absolutely agree with the one minute for loading the brush, your pronunciation is almost perfect jeje, within a couple of weeks I will send an other foto of my shaving blades inventory ( around 5000 blades now ) for you shave site followers , yes le pere lucien es great lather and scent and scent as you are mentioning are very elegant , it is very nice viewing your vidoes , you are ALWAYS POSITIVE and that is great for starting a new day, regards from mexico , feliz semana santa , robert

Nice shave Mark, that soap looks great so I’ll give it a try at some point. I wanted to thank you for something you say before every shave - “30 degrees, a light touch, let the razor do all the work, gentlemen”. I’m new to wet shaving as of Nov 2021 and have been experiencing inconsistent results until recently while shaving thought about what you say. I lightened up the razor force on my neck and wow major difference. I was trying to get my close shave in 2 passes but was applying too much pressure on the neck causing occasional bad neck irritation. With my stiff facial hair the lighter touch doing 2 passes with a 3rd pass touchup on the neck using light force letting the razor do the work made all the difference. Thank you for repeating this as it is key to a great shave for me. Love the videos and enjoy trying to anticipate “BOOM, LATHER”. Thanks again, cheers!

My personal experience with Le Pere (a PIF sample) was that the lather explodes into a Santa's beard pillow. Now that I am more of a straight razor user, I would have to work to make it denser and wetter. No denying that it is a high quality soap.
Patrick, agree.:) It's a beautiful lather, no doubt. Love the scent and as I mentioned, I get the impression that the soap is going to get better with each successive shave.
Great shave Mark. That brush is the 1st brush i ever ordered. Still use it very often. Great brush considering how inexpensive it is. That soap sounded like i may like it. I enjoy bay rum, but for me, it can be a bit strong. So a soap where the scent is a bit more toned down is one i may enjoy.
John, this soap would certainly be up there. If you like a Bay Rum that is a bit more subdued and love doing the one-minute brush load (which really creates a vintage TWS vibe), the vintage look of the soap container, then yes.:)

Nice shave. Get a two day growth, same set up and do a cold razor shave. Be a good comparison of hot vs cold razor.
Yes! I just did a video of the cold razor shave, so this would be a good direction to go.

Try col conk bay rum. It’s a deep but subtle scent. Great for everyday, I use it with pinaud virgin island bay rum aftershave.
