Hey Joltz, It's LaryIsland the creator of Spare Parts and a longtime fan of yours. I just finished watching Ultimate Axton and saw this video in my subscription feed, thanks so much for showing off my mod. I hope everyone has fun with it! Side Note: The grenades in BL2 are quite specific with what parts they are expecting, which is why a lot of the combinations for grenades specifically are quite odd.
Thanks for making this mod! I've already been playing this way utilizing Gibbed on some of my playthroughs, with essentially the rarity lock and strict uniques rules on. An additional rule I played with is a eridium "crafting fee" based on level and rarity (like 400 eridium for Legs. and uniques at level 80+). Just an idea in case you wanted to implement that.
I still, to this day, never understood why we couldn't have a system to reroll or level up your guns with a rare currency you could farm. It would give the player multiple options for farming and change the way you choose to interact with certain drops. It's a big missed opportunity imo
@@Clooger-it would kinda ruin the gameplay loop. Its a looter shooter, being able to level up your gear along with you defeats the need to loot stuff or farm. This game is supposed to have a cycle of looting and finding better gear, thats how it can sustain itself through NG+. If levelling up didnt have the consequence of your gear becoming obselete, NG+ would be pointless and have no real purpose.
This mod is the exact vision i have for what border lands 4 will be like! Just having the ability to take better parts off of your old guns and slap them onto new guns would add a breath of fresh air to the game as a whole
i will always be amazed at your guys' abilities to just immediately be able to recognize every single individual part of guns, shields AND grenades just by looking at them. and remembering every single prefix. i struggle to tell shield parts apart even WITH a visual reference in front of me.
QotD: This is one of the most interesting mods I’ve seen for the game. Between all the nutty combinations and teaching mods parts, it’s all around a good time.
This is probably my favorite borderlands 2 mod so far, the possibilities are endless, I hope you continue this series for a while since there's so many combinations to do.
Crafting needs to be a thing in vanilla BL4. Obviously it needs some balance: 1. Eridium cost. Perhaps a higher cost for higher rarity parts. 2. Limit one part per salvaged item. If you want a god roll item, and that item has 20 parts, then you might need up to 20 separate items to salvage for it. 3. Sanity check. As fun as wacky hybrids are in a modded game, it would be impossible to check for every broken interaction for vanilla. It's probably best to stick to just the parts that a particular item can already spawn with. I know some people like farming for days on end for a god roll using only RNG, but I think Borderlands needs to move beyond using that mechanic exclusively for absolutely everything. I think that player choice needs to be allowed more often. Many of us were bummed out when we saw the parts inspector in BL3 with no crafting system.
QOTD: This is what the grinder in Pre Sequel should have been. You put in your item you want to keep, and the grinder random takes parts from the second and third items. Moonstone would allow you to pick parts.
Does anyone else feel like this whole mod should be an official dlc? Like this is exactly what the grinder from the pre sequel was pushing towards yet its not a dlc
I really appreciate mods like this for helping keep Borderlands fresh, bl2 is an absolute masterpiece and i will forever crave the feeling of experiencing it for the first time, so getting to feel like I'm playing one of my favorite games all over again with a mod like this is awesome
Honestly out of all the mods you have showcased, this has to be one of my favourites so far. It's a fresh and fun take on a game which already has a vast number of guns, can't wait to a cursed gub
The Harold is still shooting shock. But if my hypothesis is correct, then that means that the Harold creates new pellets when it splits. That's why it's explosive.
maybe the main bullet is shock but the side pellets are explosive. I do wonder if you could use dahl body on the harold, would it make the gun burst fire?
Such an amazing mod. The unending possibilities of unique and cursed weapons. I can only imagine how the pimpernel and lyuda would work with each other.
The mod is super cool! It reminds me of a friend years ago saying that they wanted a vault hunter to have the ability to swap gun parts. And now they can.
I'm so glad this mod exists! I've already been playing this way utilizing Gibbed on some of my playthroughs, with essentially the rarity lock and strict uniques rules on, plus an eridium "crafting fee".
I dreamed of this concept being in Borderlands when I was younger, so it's really great to see someone made it a real thing! and that it works so well!
I really love it I reminded me of when I used to turn off the sanity, check inside the game and craft my own sort of weapons during a play through using a save editor I stopped doing it because I got annoyed at reloading the game every single time I wanted to craft something new.
