I think Zwift should do a French version of 'Uber Pretzel' with Ven Top (Mont Ventoux) at the end. That would be tough and you could just 'create' it yourself without it being an 'official' route to select.
Jeremy here. It was an absolute joy being part of the tribe. Also, this vid is a great gift. You’ve tangentially documented a part of my life; I can watch it and remember those moments, and that’s really meaningful. Thank you for all you do.
Thats very kind of you to say Jeremy. You helped me a lot on this ride, I hope that came across. I'm very pleased you enjoyed it. 🙏🙌
Hey Ryan, it’s John here. I really enjoyed being part of your tribe. Thanks for a memorable ride. 😊
From Canada? 😅
ha ha. I let that slide. 😂 🇦🇺🦘🐨😉
Hey John. Two things... Thank you for your teamwork, it was alot of fun.
Sorry for getting your country wrong. 🙈
@@RyanCondon ha ha no worries mate. 👍😊
Hey John, Jeremy here. It was great riding with you! Thanks for the motivation.
Just got my first indoor trainer and had my first zwift ride today because of your content, love the vibes! Best of luck with everything and thanks for the inspiration.
@@KvA93 that's awesome! Good luck on Zwift. I hope you have a lot of fun. 🙏🙌
I completed this route on 1st Jan 2025.. Best start to any year I've ever had. I've never been a happier Zwifter, ever! I know we're only 1 month in but onward and upwards from here!!! Let's smash 2025, Ride On, everyone!!! 👍👍👍
Lets do this! 💪
I’ve been enjoying watching your videos on a night. One of your early videos on Alpe du Zwift got me geared up to go do it the next morning after only a few weeks zwifting. Keep it up
@@thedownshiftchannelI'm pleased you enjoy my vids, thank you.
Hey Ryan. Jakes here. It was great riding with you and the tribe that day. Unfortunately I ran out of time as it was close to midnight. The highlight for me was to discover your channel through the ride. Great content and production on all the video's . Keep up the good work!
Hey Jakes. Great to ride with you too. Thanks for commenting and for watching. 🙏🙌
Hi, I did this route 3 years ago and nothing would persuade me to do it again, ever. It was the last route remaining for me to complete the full set of route badges. I did it as a free ride solo and I can honestly say that it was excruciating. Well done to you for completing it. I've ridden several 100 milers IRL and this was way way worse.
Ride on Ryan.
Welldone for doing it Neil. Thats all that matters. 💪
Your fitness has come a long long way! HR was looking great despite the climbs and effort - great work!
@@vortexau Thank you. Yes I'm getting stronger and my endurance has improved. I enjoyed this challenge, it was worth doing it.
Chapeau! A fantastic achievement! 🔥
Thank you sir. ❤️
Just completed my first 7 kilometers (testing kms) on mywhoosh ... I've been toying with the idea of zwift/mywhoosh for a few years now and your videos (a month ago) made me jump in, thank you Ryan
Thats awesome. Did you decide on MyWhoosh or Zwift?
@@RyanCondon i would like to try both and mywhoosh was first only bcs its free :)
@johnhead4173 that makes sense. Let me know your first impressions. 👍
awesome effort !!! nice1 Ryan, music on point . 💪💪👍👍👏👏
@@JayB9137-abc Cheers Jay. 🙌
I just did Stage 4 - B last night for your de Zwift and it took me close to 2h30min. Just started again and being 114kg made it certainly exhausting. But it was always so enjoyable to see how good and strong the other riders were !
I find trying to keep up with better riders makes me a better rider. Ride On! 🙌
