- Allegiance is a state of mind, ever-changing through the flow of time. For many, this episode is the inflection point of their shifting allegiances.
I had originally planned to commission ATheatricalSongbird to reprise her role as Yunru, but that fell through for various reasons. So instead I asked my good friend Amy / amyyyy.sun to play the role. I think she did pretty good :p
For those unaware, Mental Omega is a free unofficial expansion pack for Command & Conquer Red Alert 2 Yuri's Revenge, just recently reaching the 10th anniversary of its version 3.0 release.

I love how many internal divisions and factions there are in group. It really shows the good lore and complexity and this presentation style helps it.
Plus it makes the skirmish between the subfactions plausibly fit the cannon.
The constant internal struggles and divides was exactly how Epsilon came to become so powerful, and ultimately victorious - Yuri had exploited this constant infighting to allow himself to grow unopposed. Only when the free world was united (no matter their allegiances and politics) would they have stood a chance against Yuri and his infernal legions.

This mod is single handedly competing with the whole original CnC lore. Just as underestimated as this Psyminette's retelling series
And this is just the current lore, the last lore from Versions 1 and 2 are both unique and deep as well, acting as a mythology for elements of the version three now while who knows what will be included in the upcoming version with act 3

Edging the Mental Omega Device
Imagine if the whole series will be released and when it does, our mind will have the sensation to rewatch this whole series again and again due to it being PEAK story of a Science fiction of a RTS game. Truly a treasure only a few of us value.
And lastly I figured that only high intelligent people can only enjoy and comprehend the beauty of Command and Conquer: Red Alert 2 and Mental Omega.

Me neither but I love it. It really shows how divided China and PF are and while Yunru will create her own side. It also shows how quickly Yuri’s army spread.
@LunaPPK WELL considering he didn't align them all in chronological order ( ex)Think Different, Eclipse, Warranty Void) for the purpose of twist, this was unexpected.
Actually he forget one of thing critical need to explain before Act 2. During this time, one of Chinese agent find out about fake MIDAS report, which lead to another Epsilon Covert OP Taciturn mission to kill him before that information get back to Chinese.

And she just become my favourite character! From being drafted as a child, to doing what was right to stop Yuri. It's just amazing.
I know, she earns her role in the story and is pretty cool for noticing how pointless most of this geopolitics is about to be.

@@konradoziom2225Mind controlling only bits of parts of the top brass of any faction would either result in meager effect as the mind-controlled can only do so much while following the other leaders to not blow their cover, or short-lived power as the other leaders would quickly turn their gun and power onto them. The human ego however. Primal, natural, predictable, most likely what Yuri relies on to control, like how the Chinese power chooses to mull over the Russian rather than vanquishing Yuri.

@@darkbrightnorth Yeah, I can see that. And also why US only had like 3 nuke in one base, while their satelite network still wasn't working. I would expect at least 2 bases, one in pacific side, other at atlantic side, so whole US could be in range.

Some people criticize the “anime elements” of Yunru, for some reason, but I love them so thank you for including some of the most interesting lore in this story.
Her story is pretty well written as the only person in power that sees the writing on the walls, the only thing I can say is anime is her hairstyle but with what Yuri is planning, that's hardly a critique
Yuri has his own anime girl later so don't worry about that

actually the problem is that she was poorly written in act 2 though you gotta give kudos to psyminette that she's a bit fleshed out in the narration

Man, that whole underground facility rescue-turned-raid with Yunru is pictured so epicly that i imagined a whole FPS game. Imagine a first person view as one of the elite chinese squad equipped with Desolator radiation gun and advanced weaponry, fighting through the facility against Alien yet human forces, and even that brain tank vehicle, watching as bits of the squad gets mind controlled against you as you choose to either disarm the tank by gunning your fellow squadmate or making a mad dash under your own allied fire to destroy the tank, then the climax is you staring down hordes of Hulks while Yunru extracts info.
Thanks Psyminnete for this great retelling of the game's lore and props the devs and writers for making such a gripping story.
Honestly if someone ever wants to bring back C&C they should hire the MO team and make it a cannon timeline.

