AND... he decides to just drop it into the middle of a song, while doing insane techniques immediately before and after. Doing the impossible and making it look easy speaks to the incredible level of this artist.

Have you ever heard someone and wondered if they have both lungs and gills so they can go forever and still get air somehow? I mean I know it's probably impolite to ask someone if they have both gills and lungs or have an extra oxygen tank feeding them air from somewhere but honestly it makes you wonder sometimes.
Okay, so technique. Anyone says the technique shown on this was inferior needs professional help, possibly including the white coat with extra long sleeves that tie in the back.
Stage presence. Just how. The connection he forges to a song and audience exceeds the abilities of pretty much everyone I've ever heard before. The musicians were looking at him like "I know we practised this but DAMN SKIPPY" or thoughts to that effect.
You had a great reaction Tyra. Thanks. I know it's on your list but "Across Endless Dimensions" from Dimash (from the soundtrack of Creators: The Past) may be another to consider. Being a gentleman I will warn you about that one. It is in English though I find subtitles help. The visuals are stunning. Song wise it's Dimash.

The yodel was a tribute dirge to the original singer of this song, who died tragically. The band is the original band that made this song popular, and Dimash doing this in concert revitalized the band's popularity. The piano player wrote this song. Dimash is the definition of a class act.

    • @staskim2331

Dimash's vocal dexterity is a once in a lifetime experience. Here, he goes from an Arabic type of Ululation (aka as Zaghareet), then somehow reached the Mount Everest of the song before tumbling downward without faltering in a 25 second vocal run without taking a single breath!!!

      @TyraThompsonOfficial  4 ปีที่แล้ว +9

I agree that he is using “glottal stop” to make that happen. However the effect that it creates is an insanely fast flipping and fluttering sound. I hope that clarifies what I meant by that. I was just too shook and caught off guard to formulate proper words 😂
Regardless, thank you for pointing that out! He truly is the best!

@@TyraThompsonOfficial я пишу это тем, кто связан с музыкой. Когда песня только появилась, профессионалы спорили, какую технику он применил. В споре решили, что это "горловое пение", один из его видов.
I write this to those who are connected with music. When the song first appeared, professionals debated what technique he used. In the dispute, it was decided that this is "throat singing", one of its types.
Almost everyone knows what "yodel" is, but not everyone knows "throat singing". If they do, it's usually the Eastern type. But throat singing is much more. There are a lot of different sounds. They sing everywhere-in Africa, in Europe, in America, of course in Asia. I'm not sure about Australia =) and the singing is very different. For example, in Russia I have heard the Northern peoples (Chukchi, Yakuts), they sing completely different than in the South. But the same as in Canada =) In General, this is a very broad topic, a whole layer of folk art. I will give you two links, one most similar to what Dimash did, the other Northern singing from the channel dedicated to throat singing.

The man with the white shirt in the audience who stood up at the end of the performance is Igor Krutoy, the most successful producer in the world. After watching Dimash he came out of retirement to produce songs for him, and even played the piano during some of his future performances. He did the same for Lara Fabian, another legendary singer and one of Dimash's idols. When you see him at the piano, that piano player is worth over $30 Billion.

BTW, the highest note he hit here was an E6, but the highest note he ever hit was a D8 (with vibrato), off the piano keyboard - that's what you call whistle tone.
If you need to recover from this and watch Dimash having fun using his voice (and stage presence) to drive the crowd crazy, take Opera 2 as your next choice.

To paraphrase a Carpenter's song, you've only just begun. I'd suggest Opera 2 next, for a little bit of lighthearted fun.

