My first crush. Beautiful, adorable, charming, sexy, witty, cute, off-the-charts feminine, ... If this woman doesn't do it for you, you're playing for the wrong team.
Leave a few words of praise for others to use, you listed all the ones that come to mind when I see her.I love her, too, who wouldn't? Just joking, I'm so glad that in this fickle world so many still have Teri in their hearts.❤❤❤
So sweet. As a performer myself, I sense that she might have been nervous and suspect that she might have been embarrassed by this performance when she did it - but it was good. I hope she watched it later and saw her charm. The crowd obviously loved her. We all loved her.
I love Teri. She was such a beautiful and talented woman. But this monologue that was written for her... 😶😶😶 Only her bubbly charm and personality could pull off something so bad. And yes... the people always loved her. RIP Teri
I've watched videos of appearances on Letterman and Carson dating back to the late '80s where she struggles to navigate a step on stage. I'm thinking she was exhibiting MS symptoms as long ago as then.
RIP Teri Garr (1944 - 2024). Gorgeous, talented, funny. We will miss you. She joins her Young Frankenstein co-cast - Marty Feldman, Cloris Leachman, Gene Wilder . Such a talented group in the funniest movie of all time.
2 fun facts about our dear Ms. Garr: 1) She was the voice of Terry's mom on BATMAN BEYOND. 2) If you check out the T.A.M.I. Show from 1964, the Supremes performed a couple of their hits. As they sing WHERE DID OUR LOVE GO?, watch as several dancers pass by the group. The blonde dancer with a bullseye shirt? That's Teri Garr!
Only Teri Garr could take something like that and almost make it work. She must have been truly fearless, as well as ridiculously talented. (and hard-working) And even though she's older and heavier here, she's still lovely and beautiful. I hope she's not doing too badly these days.
RIP One of the all time great comedic actresses. She was warm, pretty, funny, and was the girl next door. She was fantastic in Young Frankenstein. One of a kind. 🌻
@MCV1105V Oh, OK. That'd be one year after Tootsie. One year after she started noticing tingling sensations in her limbs. She was already in the very early stages of MS by the time this video was shot. It'd take another 16 years before any doctor gave her the correct diagnosis.
I remember watching this particular episode of SNL when it originally aired.i even remember the cold open when she played a cheerleader.and another skit on that same show where she played an actress shooting a coffee commercial where she had to do take after take after take and everything went horribly wrong.that skit was funny as hell I never laugh so hard like that at the time.you have to find that skit with Terri and upload it A.S.A.P.
Amazing. Here we see an idea for a monologue -- the Haven't-We-Met? bit -- that must have cracked them up in the writer's room but doesn't gel at all in live performance. The monologue is DOA, but by the sheer force of Teri Garrness, just because it's her, nobody minds. Here's to you.
Teri Garr was deifintely Gorgeous in her Prime. The Role I remembr most of all was in the TOS Star Trek Episode Gary Seven. That episode was meant as a Spin off Series which it should have been. I think that episode inspired other Movie, Books and Series.
I first saw Teri Garr when she played the Princess on the Faerie Tale Theatre episode, "The Frog Princess" opposite Robin Williams. I have enjoyed every performance I have seen of her's. To me, she was always the personification of what a real woman is, as opposed to an overgrown little girl with an attitude.
Every 10 years like clockwork, a fresh crop of aging viewers agrees to post the cliched comment “SNL was so much better in the XYZ era - it’s not funny anymore!”.
Gary Seven's secretary is a sweetheart. Terri Garr was a guest star on That Girl. It was the episode where Ann Marie's toe was stuck in a bowling ball. You can hear Summer Samba/So Nice on the soundtrack.
R.I.P. She was such a lovely person and a great actress!!!
RIP ❤
Rip, sister!🎉etheral heartbroken.😢
Agreed, so funny in so many of her movies,...great artist - rest easy Teri - you did well.
The whole world will miss you, Ms. Garr. I had a decades-long crush on you since the 60's. You were the most natural person ever. 😓
Always GORGEOUS! RIP Teri
Such a delightful heart warming person! She will be sorely missed.😢

@@MarceloRomero360 She's been retired for nearly 20 years due to having Multiple Sclerosis. She's confined to a wheelchair.

Unfortunately, she said some nasty things about Gene Wilder.
ADORABLE!!!

What a comedic treasure she was! Rest in peace, Teri. Shawn R., Mo-Mutt Music/Sacred & Secular
She had a quality of being genuine, sweet, cute, lighthearted, unpretentious like no other actress. She was real, no artificial anything.
Such a delightful woman!

November 1983 … the early days of my senior year in high school. Where does the time go? RIP Teri Garr.
Are you sure this was Nov 83?
@ Yes, November 12, 1983, to be exact!
@MCV1105V Oh, OK. That'd be one year after Tootsie. One year after she started noticing tingling sensations in her limbs. She was already in the very early stages of MS by the time this video was shot. It'd take another 16 years before any doctor gave her the correct diagnosis.
I was a high school sophomore, and this SNL show was aired on NBC 5 days before I turned 16 years of age

Dude, this tanked. This was so cringe! I was embarrassed for her. Poor thing.
@@anti-ethniccleansing465 thank you!! This was a poor attempt to keep her relevant and failed.
Always the first person I think of when discussing the most beautiful movie stars.

Teri looks like a real woman in this appearance.

My first thought was that is Miss Lincoln Gary Seven's secretary
Someone should have yelled, "Gary 7!"
What a woman. Total hottie.

She was Phoebe before Phoebe (Friends)
The original manic pixie dream girl
Hey, where's the canned laughter? It almost seems like this is filmed with a live, unprompted audience.
It was. Lol. That’s how they did it back then
Right?! That’s why there is minimal laughing. This was not landing at all lol.
