Wow! Thanks very much, really appreciate it! I wanted to give more of an overview than go into all the technicalities, as there's already so many out there. Thanks again!
Best review of the 900 so far. Really professionally done, good work. 👌 I enjoyed the detailed shots the most. Finally, I saw the new xsr in every detail.
I cannot take credit for the riding footage, it was done by the pro videography team while we were riding! But I tried to select the best shots I could to describe show every aspect of the bike ✌️thanks a lot, I'm glad you liked it!
Nice review Matt, nice bike to. I have the 700 as I prefer the no nonsense approach of the 700, plus I can get in trouble easy enough on her without the extra horses 🤣🤣
Haha yeah I still love my 700, although there's definitely a few features I'm going to miss from the 9. And yes, it would be faar too easy to get in trouble!! 😂
So, I've watched every dang review and like 6 from the italy event and this is by far the best one yet. I'm subbed for sure. I put in my order for one a week ago but god knows how long I'll be waiting. Again, really enjoying the content thank you!
I prefer the XSR700 I think it has that timeless quality of great design and the gas tank looks better. Its a great looking bike nice video - cool love it
Can't believe its just 10kg lighter than the 700. I like the bike but I don't see any use of the extra power and tech. The black color looks like a killer while th blue takes homage to the old model. Nice review Ballamoto. Haven't heard you for a while in the group. Hope yamaha makes a retro version of the T7!
Fortunately the Yamaha team had some pros doing the footage! It's not massive, but I am pretty short! Felt comfy enough though. The tank is definitely heftier than the 700, but the seat height is perfect for me, so I can touch the floor both sides. All in all, looks big, but felt nice 🤙
For me, it's a sports touring bike without the fairings. I had z1000sx and test-ride this bike recently, and the seating position is so similar. If anyone worries about the power, just put it to mode 4 power and enjoy. Nice shots. The only what I don't like about this bike is the turning radius. But the overall look is amazing
Will never understand why people complain about the turning radius. Who really uses the full lock regularly unless you are stopped. Even if you are its low enough to the ground to manoeuvre easily.
Would the riding mode 1 of the XRS900 be good to start riding as a beginner? I'm considering to buy the XSR700, but I really love the style of 900. I'm struggling to make a decision. Please help.
It does indeed! One thing I was really impressed with actually, much like the 700. Which just makes it so easy to ride on any roads at any speed in pretty much any gear! 😂
Thanks for replying. That low-down shove is so important. I have an SCR950. A bit heavy but so much more impressive than the specs suggest. Nick J@@ballamoto
I didn't feel too much of a clunk if I'm honest, but then coming from the 700 where its very noticeable without a slipper clutch, maybe I just didn't notice it much!
They should of offered it in British Racing Green and Gold. Everyone should get a Tenere 700 and XSR 900 - That way you are ready for every style of ridding.
I do see what you're saying, but they haven't really 'lost' the twin, as the 900 has always been built on the triple platform. I think the Xsr900 is more about retro looks with a sporty engine, which the triple delivers a bit better than a twin. That being said, I agree with you that I prefer the character from the 700 twin!
Not to everyone's taste! They do have normal mirror mount points too for other styles. Indicators are in an interesting location.. 😂 Thanks a lot! Appreciate it 🙏
that headlight looks fucking ridiculous it looks like its held on with mecano and the actual shape of it is like something you'd find in the guttering section of B&Q. however it does look alright in black strangely. still, its a hanging looking thing in terms of design language for 2022.
that drone shot @2:40 is truly EPIC.
Thanks, man! On the day. of the shoot, the producer was really pleased as well 😁
this is by far the best review of the XSR900 I have watched and I have viewed most of the available reviews of this machine.
Wow! Thanks very much, really appreciate it!

Best review over all who reviewed the xsr 900. We like to see the bike, the looks and the footage from different angles. And you gave it perfectly.
Thanks a lot! 🙏👍
This is unique. All reviews from Italy are the same. Good job. Thanks.
Thank you!

This is a seriously professional review
Thanks a lot!
Excellent quality review, with great footage, sound, everything, great job. 👍👍 Awesome bike too.
Good video! Love the background music totally fits this retro bike review.
Thanks!
You're welcome.
I have a 2023 XSR 900 on order will be here in September can't wait to ride this awesome bike!

Thanks a lot mate, really appreciate that! Hope you love the bike. What an absolute beast!
The camera technique is stunning!
Thanks! Can't take credit for the rolling shots though, that was courtly of the Yamaha film crew 😁👍
thank you for the footage 👍
Great overview man nicely done!
Thank you! Appreciate it!

Yeah I think I agree, I do prefer the looks of the 700. It's more "retro", whereas the 900 is pretty sporty looking.
Awesome review man 👏
Thanks mate!
I’ve been back and forth but I think I’m going for the 700 first. Then down the line I can upgrade when I want more power.
wow, this view is amazing.

#1 your biggest fan 😬😘
Haha thanks mate! 😁👍
exceptional footage of up close while riding, instead of the ubiquitous "bird's eye view" I see these days.
But the bike looks a bit big on you 🤔
Fortunately the Yamaha team had some pros doing the footage!

Impressive review young man!👋😎👍
Thank you very much! 🙏👍
@@ballamoto how long before you trade up?!😏👍
@@amjrpain919 that's a tough one! Still in love with my 700, but damn it feels slow now! 😂
@@ballamoto resisting that CP3 is going to be tough! It's a great engine in an evidently good affordable bike... Good luck with that!
So will you end up buying one? Im looking forward to the mods in that case.
Excellent review. Does the 900 pull from low down the rev range as well as the 700? Nick J
It does indeed! One thing I was really impressed with actually, much like the 700.

awesome review.
Do you still think that you'll never sell your 700? 😏
Very nice video...thanks
Hi, I'm a little over 5'6" in height, do you think the bike will be okay for someone as tall as I am?
What's your inseam?
Mine was delivered today. Great bike. The clunk sound to the first gear annoying though. Is this also normal to a bike with advance technologies?
I didn't feel too much of a clunk if I'm honest, but then coming from the 700 where its very noticeable without a slipper clutch, maybe I just didn't notice it much!
They should of offered it in British Racing Green and Gold. Everyone should get a Tenere 700 and XSR 900 - That way you are ready for every style of ridding.
The only major flaw with this bike is the smallish gas tank (only 3.7 gallons), which is the same as the XSR 700.
Only thing left - to wait a year or so to be able to get it. 🤷🏼♂️
Maybe 2 years 😆 🤣
What was the bike at 0.37secs?
I'm not sure, possibly a modified XJR 🤔
To cramped for a 6’4 rider ?
The seat height may be a little low, but you'd be better off seeking out a taller reviewer and asking them!
Still waiting for a custom seat without that silly hump😃
I think there's one reason you would get the 900. You like power but don't like the look of modern bikes and it's a good price.
Well now I want to sell my xsr700 for this
😂 It's tempting isn't it!
Great review. To me they just ruin it losing the twin. All the tonal character is lost, and no airbox is going to recoup it.
I do see what you're saying, but they haven't really 'lost' the twin, as the 900 has always been built on the triple platform. I think the Xsr900 is more about retro looks with a sporty engine, which the triple delivers a bit better than a twin.

I know what you are saying they replaced previous triple to another triple
:)
I hate the mirrors and indicators, LOL Nice video though
Not to everyone's taste! They do have normal mirror mount points too for other styles. Indicators are in an interesting location.. 😂

I love motorcycles but no one wants to hear your loud bike in the city.
