As an immigrant in Canada, someone whose family (a white family, to be fair) moved to Canada to be away from a corrupt political system, I genuinely cannot even begin to state how deeply I feel right now for Americans. I cannot see any world in which this had a reason not to be staged, and I think your video put this far more in far better words than I ever could have. One thing in particular that I can't get over is the fact that the sh00ter either agreed to be a part of this on behalf of Trump (as a registered Republican) or was chosen by Trump's people to be the fall guy outside of his own will. The former admittedly scares me more than the latter, but in either case, this is seriously messed up, and I never thought I'd live to see the day this sort of thing happened to my neighbouring people. Like, I've been scared about the state of American for years now, but this was such a violent decent into fascism that I have taken the past week to seriously digest this news, and I don't think I've managed to fully let it sink in yet.

I also consider myself an anarchist, but I wouldn't say that's a reason to not vote. There's always a gap between ideology and praxis. If you care about making political change a reality, the only way to do that is to work from within the real world. And voting is how democracies are meant to make political change a reality. Our democracy isn't perfect, and individual votes don't weigh a whole lot, but you have to remember the reason *why* Republicans like Trump are so hell-bent on suppressing voting rights. Because if a whole bunch of "non-voters" like you suddenly turn out this election to vote against him, that will be a big fucking deal.

@@PrinceShakurTH-cam It's true that, regardless of the outcome of this election, America will continue to be a white supremacist, colonialist state and individually voting can't really change that, at least with the candidates there are right now. That's what I mean about ideology versus praxis. Ideologically, we want a United States government that is no longer beholden to the private interests of imperialism. But where we're at right now, that kind of revolution is a very far way away. Given what's at stake, there are some times when even the most radical progressives need to stand up to defend the status quo for its own sake, I think.

Gentile and Mussolini, who both made the ideology, were open Socialists who were angry that Marxist Socialists (aka Communists) were taking over the Italian Socialist Party. The experts, it seems, are on my side. But I doubt you're arguing in good faith anyway.

As an immigrant in Canada, someone whose family (a white family, to be fair) moved to Canada to be away from a corrupt political system, I genuinely cannot even begin to state how deeply I feel right now for Americans. I cannot see any world in which this had a reason not to be staged, and I think your video put this far more in far better words than I ever could have. One thing in particular that I can't get over is the fact that the sh00ter either agreed to be a part of this on behalf of Trump (as a registered Republican) or was chosen by Trump's people to be the fall guy outside of his own will. The former admittedly scares me more than the latter, but in either case, this is seriously messed up, and I never thought I'd live to see the day this sort of thing happened to my neighbouring people. Like, I've been scared about the state of American for years now, but this was such a violent decent into fascism that I have taken the past week to seriously digest this news, and I don't think I've managed to fully let it sink in yet.

I also consider myself an anarchist, but I wouldn't say that's a reason to not vote. There's always a gap between ideology and praxis. If you care about making political change a reality, the only way to do that is to work from within the real world.
And voting is how democracies are meant to make political change a reality. Our democracy isn't perfect, and individual votes don't weigh a whole lot, but you have to remember the reason *why* Republicans like Trump are so hell-bent on suppressing voting rights. Because if a whole bunch of "non-voters" like you suddenly turn out this election to vote against him, that will be a big fucking deal.

But where we're at right now, that kind of revolution is a very far way away. Given what's at stake, there are some times when even the most radical progressives need to stand up to defend the status quo for its own sake, I think.
