Been on the fence about trying Zwift to help me lose a bit of timber, watching your channel has convinced me, turbo trainer arrived today and I’m gonna get my bike out of the shed and cleaned up tomorrow to get stuck in. Cheers for the inspiration.
UN-F-ING BELIEVABLE. Nathan, "I don't have words..." Wow, I don't either. I could feel MY heart rate going up as you bridged that gap. Then the final sprint. That was brilliant . 👍🏻
Lord have mercy!! 10 second gap from a standing start?! No way. You would have won the race, period. Great job listening to Nathan, probably the push you needed after the dropout.
Hey mate... how fantastic was Ryan?? I've watched this back about 5 times now.. and I've come to the conclusion that if the banner had been 50m back and we hit that power up 5 secs earlier, Ryan would have snatched 1st on the line..
That was fucking insane! The drama, I love it! Fantastic effort Ryan, seriously, to catch the pack after the disconnection and then have no time for recovery to keep with the pack…thats some strong mental ability right there. The support from Nathan was crucial to your performance, absolutely brilliant race, well deserved result and the perfect Zwift race video! Top work!
This is a seriously good video Ryan. It had me leaning forward and shouting "go on!" for the final sprint. Super impressive recovery too. Great work all round 👏
I’ve been watching your videos over the last few months. Firstly, a tremendous race, unbelievable grit getting back on and then powering to 2nd was crazy. Ive been contemplating how to frame this but you have an uncanny talent for storytelling. Your personal journey in the area of weight loss and fitness is relevant and personal for many who watch. Keep the videos coming and keep cycling! Ride on!
Thank you so mych for saying that. I try to make my videos entertaining and enjoyable to watch in the only way I know how, telling stories. I really appreciate your comment. 🙌
I hope Nathan takes this video and sends it to all the pro tour teams. Sounds like he's ready to sit in the sports director car and cheer on the pros :D
Wow. That was just pure anger towards that disconnect, that got you back in that race. Outstanding performance! I love these "Flat is fast" races myself, and had a awesome race on that same course the other day, finishing 3rd, although i established a breakaway on the first climb with 5 other riders.
Marky Mark said this was a good one and it didn't disappoint. Hats off for not giving up. Most would've, me included. Hopefully I'll remember this the next time it happens to me.

Your movement on the rocker plate looks really natural now and seeing how much you have improved over the last few years has been fabulous to watch. Your power and recovery have both sky rocketed! Congrats on a very well deserved second place and thank you for the inspiration :)

Keep going, you’re doing inspirational stuff.

When you lost the connection, did you notice it happened when you pressed a button on your handlebar? Is that the Bluetooth fan controller? Keep up the great work! I hope to race with you someday. Cheers, Lucas
Yes, its my fan controller. I did think that but I press it all the time and its never happened before.. hopefully it'll never happen again. Thanks for watching Lucas. :)
That my man was absolutely awesome Ryan. How the hell did you get back to the pack? It just doesn’t happen. Once you’re gone, you’re gone. You are becoming a racer. I’ve watched you progress but today you done something special. Keep it up if that’s possible. I love it.

That was a quality race to watch. What an effort. Without that drop out you would have been fresh as a daisy for that sprint. It’s those kind of races that raise the bar of what you can do over these short race distances. We arnt pros and we don’t ride 150 mile races. To get stronger for these 30 minute races I’ve found riding in tempo green zone on my practice rides. 250 to 270 watts is my green zone. You definitely feel it over 45 minutes to an hour. I won a CAT C race yesterday. That course had longer hills so I could really push the pace on the climbs and draft on all the flats. Flat is fast is a tough course and needs constant watts. Hence the tempo training
I completely agree. We do what we can do. I feel privledged to be able to do this and i appreciate those like you that watch my vids. Thank you Paul. 🙏🙌

Amazing Ryan 👏 Glad I wasn't there or I'd have been dropped after a few KM's with the watts you were putting out. Hasn't taken you long to join in my ZRS range only for you to push on through it as I drop down the way. I was 330 at Xmas, now 292 after a disaster FRR event. Big thanks to Nathan the legend for his words of wisdom 👍 If only I would learn from all these great Zwift racers instead of ending up in a bad head space after blowing up trying to stay with a lead group and limp home in the final few places of most races I enter.
A brilliant effort. Having the rd in your ear made you push way further that you would have without him. But you done it. I don't know how you did but you did it, outstanding effort