Awesome ride! I did PRL Full solo a few years ago on a day that London wasn’t open for free ride. It was so mental and even harder with no one around! I’ve been following your channel for ages, but rarely comment. I love your content and this video is great!
On another note, Katie K is one of my great friends and my zwift riding partner! She’s so awesome at encouraging and pushing me harder than I thought possible! Especially in the WTRL time trials!
Thank you Laurippt! I'm thrilled you decided to comment. :) Completing this solo on empty roads must have been tough. Congrats on getting it done! Yes, Katie was awesome and I loved riding with her, please tell tell her I said that. :))
@ I definitely will say hello to her. We will be racing this afternoon on the TTT
cracking ride mate. Thats a brutal climb and you smashed it. Well done!
@@HuddoThePaceline Thanks Huddo. 🙌💪
I did this last January in a race with about 30 starters(a lot less finished). Ended up riding the 2nd half solo off the front when others dropped (it was not by choice) and then having 2nd place gradually catching me towards the end so I had to push. I was in a very dark place for climbs 7-10! By far the hardest ride I have done on Zwift and I raced the pretzel the month before.
Finished in 5:20:59 which I was happy with but had ambitions for 5 hours before I knew how tough it would be!
If I’d known such a big group would be doing it a year later I would have waited!
Never again! 😆
Wow! Congratulations on your huge achievement. Thats awesome. 🙌
Massive effort Ryan! 💪🏻👍🏻 The Zwift community is amazing ❤. Great video/edit. "I'm not going to use my coffee breaks" says the man, standing beside his bike drinking coffee 😂😂
@@bjarnestrand-henriksen 🤣 IRL coffee is allowed. ✌️
Oof that gave me flashbacks, when I did it with Eric Barnett. Feels like a dream now, surreal. Congrats on getting it done. 👍
Cheers Alan and congrats on your achievement getting it done. :)
Been waiting for this 😅 💪👍
What a great video my wife and I both really enjoyed watching it while eating tea !!! But i had just done an Ftp builder 🤣 keep up the great work !!! And if missed my last comment a few weeks ago if you ever need somewhere to stop over in wales just hit me up we have plenty of space 😊 and Welsh hill IRL are fun !!!
Thank you Andrew and Mrs Andrew. I hope your FTP is monstrous now. 💪
And thanks for the offer, i really appreciate that. 🙌
Over 6 hours on the trainer. Bloody hell! Epic ride! Congrats on your achievement 🏆
Thank you. 💪
No Coffee Stops? 😮 Madness! But well done for that. 👏👏👏
I know. Unnecessary restrictions, self imposed seems ludicrous now. Lol.
Thanks Ryan. My Zwife Ride trainer is getting delivered tomorrow and I joined Zwift. Looking forward to completing some of these rides soon. I appreciate your content, especially your enthusiasm for the experience. I subscribed today.
Hey Bryan. Thats awesome, I hope you have fun. 🙌🙏
well done what a zwift session
Hi Ryan - love your videos. Your weight loss journey is inspiring (trying to do the same myself). I did the Uber Pretzel today. As a heavier rider, the alp at the end is just awful. I haven’t done the PRL full yet but I’m hoping the “breaks” on the downhill will help and thus it’s physically easier.
@@Benn321 Hey Benn. Congratulations on the Uber Pretzel, personally I think its harder than the PRL because of the Alpe but don't take my word for it. 😅
New to Zwift here. Would love to hear some route recommendations & good times for category D

