I miss having a striker/forward in Van Nistelrooy and Berbatov. Those two were really professional goal scorers but the system now that ten Hag is employing is a press system wherein we are able to maximize the potential of each and everyone. Having a progressive passing of De Ligt and Martinez will make a difference for our wingers would definitely be getting, hope their first touch is precise for them to maximize those runs for a potential goal and a constant threat up front. I think neither Mazraoui nor De Ligt will make their debut right away by starting in the match against Fulham, yet they will still come off the bench in the 60's-70's minutes. I wouldn't mind if we play with the same back four when we played against city in the community shield, but i would really like to see the back four of Dalot, Maguire, Martinez, and Amass in the first 45 minutes, and obviously Amass excites me the most because he had a relatively good pre-season, and he looks ready, so he deserves some minutes this season and we'll see how he develops. For the midfield, fair to say with the situation of McTominay(and his inconsistency over the years and his inability to give us such good stability in midfield) that is definitely going to move out this summer, Ugarte hasn't come in yet, and Collyer would be too early to start a game yet even though he's same like Amass who had a good pre-season, Casemiro and Mainoo would be the safest duo in the pivot. But I feel that Collyer will come in to replace Casemiro in around 70's minutes and it will be such a valuable experience to him. In the attack, the quartet of Amad, Mount, Bruno, and Garnacho could be a fluid and dangerous combination, and I really hope so. With Zirkzee, Sancho, Pellistri, and Wheatley on the bench, they could - and i hope they should- be solid options when it's a deadlock. Let's start the season with a convincing win. C'mon United!

Preseason or not, If De Ligt is fit? He should be starting. Point blank period. We are in transition and tactical shift. We want to play the 10Hag way which is a highline. Including Maguire completely cancels that out completely because he's not fit for purpose.

You predictions are more of who should start than what ETH will do. ETH is a creature of habit & I hope his new coaching group can persuade him to change. He should start Gernacho, but he'll start with Rashford. I'd like to see Bruno & Zirkzee, but more likely Mount. Will start with De ligt but perhaps Maz will come on later. I'm very optimistic about us this season, but it all depends on ETH, not so much the players. Most importantly, having a proper midfield & defense should free up the old Bruno & he can focus on doing what he does best, create & score goals. Dalot has played at LB a lot more than Mazraoui, I believe, so if either of them play their, it's more likely to be Dalot. I think that works with Garnacho on the left, but I prefer Rashford to play with a LB who will overlap and stay wide, rather than invert.
everyone's getting hype with all these signings but forgetting the fact that we had bad lucks with most of the players we signed over the years no matter how class they were before joining. As a fan, I'd rather keep my feet on the ground and not putting too much expectation just yet.

I like your analysis but a lot is being made of Mazroui’s ability to play LB. Yes he can but I found out that he’s only played there 10 times. Whereas Dalot is extremely comfortable at LB and I think he played there most of the season he was on loan at Milan. So I’d much rather just play Dalot LB and Play Mazroui RB for the time being. We have to remember it will be Mazroui’s debut game in a new league so playing him out of position might put him on the back foot from the jump.

I think that works with Garnacho on the left, but I prefer Rashford to play with a LB who will overlap and stay wide, rather than invert.
Mazraoui is more two footed and a better passer and crosser of the ball with both legs. He overlaps as a leftback unlike dalot.

GARNACHO IS A RW, ITS LAZY TO KEEP PUTTING HIM ON THE LEFT. Our best front 3 is Rashford - Zirkzee - Amad... then bench options are Sancho - Hojlund - Garnacho. Please learn to accept having great bench options and even better starters. Rashford missed chances doesnt take away from the fact he had a better community shield and couldve left with 3 g/a, you take your chances in a player showing those qualities. I like your analysis but a lot is being made of Mazroui’s ability to play LB. Yes he can but I found out that he’s only played there 10 times.
Whereas Dalot is extremely comfortable at LB and I think he played there most of the season he was on loan at Milan. So I’d much rather just play Dalot LB and Play Mazroui RB for the time being. We have to remember it will be Mazroui’s debut game in a new league so playing him out of position might put him on the back foot from the jump.