Hey Tyra 🙋‍♂️🤗. Thanks for the reaction. You are such a cute being to watch haha. But guess what... yeah... Sinful Passion is great....but you know how we say with Dimash...its not even his best again hahahaha. Let me recommend you few other performances of The D that will knock you down gently 😄. "Ogni Pietra" (FANCAM version, where you will get a closeup on his face all the time and see all techniques. Also this performance is in classical mode covering 4 singing ranges (bariton, tenor, mezzo and high soprano). "Daybreak" vocal diversity there is upscale. Duet "Drunken Concubine+Diva dance" here you will see Dimash's F7 and your brain will run away from you 😆. Enjoy

Great reaction! You are 100% correct at 7:45 and it is extremely impressive. If an actual angel came down to earth to perform this is what it sounds like. His skill is at the level of the all time greats. He has mastered his craft since a young child and God gifted him with a perfect instrument to work with. I've never witnessed better. He sings to your soul. You can't help but be a DEAR.

The guy in the white shirt standing at the end is Igor Krutoy is a very famous Russian composer who came out of semi retirement to work with D. He’s since written some masterpieces for D and often accompanies him on the piano. These performances are a must see for you. ♥️😍♥️

Hello, I’m from Brazil! The story behind this song is very interesting: The band that accompanies Dimash is the same one that composed the song, without the singer who died after a heart attack! The band is also from Kazakhstan and this performance by Dimash revitalized the song. In addition, the final part he added, with an oriental technique (traditional cazaq singing). Is a funeral lament, paying homage to the dead vocalist? Brilliant! The song was originally performed in 1998 and the band's name is A'Studio. The dead singer left the band in 2000 and passed away in 2015 and his name was Batyrkhan Shukenov. The lyrics are by the poet Ilia Reznik together with Baigaly Serkebyev, who is the keyboardist with long hair, which we see in the video accompanying Dimash.

It will blow your mind - well, the part of your mind that hasn’t exploded from listening to his previous performances - but watch the extended one where his father surprises him by showing up. If that doesn’t make you cry, nothing will! Greetings from Florida.

Vocal version of the Lidian way. The Lidian way is one of the natural musical ways. They have been known since ancient times. They were widely used in Ancient Rome and Ancient Greece. In the 7th century B.C. no Kazakhs even smelled. The territory of modern Kazakhstan was inhabited by Scythians. They didn't even have their own writing.

@@tagerdt I cannot wait. My sources: Archeology, books and A DNA TEST.
Jeannine Davis-Kimball was born November 23, 1929 in Driggs, Idaho.
In 1972, she studied at the Autonomous University of Madrid in Spain. She graduated from California State University, Northridge in 1978 with a Bachelor of Arts degree and earned a Ph.D. in 1988 from the University of California, Berkeley. As a result of her work on her doctoral thesis, she moved to Central Asia in 1985 to study nomads. She became known above all for her research of the "Amazon tombs" in Southern Russia. In the 1990s, Davis-Kimball and her Russian archeology colleague, Leonid Jablonski, found in southern Russia and Ukraine numerous tombs (kurgans) of Scythian or Sarmatian women who had been buried along with weapons and armor. An important locality is a necropolis at Pokrovka.
Davis-Kimball explored areas where there are still women participating in active nomadic culture who shoot with bows and ride regularly. She discovered in Western Mongolia, which is inhabited mainly by Kazakhs, the sought-after genetic traits in women. The nomadic women of this area were experienced archers and riders; their equipment and their jewelry resembled the finds discovered by Davis Kimball in the kurgan. This was the reason she was looking for "living proof of the Amazons" in this region. She came across a blonde Kazakh girl named Maryemgül who was already a very good rider at the age of nine. Due to the deviating from the other members of the tribe's phenotype (blond, Central Asian features) of the girl, Davis-Kimball assumed that they have found a descendant of the "Amazon women". The black-haired mother of the girl also said that every now and then, blonde girls were born in their family and in the surrounding area. To prove their assumptions, Davis-Kimball and Joachim Burger had a genetic test done. They were able to prove that the genetics of the Kazakh girl were almost 100 percent consistent with the genetic profile of the "Amazon women" discovered in kurgans.
