar playing thanks

You said it all right there
Can’t get enough of listening to Joe. 🥰
Playing guitar myself, Joe mixes elements of Stevie Ray Vaughan, Eric Clapton, and Freddie King into this version.
great txs from France
A local house band ... Otis Watkins and the Cry Babies ... used to play this song before taking a break every time and I never got tired of listening to it ... loved it then and loved it now ...
Beautiful Gibson 335 Joe!! 🎸🙏🎶

Just a rocking!!
Hey! A rockin' good instrumental!
Thanks, Joe! ❤️.¸¸.☆
Again another great performance, beautiful!
Awsome... as always!
Super 👍👍👍!!!!
Was great how Joe, Kirk Fletcher, and Michael Rhodes all leaned in together at 1:35.
They were really enjoying it!
Which is fun to see! ❤️.¸¸.☆
Joe can do it all❤
that was good.
I LEARNED THIS SONG BACK IN 1964

I love to watch great musicians having a great time playing great music!
This band is perfect! And Joe is the best!
sublime and exciting
yeaaaaaaaaah
Amazing performance, and love your🎸🔥❤️💯
Great performance!!
Had a Clapton double album in the 70's i first heard Hidaway on
I heard Clapton Play this Song with John Mayhall and the Blues Breakers. And, it's still my favorite Version.
Fast! Phew!
🔥🔥🔥🔥
mellow real good
Rip John
Michael Rhodes is outstanding ...relaxed .,poised and a clock running on synthetic oil ...RIP ...God keep you in his right palm 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
Tarantino is at it again
Best version I've heard since Freddie King's original!
🤣🤣🤣
Joe Bonamassa the king of the blues !!!
No the King of the Blues will always be BB
Amazing !!!
Very good version.

Wow, a bank manager can play the blues!
Джо ты супер 🎉
Haha love the Peter gunn part😂🤘
Me too. Bluesbreakers left that part out, right?
I think BB and Clapton are the true Kings of the Blues
Dont forget albert and freddie
@@lcollingwood5959 Yes, BB, Albert and Freddie for sure. Better not mention Burger King lol.

Kirk Fletcher man that guy can play
♥️😎♥️
Joe Bonamassa...that's a great...point!!🤟
Wow, I've just recently started learning Clapton's version, and here's Joe's.
pretty sure joe is sticking to what freddie king does on the original verbatim
@@knightfall9394 Zgadza się ;)
The version I have is done by Stevie Ray Vaughan
Joe,
when will you come to Kiev? We seem to have quarantine right now, but I hope you’ll be able to perform at the Sports Palace after it?
Reminds me SRV
If I'm being honest I'll take stevie and Freddie kings virsion of hideaway any day of the week but this is still good
Blues Breakers version with Clapton.
👍
Sounds killer. Could it be safe to assume that he's playing Freddie Kings actual 335?
Isn’t that a 355 he’s playing? Varitone with gold hardware.
@@jonkerr2050 its a 1960 ES-345. Its the same model that Freddie was using in the early-mid 60s.
Where does the name "Freddie King" appear above ... outside of the "comments"? Why Not?
Damn, I think I like Joe B's version better than Freddie King or Clapton's version. This is so tight. Love the horns!
I love the tempo of Joe b’s version but i think stevie’s version is king
😎🎸👏🎶👍
wanted them to break into "rude mood"
I am gonna say it. I think this is almost too clean.
I won’t cut him down, he’s successful and has a following and that’s a big achievement. So that’s admirable. His music just doesn’t do anything for me though? Tried listening to it and gave it a fair shake. Maybe I’ve just seen too many Blues Rock cover acts?
Next level
Kirk!
Definitely sound likes Clapton version
I think it's "Joe B. Goode" move over Johnny!
Would have liked Joe to put his strap on his right shoulder as Freddie did. That's cool.
Freddie was left handed. Joe is right handed. It would be silly for Joe to do that.
I don't get it why to cover it note for note, i would love to hear a JB version of it
Yes, this was Freddie note for note, at least EC put his own stamp on it. Well played though.
and if he had played it differently, there would be other people bitching about that, too. can't please everyone.
Is this guy blind ? I never heard of this player before. He's so so ...
His eyes are sensitive to the bright lights so he always wears sunglasses during performances.
This is so bad. Heartless playing ... When one is used to listening Freddie, B.B., Albert King and Collins, Lightnin'... Elmore ... this kid sounds so mechanical it's heartbreaking. No thanks
I give this strange unknown player a 4 / 10. Yes i'm generous !
you know not of what you speak. he is excellent.
@@Hal-k8p excellent and useless.
Why on Earth it is so overdriven? Doesn't have to be hard at all...
Doesn’t need horn section
but he has one. get over it.
This version is ok. The best version is still from Jeff Healey th-cam.com/video/e0KKn3N2FyM/w-d-xo.html
horrible!!!!!!
No he is boring
nope
No finesse...
Fantastic