great job , you and the Tribe for doing it , was also fun having you today in the Flat is Fast thingy
Lol... Todays race was an eye opener. 😅
Knew this video would be worth the wait! Fantastic performance Ryan. What a great example of zwift's community and support. Here's a challenge I just thought of for you. Ride up Alpe Du Zwift 21 days in a row, with each day representing one corner of the alpe. You could call it the Mega Alpe. I think you could smash it.
I like the creative aspect. Theres probably something in it as an idea.
Ryan! This is an unreal video. I stumbled across your videos a little over a year ago. You are an inspirational man mate. I’m an ex soldier battling pretty shithouse mentally and physically. I’ve been on Zwift since late 2021 and have a live hate relationship with it. I’ve been struggling with my weight. I’m about 115kg and would love to lose some to get down to around 100kg. Congrats on this effort bud. Well done mate.

What a great video. Very nice editing and storytelling. Thanks.
Thank you. 🙏🙌
Congrats! That is one physically and mentally tough ride. I considered that ride, but was not ready. Hoping to attempt the ride at the end of March or beginning of April.
I didnt think it was as mentally as tough as I was told it was. Dont get me wrong, its flipping hard going but if you do it with team mates, its somewhat enjoyable. Good luck.
This was bloody epic. Absolutely amazing work and what camaraderie. Viva Zwift, oh and you as well Ryan...😂
Lol thank you. 😅
Well done! The PRL is tough and you got the black 100mi jersey along the way! The confetti animation when Min's group passed you was a rider giving you a Ride On while they were wearing the level 100 confetti socks.
Is that what the confetti was?? I had no idea... And now I feel bad for calling it weird. The 100mi jersey is cool, wish it wasnt black though. I find i need bright colours for riding in the pack.
SUPERTUCK!!!! Great job Ryan!!! There are great groups to join for group rides or race leagues to race with.
Cheers Keith. 🙌
I really enjoyed this video. Very entertaining. Kudos on finishing
@@johnthebiker300 Thanks John. I'm pleased you enjoyed it. 👍
yeah, when you begin singing, you've reached delirium..And you're only 1/2 way at that point. And Tracy to the rescue! Best coffee ever, I'll bet. For what it's worth, I've always found bananas to be a great on-bike snack. Easy to digest, a little sugar, etc. Great job again, Ryan. Loved this video! Worth waiting for. 🙂
🤣 That coffee saved me from spiralling into madness. Thanks for watching. 🙌
Stellar Vid Ryan! good stuff! The crew that naturally formed was awesome, way to grind!

Awesome vid, Ryan! Entertaining and inspirational (as usual)! Love your content! You make Zwifting so much fun to watch on YT!!
I do try to. I love zwifting so I'm pleased it comes across in my vids. 🙌
You are insane... I envy your motivation! I'm B cat and didn't even think to try it... +3h on a trainer is too much for me. Even during shorter rides I have a hard (mental) time when I see +20km of flats.
Congratz!

Absolute belter of a video, Ryan. 👌 So cool to see the impromptu teamwork. Excellent group, working together.
That was the best bit. Riding with other like minded riders who just wanted to enjoy it. Makes a really nice change to all the racing.
When John dropped red numbers and dragged Joanne from over 30 seconds behind straight back to us, I could have screamed it was so awesome (I didnt because Im 44 and emotionally stunted but it was still awesome). As always, thanks for watching mate. X

Epic ride Ryan 👌
My bum hurts just thinking about going beyond 90 minutes on an indoor bike, so the idea of doing 6 hours+ seems totally insane to me 🤪 This, and many long routes on Zwift are never going to happen for me. I just don’t have that amount of free time sadly.
Great that so many people helped make it fun for you. I find it tough riding in a group. I always feel I’m holding people back and I end up putting too much effort in to try and appear that I’m “helping out” and die a thousands deaths🤣
Group riding is a skill but ultimately youve just got to be honest and tell them to push on if you need to slow. Time on the bike isnt that hard now with paractice. Thanks for watching. 🙏🙌
Great job Ryan, both on the ride and the report. I also did this event, but had a hard time finding the rythm of other riders/groups, so I did most of it myself. Having done The Über Pretzel a few days before, I agree that that is harder, even though it doesn’t take as long. I did, however, take it it pretty easy on the PRL, because of the fatigue from the Über Pretzel, and just rode it to finish, not to go fast. A ride is as hard as you make it, I guess…
I know what you mean. I found messaging in chat to those around to form a group worked occasionally on the flats but I always got dropped on the climb. I was lucky with those that I did end up with. Congrats on getting the Uber completed. Thats awesome. Welldone. 🙏🙌
@@RyanCondon Your dynamic and interaction with that crew is the gold of the story 👍Thanks, and you too 🙏🙌
Insane accomplishment Ryan!