Judging by the end of the vid, So this is where Yuri has officially has formed his army, the Epsilon Army. And now I get it of how the origins of Libra came to be, she was the psychic from that truck that Yunru was escorting before it got ambushed and Psi-Corps got their hands of it. And as for the rest, well now I know why Scorpion Cell had betrayed the Epsilon cause they treat them as tools not allies. So I'm guessing the next part of this lore is the Act 2 of MO, the Epsilon Era. Thing's are sure getting good! I can't wait for next time! ✨👍
IIRC, Speeder said that Libra have no straight connections with that psychic, so... Most presumabely - her genome was just one of the starting points for the creation of "The Weapon".

and it makes sense (unlike Disney Star Wars) Here you had a group of people who rose to power through ambition, betrayal, and intrigue. They are opportunists at best and paranoid at worse. Success is not something to be rewarded, but instead a warning of an emerging threat to ones position, and every crisis is addressed as how one could extract the most benefit from it while deflecting any repercussions.
These aren't great people that become stupid cowards just so that the main hero can show em up like a Mary Sue. These are people who's devoted their whole lives to feeding their ambitions being blind to critical details, and unable to see the big picture that doesn't have them in it.
Yunru: General Xiu Rong Wu, we need to do something to stop Yuri's threat, even work together with our rivals and Allies. Don't waste time on wanting to be a king of Soviet.
Gen Xiu Rong Wu: I don't need that, I take this as an opportunity to overthrow the Russia, once I have done, all Russian and Latin soon will bow down to me. And I will be a king of Soviet Union (with Maniac laugh)

As a South East Asian, why is the Philippines part of The Pacific Front and not America? As an Weeb Gamer, love the use of Anime Yunru, hope CnC got an Anime. And as an CnC Fan "HAIL TO THE GREAT YURI".
Because all of SEA that isn't part of China is part of the Pacific Front. Besides, the PH is part of the Allies which is led by US. You can prolly think of it like the PF is just the renewal of the alliance between the two. Either ways, PH and the rest of PF excluding SK, Australia and Japan contribute nothing to the PF's tech anyways, so it matters not.
The Korean situation does seem odd considering that Japan wasn't in the 2nd World War.
Still I prefer the Pacific Front over the Empire of the Rising Sun.
Also I may be a bit biased but MALVER is the best hero in Mental Omega.
In Psyminette clips don't show much about the PF army.
But the Campaign only Japanese force has a lot of units from EoRs.

I remember playing Epsilon's last mission for Act 1. It has a very different feel like its, "all bets are off" feeling. Like never say die. Victory or death.

The fact that Yuri tried to stop Foehn Revolt from happening as early on as this, only to forsee it as karmic fate in the future makes it a bit laughable
If not for the Soviet Union, Yunru would've never been able to counter her main opponents in both Act II and Act III.

With every new entry in this series, I'm once again blown away by the quality and humor of the animations and interludes. Also, every time you mention the time gaps between missions/operations, I'm surprised. I didn't realize how much time lapses between the various missions, except that one Allied mission that explicitly states "Several weeks later".

-Allies have Cyborgs, Terror Drones, Robot Tanks and Knightframes at the start of WW3
-Epsilon and Soviets take much more casualties. Scorpion Cell makes an alliance with the Allies instead

But yeah I can see an Act 4 where the Fohen calculates how many time loops have been made which all failed to stop the activation of the Mental Omega Devices which could result in the next force sent back coming to confusing blows such as Last Bastion attacking the US forces or Hailhead attacking Scorpion Cell.

I really like how you ended up using settings from future missions and the bases still being in an incomplete state compared to the ones we faced during the missions a a sign of what's to come. I'm so excited to see how you do Act 2... and more over, how you address the unit spam fiasco, considering it's hard to put units in formation and have them move as such.
I gotta say that last chunk of the video where Epsilon were finishing to build their bases gave mе goosebumps. What an awsome content.

Enjoying every moment of your videos,the on point sound mixing ,using the in game music based on the faction you are currently telling the story about, the addition of the in-game scripts and cutscenes to present the story's most important events from each mission,even using in game footage of your gameplay.
The amount of effort you expended to use voices resembling the actual voice actors,perhaps through the use of AI? , and let's not forget the addition of custom art for additional context and adding more emotion to the story.
Every time you upload a new video on the story I start watching the latest episode,only to then rewatch the whole series from the beginning just so I can feel the build up of the events each time.
I'm a simple man. I see a new Psyminette video, I must watch.
And so, everything we have seen up until this point, was just act 1. Out of 3. Sure act 3 hasn't been released yet, but it's here soon. Or rather, SOON.
