    We need videos on catch and preserve the fish, maybe a “Cook with me “ video from your wife....all Alaska all the time ....just found your channel. I have read all your books and your family is truthfully very inspiring as you stepped out in faith and courage and transplanted your family ( and friends ) 4000 miles from home. Thank you for sharing with us

    That fish he was cleaning was an Ivory King. Genetically they are few and far between. greetings from portland oregob

      I have caught an Ivory King. Maybe it is psychological, but I feel it tastes better than the normal King.

      White kings and albino kings are from the Frasier River in B C. and spend the winter around Kachemak Bay AK and surrounding seas feeding on herring. Possibly the fattiest and oilest salmon on the planet.

    It is much easier to net a fish, if the rod holder aligns the rod above the net handler. With the rod bending over the net handlers head, the fish will more likely be right in front of him.
