Yep. I haven't forgotten about your suggestion about the drip installation online guide. Always juggling and that project will take a chunk of time and focus so I am continuing to watch to see where I can commit the time.
Z, your best bet is to go to your local landscape and irrigation supplier like SiteOne or Ewing. I can't guarantee that hdwe. stores or home centers will have them all. I recommend using Rain Bird brand swing arms.
Once you cap the line, it will become almost impossible for the next person to know where it’s buried. It’s strange that this is a non issue in the industry. The obvious solution is to unscrew the cap, remove the shaft and cap the pop up body. My understanding is that they don’t make this type of cap.
Lord, you are correct and I normally don't cap them underground as shown on this video. I normally cap them just above grade by extending the risers using cutoff risers or cutoff extensions, but in this case, they didn't want anything showing and there was fat chance that anyone would ever need those again. Thanks for bringing that up. The video briefly shows the Rain Bird Xeri-Caps and Hunter Popup Caps as shown in the video that is mentioned at the beginning of this video. I have them available on my Resources site.
@@SprinklerPros Hi, thanks for the reply. Looks like xeri-cap is the one that I was talking about. Now it just occurred to me that you did mention the Hunter pop up nozzle cap as well in another video of yours. I have found your videos very informative, and thus subscribed. Appreciate it!
Sorry, I don't have a videographer to follow me around and trying to keep a camera pointing in the right direction while I work is too difficult. I have a few videos where I do have the camera rolling. I will do it where I can. I do understand what you're saying and I agree that it would be much more helpful. If I can figure out how to make it work, I'll do it. Thanks for the nudge.
I have used those several times switching beds to drip irrigation using netafin and have always been pleased with results.
very helpful, and I like the gfx lol
Good presentation Tom. Glad I watched
Hi Rod. Good to hear from you.
This is really gonna come in handy as Las Vegas will be mandating converting all grass to desert landscaping. Thanks Tom!

Again....Great information!
Thank you for the informative video. Where to get those connectors and fitting?

The "before" and "after" shots don't do it. It would be more helpful to see the "action of installation".