Thank you. 🙏
I've waited long and now you delivered! :)
Sorry it took so long. Thanks for watching. 🙏🙌
@ oh no don’t say sorry - quality takes time!
Hahaha, Ryan. Sometimes OCD can really suck. Counting the spikes over and over and over thinking they are changing or will change. Great ride! Glad to see you found some people to ride along with and make it less torturous.
At some points I didnt even realise I was counting them. If I could have turned the mini map off, I would have. 😅
Congrats Ryan, that was awesome - Zwift "completed it mate" 👌
Thank you sir. 🙌
Great effort Ryan, always great to get a good group. This is on my bucket list for later on this year 👍
I can only assume its significantly harder solo. Good luck. 🙌
That was off the chart, Ryan! Bizarrely, I chose the Greater London for my FTP Builder (Wk 3 day 1) this morning. Only did Box Hill once 😶🌫️. Great riding, with an awesome bunch of people 👏🏼
Thanks Iain. 🙌💪
I'm pretty sure I've done every "major" route (i.e. long with a lot of elevation) on Zwift at least twice, a couple of 200k events on Tempus and a couple of everestings. Somehow I never did the PRL full a second time 😄 Back in 2020, when I completed it, I wasn't much of a group rider and did it as a free ride. In my opinion it is absolutely the hardest route in Zwift!
You not only did a great job completing it but also did so in a pretty good time as well!
Wow... Everestings (plural). Thats awesome.
Thanks for the compliment and for watching. I was happy with the time. 👍
Unreal effort mate 😊
Thank you sir. 🙏🙌
Awesome ride Ryan - feels like you have shifted up to another level of cycling. How about managing your nutrition with some more precision 90g/hour etc?
I had energy gels on this ride. I had one and i think it was out of date as it made me feel sick lol. Thanks for the watch and the comment. :)
So good! well done 👏
Thanks Jess. 🙏🙌

Wow… that’s a phenomenal effort! Are you gonna be riding for UAE at the Tour this year? 😂 You’re right though, Zwift is a unique community, in a very good way. Great video champ 👍🏻
If UAE provides me with coffees and pretzels so I dont have to stop peddaling then I'm up for it. 😜 Does Pogacar get off his bike and sing too?
@ mate, that bloke could sing a greatest hits up the Col du Tourmalet and not be out of breath 😂
Brilliant Video and Brilliant cycling! I'm pretty sure Eric Min will know of you soon enough.
Im sure he has better things to do than watch me try and screen shot a thumbnail with his avatar but I appreciate the compliment. 🙏🙌
What an epic finish with the group. Well played

Look mom I gave a Ride on to Ryan @2:33
Very impressive completing it. I had the stupid idea of doing 80km in the morning thinking I’d do this in the evening and thereby completing the Rapha500, but my legs didn’t like that too much. And realized I was severely underprepared for this. I gave up after 74km/2.5h
But I still have it on my to-do list 😅
80k in the morning. 😱 And people call me crazy. 🙈 Welldone for getting as far as you did. 🙌

Great work, Ryan! I got so tired of Box Hill on that one - never wanted to see it again! I also think the Uber is harder, just because of the Alpe at the end. Cheers!
cmon , that was fun , the PRL Full with you , and at the end Zwifty and Marky Mark demanded a sprint : Alan Turnball vs me
@@evilstef667 I do have fond memories of it. Type 2 fun, for sure :). Don't mind saddle time, I just hate climbing so much!
I had enough of the Kickers. They were killers. I agree with the Aple making the Uber harder. No rest on the Alpe unless you stop dead. Thanks for watching. 🙌
Congratulations on a great job finishing this route. Well deserved, and a beautiful effort. Good job with the no coffee breaks, I was an avid abuser if them 😂
Those coffee breaks felt very tempting towards to end (they were also tempting at the beginning too 😅).
Big congrats to you too for getting it done bar the technical glitch. That was a tough challenge but a fun one. 🙌
I lead a group of people on the PRL full in December 24. Some used the coffee each time onthe way up Box Hill. #slackers 😝. Good you did it in a group. My strategy was 3 on the flats, 3.5-3.8 for the climb. We finished in just under 5h. I thought it would be worse than it actually was. However, I won’t do it again I guess. 😅
Wow under 5h. Welldone! I'd do it again, it was fun. I enjoyed it. Thanks for watching Michel. :)
Legend!
Before the release of the new routes, this was the only one I had never completed. Guess it’s time to commit!
Gotta get them badges. 💪
Haha, I remember the first time I did this loop. I was looking for a nice, easy recovery ride and didn't know the course, so I unknowingly faced Box Hill face to face. Zone two went out the window. Comments like "this is horrible" and "Does this ever end" came out of my mouth, to which someone replied, "Why are you doing it then?". Doing it 11 times is the kind of mad!
11 times up and over Box Hill is lunacy. 😅 Congrats on doing it. 👏