QOTD: I feel like it gives a certain level of uniqueness to the gam, a lot of mods creates new weapons but sometimes I've wondered what it would be like to combine weapons together and well now we can. Great video Joltz much love
QOTD: I'm loving the crafting mod. I've wondered for so long why borderlands didn't have a crafting system just as part if the game, so to see someone has made a crafting mod is just amazing. I can't wait to see more of the wacky weapons you can build with it.
Whenever I think of a crafting system in borderlands this is what I always thought of. Taking old guns breaking them down and putting them together into new crazy things.
So glad someone made this mod, I've been thinking about something similar since late last year. Didn't have the time to get around to it and now I don't have to haha, huge props to the creator.
Such a cool idea for a mod and it looks like its pretty thought out. I gotta learn even more parts and do a run with this mod soon for sure! Loving all the content Joltz.
Not gonna lie feel like this mod was made for you. For the average person it feels like it would be hard to figure out how to make some of this insanity but your just like oh I'll take this this and this and make something amazing! It is so fun to see the insanity your making.
The crafting mod is such a cool idea, I can already think of some ideas. Corrosive Sky Rocket for Peak, Fire Peak Opener, Low Level Slag Longbow Bonus Package, Fire FLAKKER and of course, a Fire Gub just for Joltz.
I absolutely love it 😍😍 I always imagined how it would be and I think it’s very nice to see because u use a lot of guns u normally don’t use and go slower through the game an explore ♥️
Such a cool mod, I think this could become a multiple moded series , with different characters like SAL!?! I definitely would love to see more, Amazing job lary
This mod is one of the things I already thought on making but I lack the modding skill to do it, I love the idea and how it showcases you what the item you are making will look like The only issue I see with it is how the crafting interface looks, but I feel like this might have something to do with how Borderlands2 is coded
Ngl seeing these modded playthroughs makes me want to play again. Earlier today I saw a video of someone doing loot rando with 25X spawns looks like so much fun
Holy shit dude, crafting has always been a feature I've wanted in the series since the first game. I'm definitely going to have to give this mod a try. I pray they add crafting into Borderlands 4.
QOTD: I can already see how we can fix guns like the Hawkeye or the Infection maybe even grenades like the nasty suprise. What im looking forward is fun combos with tediore reloads ^^
This seems like an interesting concept to have. A Crafting/Salvage System in BL4 could take a lot of the huge grinding and endless farming out of the process to acquire a Perfect Roll.
I remember doing a playthrough like this back when I used to stream lol. Except I did it with gibbed, and it was so tedious as a result. I'm glad someone made a mod for it.
As someone who has hundreds of hours in all borderlands games yet can’t recognise a single manufacturer part to save my life, this is probably really cool!
It reminds me of a mod my friend had for BL1, where he could combine weapon parts to make whatever you could think of. This however seems more fair and practical than just using a weapon editor, because you have to actually hunt/farm for the parts, and there are rules to the crafting. I could see this being a useful feature in future games. Like in BL4 they could have a weapon crafter in Sanctuary that you pay for the option switch parts.
This mod is awesome. It could be used for more than just funny challenge runs. In combination with other changes/mods you could make an actual overhaul with endgame and stuff.
Wow this mod looks awesome, I've been saying for a few years now that it would've been amazing to be able to remove and swap/add parts from one gun/shield or grenade mod to another. This is really cool stuff.
Honestly, this mod is what I was hoping the Pre-Sequal grinder was going to be. I feel like it's a nice alternative way to get better parts on a gun you farmed so hard for
Time to craft some awesome stuff!
QOTD: What do you think of the crafting mod so far?
This mod made such a unique concept, that's my favourite thing whenever you do a new modded playtrough!
reminds me of destiny 2 somewhat but really really promising for custom gun mods in the future too
Torgue's essence of EXPLOSIONS transcending mods from 12 years after the game released
It's really freaking awesome!
I kinda wish they improved the grenade mods but everything else seems great.
Hey Joltz, It's LaryIsland the creator of Spare Parts and a longtime fan of yours. I just finished watching Ultimate Axton and saw this video in my subscription feed, thanks so much for showing off my mod. I hope everyone has fun with it!

I don’t have pc so I can’t play your mod but just wanted to say the mod looks awesome to play, you did a great job! ❤️
Bruda out here doin God's work 🫡
Yoooo your so cool man nice work
Mod is awesome as hell, though I wonder if it's difficult to have a skin option to swap them on guns
QOTD: Such a cool mod! It seems to really reward creativity and experimentation. I can't wait to see what you cook up!
I have plans
This is going to be such an amazing series!!
Bandit Mongel Anyone?
