Easy started Deutz here on feeder ,she started getting real lazy so i did a voltage drop test , i was loosing 0.75 volt on earth side it was earth lead to block connection .For the test with multimeter set to volts start with one lead on negative battery post and the other on starter body engage starter to turn over engine the meter should read less than 0.5v if higher the problem is in negative side now try meter lead on positive battery post and other lead to threads of positive bolt on starter ,engage starter if more than 0.2v reading positive side is loosing voltage . Good voltage drop test clips on youtube . Some case /international need stop lever in a certain position to activate excess fuel for starting . enjoy your videos .
Have been doing those tests and see the same drops when it’s warm as cold but when it’s cold she is stiff to turn over and it not like it’s minus 20 or anything
Lovely setup great stock . Mature bulls seem to be okay on slats .young bulls are a very eager but it is a risk you have to take great video look forward to it every week .keep up the good work
Will be interesting to see how the cross breds compare as regards age / weight gain / cost and grading...what direction does the front of that shed face ?
@Kavanaghfarming upstands might be the best solution rather than blocking the ridge fully. Should be a well enough ventilated shed anyhow with the open feeding area. Damp bedded area for calves would be a disaster so anything to prevent that would be needed.
I can’t say they look good a local man to me is a rep went with him. Was looking at another brand but sales man only wants milk men so told him where to go when eventually turned up
Drain the radiator in each night put in warm water in the mornings and old coat over the engine hood keeps the cold off then too And she should fire up,

I reckon I could do with one of those heaters plugged into me, to get me going on a cold winters morning...
Could all do with one some mornings

Open side away from prevailing winds
Had the same problem , bedding the shed only for it to get soaked, sheeted the slatted side of the roof vent, works great now,
Will have to do something like that
Are there upstands at the vented ridge to prevent rain ingress?
No will have to do something

Can't see how the rain would blow in under canopy with end of roof sheets turned up 😮
You’d be surprised
After watching the video my tractor failed to start 😂😂
Nothing as bad as
Is the water going in because of very dry silage
The silage isn’t that dry using it as it helps with intakes and keeps the ration more evenly mixed
👍Thanks Grraham

Heifers incalf to Ai or stock bull?
They were synchronised and ai couple repeats to stock bull
Hey i lost a pedigree bull and cow on slats. If you had mats you probably be alright.
That’s what I thought after been talking to a few other lads and some mats are just as slippery hard to know what’s right
Drain the radiator in each night put in warm water in the mornings and old coat over the engine hood keeps the cold off then too
And she should fire up,
We use coolant in engines wouldn’t be ideal to be letting out
Your cows need bedding so they can lie down comfortably mate
Straw is a problem this year
O 👀 the case is paddy lacey tractor 😢
I had same thoughts 😂 💰 💰
Nothing soft or cheap with paddy hard man to deal with.

I can’t say that you have to know yourself what tractor is worth.
g Iwould not risk a good bull on slats with cows for fear of injury, take out your cow and bull on straw in shed or passageway.
