The genius in Drive is the simplicity. Wonderful memories of his father and with his daughters. Those are his actual children. I loved your smiles. I dare anyone to listen to it without smiling. Alan Jackson is a country legend and incredible songwriter. He has many songs that are more famous than Drive like Remember When and Where Were You. They are obviously emotional songs. Drive is less known, but it moves me more. I'm sure my father dying when I was 5 has something to do with it.
Knowing Alan Jackson and his life story, I have no doubt that every word of this song is true. You guys are so lucky to have your lives ahead of you and have a chance to make wholesome, lasting and exciting memories with your children. Bless you.
My favorite songs by the icon Alan Jackson are Remember When, Livin’ on Love, Where Were You, Small Town Southern Man, I’ll Try, Here in the Real World, Drive, She’s Got the Rhythm, The Older I Get, So You Don't Have to Love Me Anymore, Monday Morning Church, and I Can't Do That Anymore (recorded by Faith Hill).
I’m so glad you took the time to listen to this one. While big vacations and trips are fun and memorable - many times it’s doing fun little things like driving an old truck with your dad that sticks with us the longest. ❤
Not enough have reacted to this song it’s absolutely my favorite country probably being one of first I heard but my family blasts this at camp dancing and having a good time
Alan Jackson and George Jones (the old man from the Aaron Lewis reaction) are on my personal Mount Rushmore of favorite artists. Both have a huge catalog.. Alan was my first favorite artists since the mid 90's, when I was about 4 years old.
Just the other day, I ran to Walmart to pick something up, and my 5 year old was with me. We were getting back in the car, and he jumped in the driver's seat. I told him to get back in his car seat and buckle up, but he was being stubborn. I got into the driver's seat and put him on my lap and started up the car, and he asked what we were doing. I got to set up facing down one of the Isles far enough back where there wasn't anybody parked and I told him to take the wheel and I slowly accelerated in coached him through turning us at the end of the parking lot and into another aisle and then into a parking spot. He was so excited and proud of himself. There's really not a good way to explain it. Something simple like that put him over the moon. I know, probably not legal, and I probably shouldn't admit it in a comment like this, but I just figured I would share the story. You have to make memories.
His songs always make me emotional. I love his music. So good. A song called stroll over heaven is a good one. It's my mom's favorite song. It's beautiful.

Alan is one of my favorite country singers. A great song about his life is called "Home"

It's not about the drive, it's about fathers being daddies.

What a perfect song to play while she’s soundly sleeping on your chest, without a care in the world. ❤❤❤
My favorite!
if George Strait is the king of country music, Alan Jackson is the Hand of the King!
if you like dad songs try "the Dollar" by Jamie Jhonson
Who’s cutting onions.