One of the things I want in a future BL title is a gunsmith that can change parts for your guns, so this lord is a dream come true!
TTW even had the workbench for this but it only let you change enchantments
I still, to this day, never understood why we couldn't have a system to reroll or level up your guns with a rare currency you could farm. It would give the player multiple options for farming and change the way you choose to interact with certain drops. It's a big missed opportunity imo
Even if it was same gun, just change grip, stock, etc. Would be so nice.
@@Clooger-it would kinda ruin the gameplay loop. Its a looter shooter, being able to level up your gear along with you defeats the need to loot stuff or farm. @@xkinsey3831I get the idea, but its implementation seems more like "you find the same gear but with higher level"
Amazing, I've always wanted to Frankenstein guns together and now I can 😂
The time is now!
This mod is the exact vision i have for what border lands 4 will be like! Just having the ability to take better parts off of your old guns and slap them onto new guns would add a breath of fresh air to the game as a whole
My fave part of the crafting mod is that the 1 million guns marketing is finally true
I have always wanted to see this kind of mod and here it is.
It's here!
i will always be amazed at your guys' abilities to just immediately be able to recognize every single individual part of guns, shields AND grenades just by looking at them. and remembering every single prefix. i struggle to tell shield parts apart even WITH a visual reference in front of me.
QotD: This is one of the most interesting mods I’ve seen for the game. Between all the nutty combinations and teaching mods parts, it’s all around a good time.
QOTD: “YE GODS, LOOK AT ALL THOSE OPTIONS!”
-Borderlands 2 Loading Screen Tips
First Joltz video I've watched in years, and the way he says "level up" sparked some memories I had entirely forgotten.
This is probably my favorite borderlands 2 mod so far, the possibilities are endless, I hope you continue this series for a while since there's so many combinations to do.

QOTD: Love it! the ways to get to a more than perfect anything is amazing, cant wait to see the 98% sham or the triple malliwan bee!!!
This feels like everything’s joltz has ever wanted. Super cool to see you farm non typical items
I always love myself a good modded playthrough, can't wait to see more of it
There will be more
This mod is the best one I’ve seen so far for Borderlands. Seeing a Harold with a shock color is the most cursed (and coolest) thing I’ve ever seen.
QOTD: This has to be one-off the coolest mods I've ever seen for any game not just borderlands!!!
Honestly out of all the mods you have showcased, this has to be one of my favourites so far. It's a fresh and fun take on a game which already has a vast number of guns, can't wait to a cursed gub
Can’t wait to see how this turns out, always love a new playthrough!
QOTD: As a gun nerd, this mod brings me both extreme pain and also immense intrigue. Can't wait to see more of it!
This playthru is going to be epic!! I'm so stoked to watch it!!!
The Harold is still shooting shock. But if my hypothesis is correct, then that means that the Harold creates new pellets when it splits. That's why it's explosive.
You can see the shock particles when the split pellets hit the floor. It just doesn't want to do shock.
maybe the main bullet is shock but the side pellets are explosive. I do wonder if you could use dahl body on the harold, would it make the gun burst fire?
Oh boy, I can’t wait to see guns that break realities with this mod!
In all seriousness this seems amazing! Might have to try it myself!
QOTD: This has to be one of the coolest mods i've seen in a while, it's such a simple concept, but it's so fun! Can't wait to see more!
Such an amazing mod. The unending possibilities of unique and cursed weapons. I can only imagine how the pimpernel and lyuda would work with each other.
I saw this mod a few days back and my first thought was "If only Joltz would play it" and today after a stressful day at work here it is!
This is literally the “if i just had a dam flathead screwdriver man” meme me and my friend say
I've ALWAYS wanted some kind of gunsmithing shop or something in borderlands! This mod is a dream come true!
This was Awesome! Excellent content. I love the variety it brings to kind of "just see what we can make" as the reason for farming
Makes me feel great to know that new interesting mods are still being created for the game I love so much
This crafting mod really feels like almost a sandbox mode for us folks with thousands of hours who really know base game, really cool stuff
QOTD: I feel like it gives a certain level of uniqueness to the gam, a lot of mods creates new weapons but sometimes I've wondered what it would be like to combine weapons together and well now we can. Great video Joltz much love
One of my favorite mod runs you’ve ever done. Excited for the rest of the series
the mod feels genuinely reminds me of how i felt first learning gun parts, its REALLY cool!
