Furuno all the way. I’ve used it and worked with them for 20 years. Not a fan of the PC Nobeltec but it is a back up for sure. If you ever cross to French Polynesia you will be super happy with Navionics… also using satellite tiles and pictures on Open CPN.
Curious if you guys ever got to meet Jim and Rosy that lived on their Cheoy Lee. (Cruising Sea Venture) They seemed to do a lot of cruising in the same area you guys cruise in and like you were not afraid to do some serious long range cruising. I miss their videos. They also installed a bulbous bow on their boat which seems fairly rare on a recreational boat.
What a beautiful job you both did. I like your methodology of KISS and thoughtfulness of how you laid everything out. Today with all the new wiz bang technology it can be system overload. I have found if you stick with the basic block and tackle you'll never go wrong. Thank you for sharing.
Can you do a video on what you do with your waste water, black and gray. And also was wondering if your toilets were like those on an airplane, with the huge vacuum flush? I know it’s a weird request, but I wanted to see how it compares to RVing. And just what you can dump into the sea. Thanks! Love your channel ❤
It looks as though I am about to embark on my second Nordhavn Pilothouse refit, am grateful to have seen this video. Like you, I am a Furuno fan, and am inclined to install a similar system. What is the advantage of a computer as the center screen VS a black box Furuno system using all Furuno screens? Also, have you considered Sea AI as an add on? Lastly, what did you install on the fly? Many Thanks, Maldwin
I like the computer interface for planning and moving around in the charts. Really just a personal preference. We installed a 13” XL chartplotter with the controls on the side. We also a simrad AP48 controller with the follow lever on the flybridge. I did look at the Sea AI but the price point right now was too high for us. Looks really interesting though.
Great additions to the Wheelhouse.
We’re pretty happy with it too! Who knows what we'll end up adding in future years!
Gracias 😂 Los dos sirven- Normalmente yo uso barco, pero gente, cuando veen Noeta, muchas veces dicen Yate. (Yachtay)

Thanks, we appreciate the tip - we’re always looking for good info! We'll be doing some big cruising in the coming years hopefully! Cheers!

We really like your honesty and adventure, cruising on a Nordhaven in Mexico is pretty flipping cool , thanks for sharing .
Thanks for following along! We think it’s flipping cool too! 😎

We're glad you liked ! We're all about keeping things simple…with multiple redundancies. Thanks for watching!
Yes. Furuno. Their products last a very long time and if you need a part for an older model, they have it.
We’ve been really happy with their customer service.
