Orange-flavored ice cream is my and my husband’s favorite flavor of ice cream. It gets even better when I make it with the seasonal oranges. The combination of my homemade orange marmalade with the orange custard gives this ice cream a very vibrant orange flavor without the use of any artificial flavor. MEK Orange Ice cream For the custard: 1 ½ cups freshly squeezed orange juice 2 egg yolks ¼ cup sugar 2 tbsp cornstarch Zest from one whole orange Add sugar and orange zest to the yolks and whisk for five minutes. Whisk till pale in color. Set that aside. Pour orange juice into a saucepan and bring it to a gentle simmer. Add about half a cup of the hot orange juice into the whisked yolks mixture and quickly whisk it to tamper it. Then pour back the tampered yolk mixture into the orange juice pan. Start cooking it on low heat and keep whisking it till it thickens and coats the back of the spoon. Remove from heat and let it cool completely. Then transfer it to the fridge and chill it. For the ice cream base: 2 cups heavy whipping cream 6 tbsp sweetened condensed milk ½ cup homemade orange marmalade Vanilla extract Start whipping the heavy cream till soft peaks form. Add condensed milk, marmalade, and vanilla extract to it and whisk more. Add chilled orange custard to it and mix it well. Pour the mixture into your ice cream machine and process it. Transfer to a freezer-safe container and chill it overnight before serving. Enjoy your refreshing orange ice cream.❤️
My favorite is also orange-flavored ice cream. Watching you make this is like seeing a painter create a masterpiece. The music, artistry and phenomenal beauty that unfolds as you create this delicious treat are breath-taking! I watched it more than once! I am sure the delicious flavor of that first spoonful must have been an exquisitely heavenly, dreamy, creamy burst of pure delight and JOY!!!
The instructions don’t say when to add the cornstarch to the custard. In the video, it looks like you added it after you whisked the yolks. Is this correct? I have a bunch of beautiful oranges (Blood oranges and Cara Caras) I need to use and this ice cream would be perfect. It looks so delicious!

Me encanto la receta, pero no tengo la máquina de helado , se puede poner en el frizer directamente? Y luego sacar para comer.
Mention ingredients while pouring
