- MOMENT Ukrainian soldier reunites with mother after liberating town from Russian occupiers.
Jumping and weeping as she saw her son's car approaching, the mother of Derhachi district mayor Vyacheslav Zadorenko, told her son she knew he'd return for her.
Zadorenko and his mother reunited in a recaptured village near the Russian border as Russian forces retreated from parts of Kharkiv region.
The mother insisted on feeding her son and his armed escorts with borscht, a staple dish in every Ukrainian household, but Zadorenko insisted that his parents must leave their house for a safer place.
"I knew you'd come and free me. All of us in Kozacha (Lopan village) knew this day would come. At the gas station they told me you were coming," she said.

I saw a video of a Russian soldier with no legs below the knees trying to get on a bus and no one would help him. The bus driver just drove off. That whole country is lost.

Yeah, same here, I will cope with energy prices. And the West won't lose interest unless we lose interest in democracy and freedom - it's clear Putin has no regards for these and unless he's defeated, he'll keep trying to advance his sick influence as far as he's allowed to.
