Maybe some expanding foam to fill those holes in the wall foam will prevent future homes behind future panels. All those bags of feed just provided the best Buffet for the mice! They thought they had hit the jackpot for the mice nursery. Keep an eye on the top shelf,under the loft - ideal hiding place for mice!!
The rats or mice are gonna eat thru your feed bags. And make sure you keep lids on those containers at all times. They multiply very fast and any amount of feed (even crumbs) are going to intice them! Good luck!
You may want to remove the spray foam where the mice were. The mice carry diseases in the poop and pee. Then spray the area with some type of cleaner and wipe down the area especially if you are going to use it as feed storage and a brooding area.

I was thinking that you should suck the mice up with a vacuum and then you did! I’d fill up the holes with steel wool & spray foam. Rodents do like biting on metal anymore than humans do. We love watching your family story - blessings and happiness always!

Brandon, you cracked me up jumping when those tiny mouse ran. I grew up on a farm. My grandma use to get them with a hammer to their head. A female mouse lays live babies 6-15 with each litter. They can have babies every 21 days from mating. You need to get you a chicken house cat! The problem would be gone. Clean the litter when you feed the birds.

Yes,mice do get pregnant, and have babies just like other farm animals. The first thing that you need to do, is you have to get all the babies out of the wall. Once you do the adults will be easy to trap. The old fashioned traps work the best. The sticky sheets don't work very well. @lindatisdale6263 have you ever seen a mouse on one of those? I have and it is the worst torture one can imagine. The mouse tries to get off and will go so far asto chew off a foot only to have something else get stuck in the glue. Other animals can get stuck in them as well.

I tried that and what a joke it was, ended up going back to tradition traps and thankfully got them under control with in a few weeks, month and a half or so.

The babies are born alive. Those are called pinkies because they dont have their fur yet. Mice have alot of babies. I used to breed and sell white(feeder) mice. They are so cute.

The female mouse 🐀 can give birth to a litter of pups after a gestation period of about 20 days. Mother mouse 🐀 nurses her pups for 21 days. The pups reach sexual maturity and can mate themselves when they are about 8 weeks old. Sometimes at 4 weeks old.

Brandon, the mice use the insulation for their beds/warmth. You need to refoam and put up the drywall and caulking before installing the shelving. They will tunnel up to your shelves and nest elsewhere, eating your feed. All feed needs to be stored in closed containers instead of bags. Dutch uses locking lids. Better to invest now to save the feed and keep the temptation away from any critters. You have openings for ants and everything now. Good luck!

Need to out all the packaged food in the containers and cover the feed containers. The mice are thriving in your barn, chewing into the bagged feed.

If you put water in the bucket they will drown and you'll catch several. They will eat through the bags of feed around the bucket.

You need to get Catch Master sticky traps that they sell at Walmart. They got enough glue to capture what ever steps on them.

I would suggest getting that spray foam for the holes the mice created.
Mix equal amounts of honey cornmeal muffin mix and baking soda. They can not burp. I have had zero activity in over 18 months.

We always put a piece of food in the middle of the sticky trap. If they eat the animals pellets, put one on the trap.
