I work as a traffic controller. Different country. Same thing. Every day. But I honestly do not understand her issue. I have seen many, many police officers handle traffic much better. I have had a few stop at a blacked out intersection, then seamlessly take over and do the job of 6 to 8 traffic controllers for 4 hours while there was a demonstration happening near our location. We were required to be there for reasons, but essentially stood around while one cop spent four hours with just a whistle and hand movements directing heavy downtown traffic. Controlling a 4 way intersection in the middle of the city by yourself is no joke. It usually takes a minimum of 4 tcps and one or two lct's to do the same.
I could relate to this lady real well. Back when I worked for Walmart, our service desk was literally right up front with a BIG 'OL SIGN right above it, you couldn't miss it. The first thing the guy did was jump out asking why I stopped, as the last of the 3 fire trucks was just passing through the intersection.... Like DUH, big red trucks, lights and sirens going...🙄

I learned one thing about Wisconsin watching this video. If you shut down one road everyone immediately puts their heads up their rear end and doesnt know what to do lol
This happened to me. I was on a road that had 6 foot ditches on each side and no driveways, just farm fields. It was the first day of snow in Buffalo NY and I saw 2 sets of headlights coming at me. This 18 yr old driving his dad's company's suv had (4) 14 yr olds in the car. He was passing a car almost the entire way down the road. I was 1/4 mile away from home and knew I was going to get hurt. I had enough time to call my dad and say "new road" and that's when I got hit. While i made fun of my dad for never letting the phone ring more than once b4 he picked up, i was very happy at that moment because it allowed him to know where i was. I'm short so I sit pretty close to the steering wheel. This asshole hit me head on. I was pissed because u had over 1/2 a mile to get in front of him but he was just driving next to the person and didn't slow down when he got close. The steering wheel crushed my ribs and I remember feeling like I had just lost all oxygen and then I got knocked out. I woke up to what I thought was snow Dripping on me which turned out to be blood from my head, 2 popped out knees, having a hard time breathing and a man outside my car on his knees praying.my car was upside down in the ditch. I thought I was dead cause I was so out of it and just heard some man talking to God. My dad arrived first with my sister and couldn't get to me cause the car was so damaged. The firefighters broke the glass all over me and I remember them fighting with eachother about the glass landing on me. The kid who hit me never even stepped out of his truck but his daddy who didn't want to get sued sent me a $200 vase with probably $200 worth of roses. Ur right, the worst part was knowing someone's going to hit u and there's nothing u can do but take it. It was a terrifying feeling and it messed me up so much that until I got married, I never allowed anyone to drive with me. I didn't want them getting hurt if an accident like that ever happened again. Now I'm a mom to 3 kids, one who will be getting a liscwnce in less than a yr and I've been teaching her about defensive driving as much as I can. For me it feels much scarier to drive nowadays because while road rage isn't new, it has definitely increased dramatically since I was a kid.
Yup! Rear-ended on the freeway while stopped in traffic. The car coming up behind me had two teens taking a selfie. I had enough time put both feet on my break and tell my 4 and 1 yo that I love them. The little Honda totaled my Dodge Journey. Luckily, my kids and are were just bruised and scared, and the teen girls were okay after emergency people helped them get out of the car.
I love the cutbacks to the woman directing traffic. The people trying to sneak past remind me of my grandpa. One time we were out and a firetruck was parked across 3/4 of 2 lanes clearly blocking off the road. He still tried to slip in and stopped in the road to confirm that there was a big fire up the way when the Fireman in the truck yelled at him not to go that way.

"Do you want me to try and go straight?" ... No, I want you to hover in the sky and make a sharp right turn. "Do you want me to go now?" ... No, I want you to go last Wednesday.
Yeah drivers are very "tunnel vision" and dont understand how to adapt to logical route re-direction. officers should be allowed to issue citations on the spot for people that do not want to comply. Or they want to rubber-neck the scene and impede traffic. cause MORE accidents.
I’ve never had that job and even I can relate. The flashing lights, collection of emergency vehicles and police on scene is a fairly obvious clue that the path ahead is not optimal. Most people would detour around traffic if not for the rubbernecking opportunity.
I have never had the job but had to do it recently after witnessing a crash that blocked one side of the road. I put it upon myself to direct traffic around the crash one side at a time (Single lane for both east and west traffic to use). I stopped one side to let the other side go and one driver tried going around me despite cars literally coming through from the opposite side; they had nowhere to go. Another driver started honking at me because I stopped them and they flapped their hands as if to say "what are you doing?!". As if it wasn't obvious... The crash and road blockage was clearly in sight. People are just dumb, it would frustrate me to have to do that regularly lol.
Yep. It’s like herding cats. It’s really fun when they say the only way they know how to go home is through the wreck scene and insist they be allowed to drive through even though there is total road blockage.
As a civilian witness to a midair aircraft collision and one aircraft that landed in the roadway, I was trying to get traffic to move. The rubberneckers coming to a complete stop to focus their cellphone cameras, couldn't care less they were blocking traffic and multiple emergency vehicles. I was eventually cursing at the imbeciles. I can 100% relate to the officer's frustration.
The female cop trying to direct traffic was the best part! Makes ya wonder how more people don't crash even when they're sober. I was frustrated for this cop. My cursives would probably been quite a bit louder though. Enough to get called to the bossman's office. Good thing I'm not a cop!
Seriously! All of the drivers that were so clueless! I literally FELT the Female LEOs pain of people being stupid! That drunk dude should never be able to drive again! That was too many "wrong" things smooshed into one hot mess!
That’s because they’ve got sensors that will turn the lights red when emergency - police are coming etc etc. should be a country wide thing which i believe in a vast majority of the country it is, at least if your areas traffic lights are modernized anyway.
Getting into a traffic collision isn’t usually a heroic deed but the officers in this case saved some poor citizen from getting into a head on accident by some drunken idiot. Every time I see an accident caused by someone fleeing from police or DUI/OWI it makes my blood boil.
Directing traffic on an incident that closes the road is by FAR the most frustrating thing i do as a police office. *Patrol car parked literally sideways in the road. Multiple firetrucks and an ambulance in the middle of the road. Me standing there with my hi vis vest on pointing which way to go.* *guy pulls up to me and leans out the window, making a gesture at the accident* "Can i go that way or?" Makes me want to scream

Ya.. Hospital employee here.... Let's just say, same shit different day and leave it at that
I work as a traffic controller.
Yet people still asked where the service desk was. Like bruh, turn your head 90 degrees to the left and you'll see it. It got so bad that management put out signs pointing towards it and they STILL asked. People are so fucking stupid

It is. I was in a similar accident with a drunk driver and I couldn’t get out of the way of the wrong way driver it was scary.

Anyone who has done traffic control can relate to that officer.