Epic. Ill get that badge one day.
Ive now got the four hardest badges before I've got the four easiest. 😅🙈
@@RyanCondon Youre killing it. Very inspiring.
Did it for the second time a week ago. Its... honestly, it's something. Indoor time is definitely outdoor time times five. So next up is trying to beat your time, eh? 😅
But I totally understand the repetitive nature being a benefit. My OCD brain breaks down every single loop, and wach time i jave very specific power and time targets throughout. Each loop is its own ride, amd staying consistent is what makes it marginally enjoyable.
I enjoy knowing whats coming and having a plan for that. I dont mind freestyling it but I enjoy it more if its repetitive. 🤷 Completing that course twice is awesome. Welldone. 🙌
Hi Ryan, does the rocker plate actually help with regards to numb bum? i'm considering purchasing one to help with longer turbo sessions.
Yes I believe it does. The slight movement helps the blood flow.
Hey Ryan what bib shorts do you wear for these long rides?
@@ScottBoureston-go4rm I use the Decathlon ones.
@ Do you have a link?
Fantastic as usual, great singing as well... Do you do weddings 👁👁👁👁👁
I do but I'm not cheap. Two coffees and a Soreen bar and I'll sing any wet wet wet song. ✌️
New Zwifter here, and I primary ride solo outdoors and indoors. It’s strange to me on a ride like this that people go hard on hills. My strategy has always been to keep power as steady as possible from start to finish. I know that is hard or impossible in groups, but it doesn’t seem like people are even attempting to do that here. Those hard efforts are really what kill your endurance on a ride like this. What am I missing?
A lot of people treat the hills like intervals and recover on the flats.
Also, if you're heavier like me, taking it easy on inclines can kill your progress and you end up slowly spinning and barely moving but you hit the nail on the head, you have to work to keep up with the group. I weighed 90kg, those in my group were lighter so I had to work harder to not be a burden.
Thanks for watching. 🙌
@@RyanCondon Thank you! Hopefully we can ride together some time! (And I'll take it easy up the climbs :)
What’s the music you used with the female voice? It’s kind of a techno/Cranberries vibe. I’ve heard it in a couple of your videos and would love to download. Love the vids and your story.

You'll be surprised what can be accomplished if you want it bad enough. 🙏
Will try one loop just to feel 1/10 of the pain 😅
You should but be careful you dont start counting the spikes, thats the beginning of the end then. 😅
How can you ride this distance and hardly not sweat unless we cant see that on cam is beyond me.....i probably would have used 3 of 4 Zwift Towels by the end , my hair would have been wet and my arms would shine like a brand new car lol
A decent fan and Zone 2? I wasn't sprinting lol.
you can choose not to use "coffee breaks" but to think its some how superior is laughable... there is a reason why CB are not available in races

Well done, quite the achievement mate. Congrats on getting the 100 mile badge. I'm in a different kind of pain, I can't Zwift, after hitting my left thigh hard on a corner, and dropping a knife on my left foot 😅
Also, by chance, I noticed a fellow Swede on the Companion app, who was over 14 hours into a ride at 2:30am this weekend. Had to Google his name and turns out he's some kind of military guy who's also into the ultra madness stuff 🫠
These Ultra loons, there everywhere. 😅
