I cant thank you enough. I ordered a new lid locking mechanism kit. And after hand washing my clothes for the last week and change decided I needed to buckle down and watch all the youtube videos I could find about installing it. Thank goodness your video was in my search queue. So instead of struggling for the next few hours I just plugged my washing machine back in, as you suggested, and the light was no longer flashing. I am washing clothes as I write and moving on to the next repair on my list. You've helped me start with a big win. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!! 🤩

Hey Michael. Thanks for the video. I have this same washer and I'm hoping you can help. When I start the washer, cold and hot water fills as normal. I've checked the pressure. But the water won't stay in the tub. The water keeps running on sensing.

Thanks! I was bummed to see that flashing light and thought I'd give unplugging it a try after watching your video. Funny thing is I had to lean onto the top to get back down to the plug and when I did, I heard the lock click. So before I unplugged it I tried it, and it started!
So perhaps even try putting a little weight on the lid over the lock mechanism to see if it clicks like mine did. lol Grateful it's running now.

boy this low effort video helped a lot of people. it is kind of troubleshooting 101. unplug, wait ( usually more than 10 seconds.... at least a minute ) and plug back in. great that he helped so many people tho. there are others resets besides this basic one for these type of machines. keep searching youTube... you will find them.

So i come inside youtube this problem and your vid popped up. I thought to myself well i unplugged it many times so i walk back out and the lock light wasnt on anymore! I just pushed the start button and it seems to be washing! I guess it just needed a few mins to rest? Not sure, but i appreciate you making the time to record 😎

My lid lock light was blinking but the lid was not locked. I tried to unplug to reset but it didn't fix it. When I plugged it back in, I pressed the start button and the sensing light started blinking. I waited about 10 minutes and it didn't change, If I press the start button, the lock button lights up and water runs for about a second then it turns off again. Any suggestions?