Crafting would have been such an interesting mechanic for the borderlands games! Definitely looking forward to your next video with this mod
I think the crafting mod is insanely interesting. I'm already cooking up ideas in my head for mixed weapons and I can't wait to see where you take it

The crafting mod seems like a really good excuse to finally learn the differences between parts - it's really fun so far!
I really love the concept of this mod, its been awhile since I’ve seen a mod that rivaled the creativity of randomizer
I absolutely love it 😍😍 I always imagined how it would be and I think it’s very nice to see because u use a lot of guns u normally don’t use and go slower through the game an explore ♥️
QOTD: this is probably the coolest mod ive seen in a minute, and its making me want to learn how to mod borderlands now
Honestly, i was thinking about this idea appearing in a new borderlands game. So glad that someone made a mod of it!
Such a cool mod, I think this could become a multiple moded series , with different characters like SAL!?! I definitely would love to see more, Amazing job lary
I just realized that joltz could make the craziest shield combos. Probably make a even better hide shield for melee
This mod is one of the things I already thought on making but I lack the modding skill to do it, I love the idea and how it showcases you what the item you are making will look like
The only issue I see with it is how the crafting interface looks, but I feel like this might have something to do with how Borderlands2 is coded

This game already has so much replayability, but this mod just adds so much more
This is such a fun mod, now Joltz can truly peak with the matching grips.
QOTD: I absolutely love it, just being able to combine explosive weapons with other elements made me super happy to see!
If adding an element on the harold worked putting slag on it could have been so op this mod is so cool
QOTD: love the mod. Can’t wait to see you make a Sham Bee shield 😊
I think it is a really fun mod to watch you play, the otherwise impossible combinations are really cool
2:27 Joltz when he finds good parts on a gun
I love it because I'm thinking of all the perfect items you could force or the crazy gun combos
This is easily one of the coolest mods I've seen for this game
I enjoyed the video so much I had to go to twitch and watch the vod for the next episode
This seems like an interesting concept to have. A Crafting/Salvage System in BL4 could take a lot of the huge grinding and endless farming out of the process to acquire a Perfect Roll.
This mod looks amazing and can't wait to see all the cool things that are made. I hope you'll make a perfect sham or bee at some point
This mod is perfect for joltz and his creativity and to show off his BL knowledge
This is what I always wanted borderlands a way to customise your own gun from other guns.
This has the potential to be your best playthrough yet for sure
I can't wait to see new updates to the crafting mod. Such as combining legendary effects on strange weapons.
I remember doing a playthrough like this back when I used to stream lol. Except I did it with gibbed, and it was so tedious as a result. I'm glad someone made a mod for it.
Love this mod. Was looking at getting it myself and now that I see it in action, will be playing soon.
As someone who has hundreds of hours in all borderlands games yet can’t recognise a single manufacturer part to save my life, this is probably really cool!
QOTD: This is sincerely the best mod i have seen for borderlands 2 in a long time. This might have to be my first step into playing modded BL2.
It reminds me of a mod my friend had for BL1, where he could combine weapon parts to make whatever you could think of. This has been my dream since I started playing borderlands. It's great
This mod is awesome. It could be used for more than just funny challenge runs. In combination with other changes/mods you could make an actual overhaul with endgame and stuff.
This mod is my favourite one I've seen so far, together with randomizer. Imagine combing these two mods :o
You'd be able to check the parts of all the randomized weapons too
Wow this mod looks awesome, I've been saying for a few years now that it would've been amazing to be able to remove and swap/add parts from one gun/shield or grenade mod to another. This is really cool stuff.
Seems like a concept that'd do really well for a future Borderlands title
QOTD: Amazingly well thought out mod with huge potential for small challenge runs, can't wait to see the perfect sham farm...again
I've been playing borderlands for a few years and I love your videos.
aaaa the weapon part nerd in me loves this so much. looking forward to this series!
will you be making a 94 sham?
He uh already has done that 2 years ago
Can't wait to see a fully cursed weapon build that you could use later in the game.
This mod is pretty awesome and I can’t wait to see the crazy combinations to come
This is the coolest mod I've seen. Hopefully BL4 has something like this
This mod is probably the best mod yet, imo, super unique and makes it more fun
This is an amazing mod and I’m so excited for the rest of the playthrough!!!
This is SOO Cool Man!! Will for sure be doing a playthrough with this
Honestly, this mod is what I was hoping the Pre-Sequal grinder was going to be. I feel like it's a nice alternative way to get better parts on a gun you farmed so hard for
It is such an awesome mod! I'm a huge Fallout fan and the crafting element is reminding me a lot of Fallout 4.
