This has been my edc for years now. Never leave home without it. Almost had it confiscated at concerts a couple times. (Had to go back to the car and leave it there) if they changed it to a diamond file on one side and steel/wood file on the other would be a amazing upgrade and adding a spot for a straight pin. Also an upgrade option for a better blade steel would be good. The knife is not very good for holding a edge, but it does sharpen easily.
I just changed to the Leatherman Arc as my main EDC. I unfortunately got my T4 Free confiscated at the airport recently. I forgot it was in my backpack and I didn’t have time to go back to my car. I was super bummed.
Every SAK I have ever owned (except lost ones) has shed the red plastic grips one side or both. I have therefore been looking for an alternative so just bought one of these after days going through reviews.
Make sure not to run it through water. Mine fell into some mud. Left it unclean for about a week and rust started to build up inside. I had to take it all apart to clean the rust and lube the joints. Still working fine one handed. A little tricky for a first attempt to take it apart and clean, but after a few times doing it, it's like clockworks and quite easy. Wonderful tool to use.
Yes good points. When I have to clean mine, I use soap and water really good all over where I can access it. Then I use compressed air to ensure I blow all the water out from any hard to reach spots that need to be dried.
Im a huge fan of the free series, i found the k4x is a better fit for my pocket. Far larger blade with a gravity deploy and has the rools i use the most often on the t4(i own both)
Might just be the unicorn “tiny EDC” with LOCKING tools I’ve been looking for! Would like a can opener, as well, but I have other EDC items with the can opener, so I’ll get by. 😅. TFS ☮️
@@scottmckenna I'd like to remove it since it only ads bulk to the tool and looks horrible besides being useless. The tool feels and looks miles better without it.
@@scottmckenna I carry it in my EDC bag, or in my small backpack that comes with me everywhere. Maybe in winter I'll switch back to clip and belt, will see :)
I have used this knife every day for over 3 years. All the tools are great, and can be opened comfortably with one hand. Except for the blade itself, which is more difficult to open. The blade is made of 420HC steel, which does not have acceptable durability. For a knife in this price range, I would expect a higher quality steel choice than the basic knife steel for the cheapest knives. I am able to sharpen the blade to make it shave, but after a few cuts into the wood it is no longer sharp enough. The blade really didn't work out for leatherman. I can only hope that in the future leatherman will use better quality material for the blade of this knife.

I lost my leatherman wave like that. It was the old wave, so i just bought a new one but it was so sad
Just ordered mine last night. Lunar color. Can't wait
You’ll love it.

Awesome. Let me know what you think.

I carry a Leatherman Squirt PS4. It's tiny and I love it.
They make lots of great tools for sure.
They make brass/copper & titanium scales if u wanna spice it up! I love mine. I’d never give it up.
Would you mind to share links to those scales? Thanks in advance!
that's cool I had no idea

Ok bought it
Yesss haha. It’s the best.
Could have zoomed in on the knife…
I'll try better next time.
@@scottmckenna no worries, I'll be there to watch :)
Hello; is the belt clip removable?, thanks a lot in advance.
I imagine so, but I’m not sure. Not sure why why you would want to remove it?
@@scottmckenna I just removed it (easy). I never use the clip, and now the tool looks and feels way better. You need an uncommon tip, however.
@PabloRenaud Interesting that you don’t use the clip. How do you keep it on you? Just in your pocket?

now im curious what your CC of choice is...👀
P365X
Ah, my nemesis the T4. Glad you like it though. If I were right handed and not an unashamedly bias SAK fan, I might fall victim to your mind meld. 😆😜
Lol. What didn’t you like about it?
The wingman isn't a bad tool for edc and not that big to be fair
I switched to the Leatherman ARC as my everyday carry.
Absolutely great, unless the law in your country disallows locking blades. Thank goodness for Victorinox.
The Knife can be hard to open
Yea. I recently switched to the Leatherman ARC for my every day carry. I love the thumb tab for opening the knife easily.
@@scottmckenna oh, that's very interesting. I'm trying to find EXCUSES not tu but the ARC ;)
too late ;)

Only warranty work I’ve ever had to do was chipping a set of cutters on a curl. Which was entirely my own fault.
This dude really loves his screwdrivers😂
They are convenient.
@@scottmckenna Indeed they are. After much contemplations, I think the Victorinox Handyman is sexier and more cost-effective. Have you compared them?
Victorinox Super Tinker =The Best!!!
If it only would have harmonica in it.
Nothing a good victorinox does not have, and in a more compact package.
Awesome. Then buy that.
Pocket clip. Locking tools.
Does it have locking tools, one hand operations and a durable scale?