Holy shitballs Ryan, that was an incredible performance!! I've never seen anyone catch a pack that big from so far back, solo, and so quickly! You should be so proud of yourself for that race, I'm blown away!
@ I just watched 10 of your videos today ! I really enjoy ur Channel, the content is great and this one particularly is really original, definitely +1 sub
God damn, Ryan! What a barnstorming performance! This is exactly the sort of thing I watch Zwift racing for. Absolutely immense stuff. Couldn't ask for more from a racer. Huge respect. 💪👌
Beast!! Been waiting to see this day from you So crazy to see how much you have progressed!! You are one of the top channels I recommend to friend to watch when they ask about starting to ride! Inspirational stuff! Ps love the climbing technique!! You like the rocker plate?! I need something for my setup and torn between which one to get
Thank you! I really appreciate your kind support. Yes, I love the rockerplate now I've got to grips with it. My one is an Omnirocker, I'd recommend them. 👍
Having done this exact course as my second zwift race ever it’s very very interesting to see how it should be raced. This video was amazing to watch and as a new Zwifter. It gave me some valuable input. Must be amazing to be coached like that :-) It was mind blowing and inspiring to see how deep you can dig under pressure!
Golden rule of Zwift stay in the draft and not in front or behind it. As soon as I discovered that, it felt like I was racing in a different game. oh and punch the kickers. :)
Realy impressive Ryan to see where you come from and now do this. I did this race today and yesterday and get dropped after the second escalator without a disconnection. Its crazy to see your mental and fysical power. I have a score of 391 and ftp of 256 10 years younger been sporty all my life. There is no way I can do that after that bad luck. Such an inspiration
This video was MINT - Ive no idea who that australian dude is but jesus he made this exciting lol - Im gunna start zwift racing 100% - btw your neighbours must think something satanic is going on in your house with all the screaming
It's insane how much better you've gotten. That dig at the end was as real as it gets.

booom , nice one , closing that gap - great stuff , and listen to Nathan ,sticking to the plan payed off , great job DS krake
Thank you Stef. Nathan was awesome, wasnt he! 🙌
Thanks Stef.. I just tried to take his mind off the pain..
@OnTheRivet sssh no talking.
Best zwift video ever, great effort! I need a micro rest after that!!
not too long though, only 0.0004 seconds lol. :)
That was awesome Ryan!!!!!!!!!!
Best part of the video 5:29-5:50 dancing to the beat. I love it!
Holy shitballs Ryan, that was an incredible performance!! I've never seen anyone catch a pack that big from so far back, solo, and so quickly! You should be so proud of yourself for that race, I'm blown away!
haha! Thanks! I still don't believe it myself. ;)
We need more races with a duo like this, it's the best content
Im pleased you enjoyed it. Ill have to do some more. 😅
@ I just watched 10 of your videos today ! I really enjoy ur Channel, the content is great and this one particularly is really original, definitely +1 sub
@buntproduction Thank you for the sub. 🙌🙏 I really appreciate the support. 👍
Well done. One day, I too will get a podium finish.
Its taken me ages. 🙏 We will both make it a regular thing. 🙌💪
Really enjoyed this video. I was cheering you on 😆
I think you can class that race as a win.
Thank you. 🙌
God damn, Ryan! What a barnstorming performance! This is exactly the sort of thing I watch Zwift racing for. Absolutely immense stuff. Couldn't ask for more from a racer. Huge respect. 💪👌
@@lee-cycling I still dont know how I did that. If I wasnt already addicted to zwift, I am now. 🙏🙌
Well done Ryan 👏 😊
Awesome job! Way to dig deep.
Beast!! Been waiting to see this day from you
So crazy to see how much you have progressed!!
monster. like i said in your last video, if it doesn't hurt it doesn't count and this hurting you went through made it count. 2nd baby!
and boy did that race hurt... I love it. Lets go!
Having done this exact course as my second zwift race ever it’s very very interesting to see how it should be raced.
This video was amazing to watch and as a new Zwifter. It gave me some valuable input.
Must be amazing to be coached like that :-)
It was mind blowing and inspiring to see how deep you can dig under pressure!
Golden rule of Zwift stay in the draft and not in front or behind it. As soon as I discovered that, it felt like I was racing in a different game.
oh and punch the kickers. :)
@@RyanCondon "Punch the Kicker" is a great slogan for a t-shirt
@ Quite a few 'tag-lines' perfect for tshirts came from this race. lol
Thanks Tom. It was just my day and I was super motivated. Next race is your race. We got this. 🙏🙌
What an inspiration! I think that is the best Zwift video I have seen so far...and I watched a lot! I love your channel, keep going!
Thank you. 🙌🙏
This video was MINT - Ive no idea who that australian dude is but jesus he made this exciting lol - Im gunna start zwift racing 100% - btw your neighbours must think something satanic is going on in your house with all the screaming
@@crike12 haha god knows what my neighbours think but you're probably right. Thanks for watching. 🙌
