Dude, just as your video started I was like, "Wait a second... I think I know that street... Yes, I do! That's Timber Lane. I grew up in a house in Woodland CC about 1,500 ft from where you were filming. We sold the old family home back in 2009 and my parents bought it in 1965 so you can imagine the degree of appreciation in Carmel. Anyway, nice to see my old neighborhood in a random video. I had friends in many of those houses that you walked past. This area used to be called Jordan Woods, then Jordan Woodlands after Carmel expanded south to absorb it. If I were to move back to Indiana I would still target the north side suburbs regardless.
I grew up in Indiana. I remember in the 70's we used to call Indianapolis "Indy No place " because we drove from Anderson on I-69. It was nothing but cornfields all the way there. Good times, good memories 😊
What are the differences between Carmel and Westfield? I am thinking about moving to either one. I’m in my late 20’s, single, and wondering which area is best. I like how quiet Westfield is and it has a lot of nice houses. Thoughts?
Westfield and Carmel are both "relatively" quiet. It depends on what your definition of quiet is. They both have areas you can get away from traffic and noise. There's more to do for a 20-something in Carmel but it doesn't mean you can't go to Carmel if you live in Westfield. They are right next to one another and it's easy to travel between the two.
Hubby and I are looking to moving to Indianapolis or surrounding areas possibly by next June hopefully sooner I will def be saving your contact information!
Living in Harpers Ferry, WV and homes/land is pricey. IN is definitely cheaper! Which area do you recommend for 50 age group and kids are grown and flown? Also, budget is between 400-450k. Smaller rancher and a little land, preferably.
Hey! My husband and I are moving to IN in a couple of months with our daughter, we have never been there before. Our goal is to own a home in the next 5 years and we are currently looking to rent at oak park apartments south of IN (doesnt have the best reviews but the price and sq footage is right for now as we continue saving). I know its not considered one of the best areas to live down there (and it would only be 5 years or less anyways), but how is that part of town considered? Would love to get lucky renting a nice, cheap house but worry that might be competitive to get or something and apartments seems more cut and dry. Thank you.
I bought a house in Fishers in Dec 2016 that was only $162k because it had an old roof and HVAC. I bought it, fixed it up and it’s worth around $290 right now. I really bought at almost the perfect time…my mortgage is only $1000 and that’s includes property taxes and insurance. I may be mistaken but I believe my house would rent for $1700 right now. It’s crazy how expensive the rental market is…
I remember 2100 sq foot brand new homes in noblesville with very low interest that were only going for 140-150K dollars in 2015, those same homes are now 300K dollars!!

Hi Jason, could you name the street you were walking on?
