Actually the first $10k is the hardest. But if you can start with nothing and get to that point, you probably have what it takes to get to 100 once you get your game right.

And yes I agree. If you’ve developed the habit to reach the first $10k then you probably have what it takes to stick it out.

Interest rates offered between 2008-2022 were ultra low. S&p500 index would be better investment option.

Johnny, Is funny all my old co- workers like money. is only natural correct. they all work overtime 100 - 120 hrs a week for years / decades but they have no idea try to save $100 a month, forget a week! I used to educate / inform these people, but they rather spend $8.00 coffee bagel / $ 12.00 lunch daily / make $ 800 payment on lease BMW & they look at me like I'm crazy. LOL I never work O/T until my last 3 years on the job. imagine I would have work O/T last 10 years. my net asset would be even more.

Hello, the reason why compounding interest works is not only due to you putting in money but the ability of the company to grow. TSLA itself offers NO Dividends, and that factor is really crucial especially with compound interest. Spy offers dividened of at roughly 1% so every quarter you would get 1% dividend payment, and you could use that to bloster your compounding or just hold the dividend payment to buy when spy is a bit low if youre planning to time the market. TSLA is great stock don't get me wrong but volatility will cost you. If you want to hold Tsla, I'd say go for it.
