Unfortunately some times when you change the transmission fluid after a very long time there is a risk it won’t work properly, this happen to me with Mercedes, can’t really say for your vw sorry, may be a risk you need to take as this cars need the transmission fluid changed..

Well definitely a job for the weekend, by the time all the oil gets spilled over the floor hahaha, sorry no to be pessimistic but shit happens all the time, so I would give myself 2 to 3 hours...
If you watch the video you will see the filter seat on top of the transmission. I have another video on changing the oil filter for the engine, this car is a Diesel by the way.

well am not sure all the oil come out but this service is recommended every 40000 miles on this gearbox as it tends to suffer.

Febi Bilstein 39070 Dual Clutch Transmission Fluid - DCTF-I that’s the oil I used, purchased a kit which includes the filter. It’s in the video.

How much oil did you put in 1 liter? I don't speak much English. My car is Golf 5 2.0 TDI automatic. 🙏
I measured the amount that come out and top up the same amount.
How much did you put? I understand it's 4.5 liters, is that correct?

Same gearbox as mk5 golf 1.6 petrol automatic

Are you sure this filter is the gearbox. I guess it is engine oil filter. The gearbox usually be on bottom of gearbox. Maybe I am wrong.
